  1. Hi! Just wondering if there are girls out there who can share their stories about getting back into crossfit after a BA. How soon, any restrictions etc. I was relatively new to crossfit before my revision surgery (had only been going for 3 months) but saw amazing results in that time and really want to get back into as soon as I can. I'm heading to my 4 week po check up tomorrow so will ask my PS but just wanted to hear from girls that have had the experience.
  2. I saw it when I posted but then it had disappeared
  3. I've recently had a revision due to implant rotation. My PS allocated Medicare item number 45554 to the surgery. I'm with medibank private and have top hospital and top extras cover. I'm yet to go in to claim the rebate but I should only be out of pocket s bit for the anathetist (I paid $900 for that) and my hospital excess whic was $250. My surgeon charged $1052 which is the rebate that I will get back when I go into claim. Medibank private told me to take the invoices to Medicare first and then bring them to the health fund. I had absolutely no trouble getting the revision covered. The surgeon just had to ale sure he has filled in some form and submitted it and I had the health fund fill in my admissions form saying that all I had to pay was my excess.
  4. I got 320cc textured teardrops last year and had one implant rotate. I just had revision surgery 2 days ago and changed to rounds (polyurethene). I think you can have the most skilled surgeon in the world but there is no absolute guarantee as to how your body will react and what the outcome will be. You just have to be open minded and prepared for whatever happens.
  5. Hi, I'm on day 2 post op of my revision surgery. Have had an implant exchange and partial capsulectomy due to implant rotation. I have gone from textured anatomicals (320cc HP) to polyurethene rounds (330cc HP). So far so good. In a little bit of pain but not like I can remember the first time around which was only a year ago. Something different this time around though is the strap that I have to wear. I got told today that I have to wear it for 6 weeks!! It's doing my head in already!! So uncomfortable. Is the strap only for round implants? Will it get easier to wear it??
  6. I'm booked in for a revision on the 17th match and I'm going from textured anatomical a to polyurethene rounds. I'm nervous as hell.
  7. Hi girls, so I saw my surgeon again today and I'll be having an implant exchange in March. Going to change to the Silimed polyurethane round implants. My surgeon is only charging me the Medicare rebate fee($1049) which I can claim through Medicare and private health plus whatever the anathetist charges (might be able to claim that back too) plus my hospital excess of $250. I was going to wait to have it done but I have to have it within 12 months of the original surgery to be able to claim and it will literally be 12 months to the day!!! I'm still bummed that I have to go through this all again but oh well.

  9. I saw him a few weeks ago regarding the rotated implant. He didn't say anything about this breast though and I can't recall it being this noticeable. His surgery is closed for holidays and reopened next week. I already had made contact to see about a revision. I'm just so bummed that this has happened and that if I want a good result I'm going to have to have more surgery and pay more money. Adding insult to injury, the surgery I've gone through have dramatically decreased their prices for a standard breast augmentation . Has anyone had a revision and gone from teardrops to rounds with no issues?
  10. Hi girls, I managed to upload the photo I took this morning of my right breast. Do I think this looks like it's got the double bubble thing happening?? I'm so bummed! My left one has rotated on me (back in position now) and now this
  11. How do I upload a photo? I want opinions on if I have double bubble??
  12. I just don't want to be up for $12000 again!!! Has anyone had a revision? What were the costs?
  13. I'm pretty sure I got the textured implants. The surgery just called me and advised that the implant company wouldn't be covering the cost of the implants. Sounds very confusing but she told me that I could get them redone and they could possibly get Medicare number 45542 attached to procedure. Sounds really confusing so I think I'll just go back in and see them.
  14. I went to my PS on Tuesday. He had a look and it all seems to be in position but from what I described to him he said it DEFINATELY sounds as though the implant is rotating. He said to leave it for now but if it keeps happening and gets too much then we could look at getting them replaced. He said if I go down that road he would suggest that I change to round implants. He also said that the implant company may come to the party in covering the costs of the implants. Has anyone had round implants put in after having teardrops?? How much is revision surgery??
