    Tummy Tuck Costs

You need to go on a "medical tour" so then you won't be on your own. I had a Mummy Makeover in Phuket 7 weeks ago and went with a company on the Gold Coast - all by myself! The recovery was lovely - no kids, no husband, nothing to do BUT rest and recuperate. That wouldn't have happened if I'd had it done in Australia. Five nights in hospital and then 12 days at the hotel. For me, it was the best and only way to recover. As soon as I got home I was straight back into it, cleaning house, making beds, etc, etc. I was quoted $11,250.00 by Dr Richardson for Tummy Tuck day surgery in Brisbane. Ended up paying $7,500.00 for my Tummy Tuck at PPSI Thailand (with five nights in hospital). I don't know how you'd do day surgery because you have drains inserted into your tummy to drain excess fluid and blood and mine didn't get taken out until Day 3. I thought I could handle day surgery, as in the pain, but there's so much more to it that I'm glad I stayed in hospital. Would be nothing worse than ending up with an infection or something like that.

    July 2016 Boobs!

De not get me wrong I'm glad I have got it done but I just am so sore in my back and it's making me so stiff. Ventured out to the mall today and just had to sit down for lunch. Quite overwhelming I feel like I am still in a daze. I must look ridiculous walking like a bloody snail. Dreading when I go home and have to look after my child, no idea how you ladies do it when u not meant to lift over 2kgs. I'm hoping that day 4 will see us turn a corner xx

So much swelling everywhere, is it normal to have swelling on sides under arms and further back or is my post op bra too small, it feels comfy just very tight..hard to explain.

    Swelling after tummy tuck

Hi @Sandirella Just wanted to show you a few pics of my Mummy Makeover. My tummy is as flat as they come, so happy with the results. Thought you might like to check them out seeing as though I'm Week 7 out from my surgery. I wear my hospital binder 24/7 and would be lost without it. The only time I take it off is to shower or if I've eaten too much and my tummy swells up and I'm uncomfortable, but it only stays off for an hour or so while I'm laying down watching TV. It just feels so good and holds everything in place. I've added you to my gallery friends so check out my pics. Any questions, I'm happy to answer them.

    June 2016 girls!

POD23, probably pretty far overdue for an update. ? My recovery wasn't nearly as smooth and quick as I somehow expected it to be. I felt human again around POD8-10 (my criteria for that was putting on pants unassisted, haha). Over the last week, my recovery has picked up considerably and I feel almost completely normal again. My nipples are still a bit puffy and sensitive/throbby, and about an inch of each underboob still has dulled sensation. Other than that, I'm all good. Went clubbing til 5am yesterday in a bralette - pain free on the night and today. I'm back at work on Monday. D&F is coming along. As expected, my dominant side is moving slower but I am happy with everything so far. A bit more time and I'll have exactly what I was hoping for (which is amazing, when you think about it). I'm glad everyone else seems happy and healing well. A lot of you I Iove seeing on IG! I know I scoured photos on here of before and after shots to see what I could expect, so here's a few of mine for the other girls who haven't taken the leap yet. Split photo is before POD19, quad is POD1, POD9, POD14, POD21, and single photo is today, POD23. ?

    July 2016 Boobs!

@mes fous I agree with @maybenewboobies, it's really not that bad, when my pain meds started to wear off I started to just feel more generally unwell - aches, pains, fluey, shakes, then I'd take my meds and be fine. Usually start feeling that way one hour before I was due. It's tight and uncomfortable at times but I never had extreme pain in my boobs. I also didn't take the chance of 'seeing how I'd go', I took my endone every 6 hours until I ran out, Valium morning and night. Ran out of endone at my first PO appointment and they said I could have more if I needed but to try the panadeine forte first. Had that instead and it works just fine! I've only got a few tabs left (I'm day 8 PO) now so am reserving them for bedtime to help with sleep, otherwise just taking Panadol every 4-6 hrs. Everyone is different thought but that has been my experience. I say if they give you pain meds, take them, don't wait to see, they don't give you that many anyway good luck!! ps. I had 520cc Unders and a bilateral mastopexy

    Heavier girls.

Don't compare yourself by weight!! I'm an 80kg plus girl size 14 but that doesn't matter when you get new boobs! they do the opposite and help balance out! Do what makes you feel better and don't compare to others - you will be beautiful no matter what size implants you go! Best of luck

    310cc: get me to a 10D/DD?

You do have a fair amount of breast tissue to begin sign so I think 325 would take you to a D for sure, possibly even a DD. Bear in mind implants measure bigger so I think they'll look awesome on you ?

    Tummy Tuck Costs

@LuLu81 those are the before rebate prices. I had extrem muscle separation all the way up. I do believe your would be medical... Mine was. After rebates mine was approx 4,000 +350 and my private health covered the nights in hospital. She is a truly amazing lady. I know a number of ladies now going threw her

    July 2016 Boobs!

No pain if you take meds . When it wears off when I'm sleeping and I wake it just feels tight heavy and swollen . More uncomfortable than pain . But 1st day or 2 I'd reccomend setting alarms at night to take meds - don't let them wear off

    Tummy Tuck Costs

Thank you for your response Bushlander! Yes, that does actually sound appealing, proper time recovering without children or domestic chores. I guess I'm just nervous of the unknown! But it seems like it's quite a common choice for us Aussie mums (to go to Thailand) due to the costs over here...especially since the change by medicare. I'm starting to become more convinced... I will do some more research in this area. Thanks again for your feedback!

    Choosing a size...

I reckon those sizes sound great for you, and Abevemi is right - Mansoor will tell you exactly what he thinks is the right choice for a natural look. He doesn't seem to like or do "fake" so definitely won't steer you into going too big

Jen Mc you look amazing, well done! I'll check out Lily Vrtik for sure. Thanks for the recommendation Those costs sound good...was that after any rebates? Even though I have really bad muscle separation and hernia I'm certain I won't qualify for any rebates. Thanks mumO5!...I haven't ruled out overseas, but due to husband's work and age of kids I can't imagine a family holiday to Thailand would be on the cards for a few years, (esp the state i'll be in on the way home) and I would be really nervous to go over solo!

    Being a woman sucks!

Wow @pink butterfly that all sounds so terrible! I hope this second gyno can help you out - at least if she's done more than 5000 ablations if something is still wrong after the procedure you will know that something else is causing it. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

    Choosing a size...

I have similar stats given that you are asymmetrical I think the size your surgeon has recommended sounds perfect . . I was 55 kgs ( surgery day) 168cm BWD 13.5 cm . I went 450 HP round dual plane . Taken me from a b cup to a 10 F very happy with the size .

    Choosing a size...

Just what I wanted to read! Thank you X He said he wouldn't be comfortable going any bigger than this, I love his honesty! He's not just out to make a quick buck I still have another consultation with another surgeon but I'd honestly be happy just to go with Mansoor. We've already paid for the other consultation so I'll still go ahead with it. It'll be good to have a second opinion too I guess. Just so impressed with Mansoor!

My ribs are sore. Day 2 much better than day 1. Skin is very tight and lots of swelling . I don't dare ice because I had nipple deduction and I don't want them to contract ? and cause any pain . Well not that I've felt anything because of meds. How many days has anyone stayed on strong meds ?

    Those with wide gaps

I have a wide gap and proud of it! My surgeon warned me prior to surgery that because of my anatomy I would still have a natural gap after my BA. Boobs come in all shapes and sizes. If they were all the same, then I would not be me.

    Those with wide gaps

It has a lot to do with your anatomy but under the muscle placement and dual plane placement will generally cause your implants to be further apart. The pectoralis muscle contracts and pushes the implants down and laterally over time. By placing them over the muscle or in the subfsacial plane you can get them closer together and the muscle doesn't push them out over time. But your original anatomy is a big part of it. I asked my surgeon this too and he advised me to go subfascial if I wanted to avoid a 'gappy look'. At the end of day there are pros and cons to all placement types. A bra is always going to bring them together and make them look brilliant anyway! And being only 2 weeks post op you still have a lot of changes to go through! Yours will probably relax and come closer together still.

Calling ALL Dr Kollias Girls :)

I haven't had my BA yet but plan on having it done by Kollias some time this year *fingers crossed*! Nay, Kollias is quite conservative so I think you should go the biggest he will allow because at the end of the day it would never look silly due to him being so conservative. I certainly will be when my time comes! Good luck!

    Happy Again

Tummy tuck here or overseas ??

So so so happy with my tummy tuck with Mr Allan Kalus from Avenue Plastic Surgery in Melb. I had the baby apron, and my tummy always bulged due to the muscle separation. Now my tummy is flat. He did a very neat job
