    August 2016 BA Roll Call!

Has anyone else felt like they want to sit up in their bed and stretch your arms a bit? Unsure how much movement I should do.. It felt good to take these photos to stretch a bit lol They look like typical post surgery boobs, sitting really high and swollen but can't wait for them to drop and fluff ☺️ On the photo you can also see the cut I was talking about I'll keep adding photos to my gallery, so feel free to FR me xx

    August 2016 BA Roll Call!

I had a bath this morning. It felt so good and surprisingly, I didn't need any help. I just made sure to be careful and get in slowly. I don't know how I'm going to go until Friday without washing my hair! I put some dry shampoo in it this morning. I suppose if it gets too bad I can ask my partner to help me wash it. Then again, I'm not going anywhere. I put my pj's back on after the bath coz I feel too fat and bloated at the moment to wear regular clothes. I feel like I have 2 big pointy cones stuck to my chest! At least I should be busy preparing for exams over the next 2 weeks and when the tape comes off I'll be like, 'wow!' Fingers crossed.

    August 2016 BA Roll Call!

Hey girls! Surgery went smoothly, went in at 9.30 and was out of recovery at 12 ☺️ I've been in a lot of pain today, feeling really tight on my chest and arm muscles, but this was expected (just didn't expect this bad haha) Dr K put in 385cc HP dual plane. The only thing that's been out of the ordinary is that when I got up to go to the toilet, obviously my boobs felt ultra sore but I had a really sharp pain coming front my lower nipple. I told the nurse this and she said my pain relief will kick in 15 minutes. But then I had a quick peep in the mirror and I have a small cut which is covered up by a small bandage.. Probably no bigger than 1cm. So I will be asking my surgeon about this tomorrow when I see him before discharge.. I have no idea why that cut would be there, unless it was an accident πŸ˜• Xx

Thanks @emmalouise @Kazza and @BAExcitement75 it's getting better and not too bad just annoying and only in certain muscle activation I think. Makes sense @Kazza I am right handed for the muscles to be more tense thanks πŸ€“ Good luck @emmalouise today not that yku will need it 😜 Wish you well with your healing. Post op morning day 4 and i feel great! Still a bit tired so gonna hang in and watch Netflix maybe get my nails done, loving my new boobies although they r too big for now I know once the swelling goes down they'll be awesome, I have cleavage in a tshirt that I thought would be a good coverage top πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ how's everyone else's recovery going? And nerves for the up coming event???

@Mum_of_4it's probably because you use the muscles on your right a lot more, I'm guessing you're right handed. It's very common ☺️ I'm just sitting in my hospital room now, spoken to the breast nurse and surgery will be around 8.30 πŸ™ˆ

    August 2016 BA Roll Call!

@tilly17 yeah I think I saw a post in the July 2016 thread! Taking deep breaths is definitely a bit of relief I have found that as the night goes on im becoming less sore and tensed up. That will probably change again tomorrow though haha I'm feeling really good! Obviously really sore still but not drowsy like I was earlier today. My boyfriend has been a life saver though, anything I've needed or wanted he's helped me with πŸ’• Also trying to steer clear from endone as much as possible, having a small dose tonight with Panadol before bed but that's it, I don't really want to be too blocked up with bloating etc good luck to the up and coming August girls! Xxx

Ugh. Go away. Cosmetic surgeons and plastic surgeons ARE chalk and cheese. Get your surgery wherever YOU want to. To me, I'd choose Dr Miroshnik - a plastic surgeon - a hundred times over before choosing a cosmetic surgeon. Do what you want, but you simply can not compare the training and qualifications of the two.

    June 2016 girls!

@MermaidUnicorn It's been weeeeeeks and I've only just logged in now! I don't get notifications to my email or anything, so I'm sorry for being rude and ignoring your question. I started at 44.6kg on the day, 157cm, 10.8-11BWD, verrrrry small B cup. I had 330cc textured anatomicals, mod height, mod plus profile, dual plane. I first tried to measure my new size about a month ago, and haven't since. At that time, I was measuring a 28E/F. Here are a couple more photos of progress since I last posted.

I've had a few odd shooting pains, randomly too. My right side seems to be more tender and swollen too, but in saying that, my bigger implant is on the right, so that could explain it. I'm going to try and have a shower and wash my hair soon - that will be a challenge! I'll try and post a before and after shot too...

@Mum_of_4 firstly are you right handed? Because for me I experienced the same with my First BA and it was highlighted to me that your dominate side so to speak will always take more time to settle due to using it more often and your muscle is also built up slightly more on the dominate side, just more ice and rest for it will help..☺️

@Sarah85 sleeping after a ba is the most annoying and frustrating aspect, my advice from experience is by end of first week Panadol is usually suffice for some through out the day but take a stronger Pain medication at night to help get to sleep...pillows are great but sleeping upright Is just awkward if you have a L shape lounge I suggest bunk out in the lounge room otherwise after the second week you can try what I use to do I would gather my army of pillows and make them like a triangular fort around me and I like sleeping on my left side so would build up pillows under that side as well and do a awkward side/upright sleep it worked and eventually I would take away pillows each couple of days until your comfortable side sleeping again

While I agree that not all plastic surgeons are created equal, you absolutely can not compare between the training of plastic and cosmetic surgeons. No one ever goes to a plastic surgeon and then wishes in hindsight that they went to a cosmetic surgeon, but plenty of girls wish they'd gone to a PS after a stuff up from a CS procedure. Based on your comments in other threads, and your statement that you've been in the industry for years, would I be correct in assuming that you work for TCI, or another CS, @cosmeticinsider? I don't mean to be aggressive, but I think the tactics that TCI takes in offering women a "quick, cheap and easy" option for a BA is completely irresponsible. I started my BA search after seeing their ads, and after my partner was horrified at the idea of going there, I started to search for different options, and I'm so glad I did. At least if something had gone wrong I'd know my surgeon would be capable of fixing it.

I know what you mean about being less tense as the night goes on! I definitely feel that and then in the morning it's back to square one with the tight feeling. Lucky it's bearable though How great is it having support and someone looking after you while you get better! My mum has been doing that for me, but she's back to work tomorrow lol boo. Good work on trying to steer clear of the endone! It's so good to help fall asleep with though lol

Had my pre op consult yesterday.... it's gotten me so excited!!! starting to feel very real! Even though still 3 weeks to go for me as i'm right at the end of August. Gosh I am so happy with my surgeon, he just makes me feel so at ease. He was even showing me UFC clips on youtube as he knows i do martial arts. So funny. We decided finally on teardrops (i've been umming and ahhing about rounds vs teardrops for months) and size he will decide in surgery using the inflator thingos. I just can't wait now!!

Hey girls anyone experiencing discomfort in one side only? My left side I can move my arm everywhere I try with no pain at all but my right I get a stinging felling shoot through my breast it stops when I relax my arm and only in certain positions I'm not taking my hands above my head dos don't think it's the stitches pulling. The nurse said its fine which I'm sure it is especially only being 3 days post op now but just curious if anyone else is feeling that. Right is also more swollen. Can't believe how speedy the recovery has been although I have been resting but also walking around a bit, feeling tired yesterday and will Netflix and chill today I think. Sat in a hair salon yesterday for 5 hours!!!! I have a lot of hair. Anyone coming to bondi junction I highly recommend catwalk platinum opposite quest/dr miroshniks rooms I saw david he is an awesome person if u like to have a good chat!

Hi ladies, I had my surgery today at 10am and I feel great! . I have zero pain so far (just pressure feeling) so I haven't needed any pain meds as of yet and fingers crossed it stays this way! My stats were 163cm and 47kg with a BWD of 11.5 and 12. I went 345cc, silicon textured rounds, full profile. I am in love with what I see so far so hopefully when the swelling goes down and when they drop and fluff then I will love them even more. So, so happy!!!

    1 year Post opp Dr.Boonchai

Hey, Just thought I'd provide an update of my boobs 1 year post op. I had 375 , HP textured mentors placed by Dr.Boonchai. They have settled in well. No big issues. I had really sensitive nipples before undergoing surgery and now they are even MORE sensitive. This hasn't stopped. They bounce around a bit now and they are soft. I will upload some pictures after writing this. Scars are not an issue ( you never see them). My scars are under the breasts. I started with a gap between my breasts, about 2 fingers apart. Thats the same. I wish there wasn't a gap but I can wear a bra to push them together. Even sports bras with no underwire push them together which is good. Overall, happy with them. I think it was worth it and when I update them I may even try a slightly bigger implant. However, the 375 are a big and a good size for me. If you have any questions about my surgery or experience overseas, let me know. I get an email when there is a message in the inbox and if it wasn't for the info on this forum I probably wouldnt have gone. There are some pics of my 2 week post op and 1 day post opp up on here if you want to check them out as well.

I just did a transfer with Transferwise - they use local banks so you get the real rate. Think I got 26.42 or something like that. It did bounce back but I think that was my fault as I put in the wrong account name haha whoops! I didn't want to change 10k on the street so decided to do 8500 now and pay the rest when I get there

Ladies just a heads up pleeeease go the bigger size if you are unsure. Dr Kollias is super dooperrrrr conservative when it comes to size! My original implants were 385 and even he agreed he went too small at my appointment last week, but then only suggested 400 ish for my revision. (Im going to tell him I want 500 minimum haha)

    Mission accomplished!

Hi girls! I'm day one post op, just wanted to share my story! It was 3 years ago when I first started seriously looking into getting my boobs done. I had always been very self-conscious about my size. I was an AA and even with a push up bra, I couldn't create any cleavage at all. There was simply nothing there to be pushed up! Going to the beach involved many embarrassing moment. I could never wear dresses that require some chest volume to look feminine. My ex-partner bought me a gorgeous cocktail dress for my birthday once. I was so upset that the top half of me looked like a pre-pubertal teen. I have a bum and a waist but zero boobs. So I look very much out of proportion. I started doing research on breast augmentation. The first website I came across was TCI. The price was attractive and I live in Bondi Junction so it's just around the corner from me. Part of me wanted to get it done asap but part of me convinced myself that I should learn more about the process including the surgeons' credentials, recovery time, types of implants etc. The more I read, the more I was convinced that I should see a plastic surgeon instead of a cosmetic surgeon. I made an appointment with Dr Lim and Dr T. They were both very professional and answered all my questions thoroughly. But I still had doubts. My ex-partner is from South America and we decided to take a trip to Colombia and I thought I could make it a makeover holiday! I was mesmerised by the lovely photos on one surgeon's website and decided to go for it. I made full payment to secure a surgery date. When i arrived at the consult, he was so rude and unprofessional. He just looked at me and said 250cc was the biggest I could go without doing any measurements. So I cancelled the surgery. I was very disappointed as I took time off for it. I run my own business so that was my once a year opportunity. But now i'm so glad I waited because I wouldn't have been happy with the result if I went ahead. Early this year I made an appointment with Dr Miroshnik. He listened to what I had to say about a desirable outcome. Based on that and measurements, he recommended 295, 330 or 345cc anatomical implants. He said it would give me a very proportional and natural look with a good amount of side boobs to match my bum and accentuate my waist! He was leaning more towards 295 because I have a small frame and I want to prioritise a natural look. I had the surgery yesterday at East Sydney Private Hospital. All the staff was so nice and Dr. M really made an effort to calm my nerves! They looked after me really well. They assessed my levels of pain regularly and gave me pain meds when I needed. When I was more alert, Dr M came in to tell me that everything went smoothly. I was surprised to hear that he ended up using the 330cc because I had quite a lot of pec muscles and they had an effect of squashing the implants. So he had to use bigger ones to achieve the same result. Now my chest is really tight! The implants look kind of small but I know it's way too early to judge. So i'll be patient and just focus on resting for now. Sorry girls it's such a long story! I think I'm just really glad that I did lots of research and waited for the right time to have the op so I can let my body heal properly. I'll be putting pics up soon. Feel free to send me an FR if you would like to see them! Or if you wanna ask me anything regarding my experience, I'll be more than happy to help out!

Hi, I go the Absolute Cosmetic, Their staff are very experienced and they charge by the area so you know what you are paying for upfront. I've been to other clinics and that go by units and I end up shocked by the price in the end. They have products starting from $109 upwards per area. The Lips fillers they have are great too! $449 for Juv Ultra

This is a great thread for me to read having just locked into BA surgery in two weeks. Never thought I'd ever consider plastic surgery. Always seemed like a drastic, dangerous and vain thing to do. I like my boobs….they're just too small, that's all. Want to look in proportion without need for padded bras. Doing this just for me…and I now realise that wanting to feel better about my body is - alone - sufficient reason to do it. Hubby supportive, bless him, but loves me as I am…..that said, I think he's going to enjoy the upgrade. Nervous but excited…..will be all healed and ready for summer. Just hoping like hell that my faith in my surgeon's talent proves well placed. I've tried to explain as clearly as possible what I hope my BA will achieve but not achieving the look I want is my biggest fear. xx

I was feeling like i was betraying them too, they haven't done anything wrong! My teeny tiny boobs really came to the party when it came to breastfeeding my two kids for 15 months each. They did a stella job. Im trying to look at it like i owe it to them, to finally give them the look they deserve!!! Just upgrading them from tight-ass tuesday to gold class!!! Lol

I think it's totally normal to feel like this I've just been reminding myself that I'm enhancing what I already love. My boobs may not be perfect but they're mine and they've done their job well. It's just time they had a little help
