Gggggg got a reaction from AlanaJ in Furry Brazilian (polyurethane) vs Texured - Your reasoning
Possibly it's because most women review their implants very soon after surgery and my understanding is that brazzies remain hard/firm much longer than other types of implants. I doubt many women jump back online to report the changes so we are left with a distorted picture of the end result. I've read women on here anxious about their boobs still being hard after 4 weeks- so I can imagine that an implant that takes longer than most other types to soften would get a lot of nervous 'regretters' feedback.

All this thread is lacking is Michael Jackson eating popcorn. Facebook is entirely unreliable & only shows the "success" stories. I wrote an honest review of a hair straightener 3 weeks ago on the company's Facebook page- nothing rude, just honest. They deleted it AND blocked me from the page- & that's just from a company peddeling hair irons! If you're directing people to get their surgery info from "the horses mouth" on their Facebook page- they won't be getting anything other than a micro managed advertorial.

Gggggg got a reaction from ayesha79 in Size increase with D&F
I think it varies. I know some ladies say theirs got bigger, but mine got A LOT smaller. At my 1 week post op check up, I was told by my PS that I would lose 13% of what they currently were and he's been pretty much bang on. For reference, I've got textured anatomical unders (XHP in left and HP in right). I'm happy though, because they were HUGE and too big for my frame. From reading endless threads about this stuff, the realself PS's all seem to say that if you feel they're "perfect" right after post op, you'll most likely be disappointed with the final size as they won't stay that big. If you hate the size and feel they're too big, you'll end up being happy with them. One surgeon said that he finds this is the pattern his patients follow: "6 days hate them, 6 weeks like them, 6 months love them.'

Lindy, this is probably a bit late but reading through this entire thread, I'm not sure why a couple of members chose to nitpick you for providing your personal experience. All responses should be welcomed- whether gushing or disappointed. I found your reasons for disliking brazillians on your body perfectly logical. Those ladies passive aggressively "correcting" you for being honest, disappointed me. I agree with you, people can read all the reviews & make their own conclusions. No need to patronize members for honest responses. As for the remarks about you needing to do better research on the implants- I would've thought the surgeon would've explained all the pros & cons of the implant in the initial consult- mine did. They're meant to be the greatest learning resource in this entire process.

WP you're so right about people settling down asap in Australia. I learned that the hard way- you snooze you lose! I gave my favourite year group of homeroom girls (I'm a secondary teacher) what we referred to as "life chats". I told them if there was a nice boy in their year group, not to wait for some other girl to nab 'em because I learned in life all the great ones get snapped up super early. They loved it! A few weeks later they excitedly informed me that one of them was going out with the "good ones" we'd been talking about. If I can save one girl from the same stupid belief I had of "plenty of fish plenty of time" I'm happy!

Gggggg got a reaction from Jules76 in what do u consider light exercise for post BA?
I was a chicken ***** & stuck to the bike for quite a while. I didn't want to do anything that might create "bounce". A few weeks after, once I felt less soreness in the boobs, I progressed to running & weights. I've also added swimming which is a really gentle way to work out the chest. Personally, I like the bike first because it burns calories & works out your legs, butt, abdominals, pelvic region and pulls in the waistline. I remember a gym instructor saying that bikes were the best option for getting in shape. I dropped the weight really fast.

Gggggg got a reaction from Bec Bec in im hoping for a NATURAL look with teardrop 'Natrelle" gummybear
That's so strange reading all the comments about them not feeling like real boobs. I have textured anatomical allergan natrelle XHP and HP respectively- gummies. They feel ridiculously real and look very natural. Obviously not from the start- they felt firm like tennis balls, but once the muscles relaxed they softened up a LOT. It's actually hard to believe I have anything foreign bulking up the ladies. I'm 5 months on so maybe that's why? Maybe it's the profile difference too, but I specified I wanted upper pole fullness and didn't even mind about increasing the size of my breasts- upper pole was all I wanted. My ps described the implants as being "tall" and therefore providing upper pole. Anyway, don't worry about the "feel" factor- I'd read they'd feel firm and not all that natural too- that hasn't been my experience of them.

Are you a very busy person or a natural stressor? I know there's a link between high stress or periods of extreme busyness and then slowing down suddenly- which is followed by a bout of illness. Try to get a lot of sleep and avoid running yourself into the ground- easier said than done I know! A bit of light exercise is supposed to help support the immune system too. I hope the second time's the charm for you!

Different strokes for different folks I'm afraid. For me, painful morning boob lasted 2 weeks- I slept on the couch all that time. Slight tenderness as you described and residual swelling lasted months. You're not waiting for a stubbed toe to heal- as much as it gets downplayed sometimes, a BA is major surgery. In fact, you may have varying degrees of swelling, tightness and tenderness for months- not weeks. My ps explained that the muscles are responding in much the same way as a sprained ankle would. They're inflamed and need to adjust and heal up. Take it all in your stride and know that it's all very normal. I found the first 3 weeks the most daunting. You're through the worst of it!

This is a chicken or the egg situation- do you find the best surgeon available, or choose one who offers the implant type you want? Like Mrs-B, getting hold of the top surgeon was what concerned me. I'd trust their choice & judgement. Turns out we have the same person and they use textured. The brazillians sound slightly hyped up to me. If they are so good, why don't all the top surgeons use them? I understand they look fabulous, but I did read another member saying she can't move hers together or up, they're cemented on. I couldn't feel comfortable with breasts that didn't shift. I'm also curious to know what happens once the material adhering them in place degrades & disappears over time?

If you feel he takes more than he gives in the relationship and you don't feel appreciated or cherished, those are warning signs of worse things to come. I don't want to give any advice about 'stay or go' because ultimately it's your relationship and life. There's a lot to weigh up... do you have similar life goals? Is he overall a trustworthy, stable person who you feel safe and happy with? Does he make you feel happy and confident or unhappy and anxious? Feedback from strangers on forums is fine, but I feel this is a conversation you should have with close friends or family members who know your overall history together. To me, it sounds like you're worried he's leaching off you and isn't wholly committed??? 5 years is a long time together but it does sound a bit like the trust isn't there- never a good thing in a supposed life long commitment    Good luck with your decision! xx

You're a nurse & work in the industry so you'd have a good handle on what to expect. I sincerely hope you get the result you're after BUT I'm also slightly nervous for you regarding the long term effects after reading the surgeon's reply BUT it's your decision! Good luck chasing your dream, Don!

Hmm, if you suspect he may dodge fixing it, record the consult on your phone- or take pen & paper to take notes- just say you have a bad memory & need to keep track of what's said. Don't be awed by him because he's a surgeon- they're just people & they owe you a certain outcome- actually fixing the breasts- not "that'll do". Pre- write your qu's down if you need to & jot down the answers as you go. Good luck!

The smaller Brazzies (under 300cc or so) are softer as they're made of a less cohesive gel.

There's no right or wrong here. If they were utterly fabulous and there was compelling, conclusive evidence to suggest they are a superior implant every surgeon would be using them. But they aren't. Choose your surgeon and have faith that their abilities and choices will give you the result you're after

The cohesive gel anatomicals (410 gummy bears and mentor CPGs) do have a reputation if being firmer too, due to the cohesive gel. And their CC rates are very similar to the reported PU implants.

I can't even IMAGINE having a hard implant as I've had implants for so many years that have been ridic soft and I mean jiggle, move and jump as I do, they are so damn natural I wish they were more fake lol.  However as a single girl I am glad they're not hard as I would be super self conscious getting with boys if I had rocks on my chest LOL.  I get cleavage just bending forward or wearing a normal bra don't need push ups with these babies.

Both have their pros and cons so I really don't like these threads as different strokes for different folks so its great that we have so many variables to chose from.

I'm a textured girl through and through but I think the Brazilians look amazing and they definitely have their place

    Can also cont. with metamusil.

Vit. e or evening primrose or fish oil is NOT allowed as it thins the blood.

And it is best to ask your medico, as staff don't necessary know.

I just had my breast augmentation with TC and if I needed my tummy done I would without a flicker of thought book with him to do it. Have you googled different variations of keywords in google? I think given the class of surgeon he is he wouldn't perform TT if he wasn't going to achieve the best outcome for you.

Gggggg reacted to Mrs-B in Furry Brazilian (polyurethane) vs Texured - Your reasoning
I went with textured. I had a consult with a surgeon who had temporarily stopped using the Brazilian because of adverse reactions from some patients (one was a quite severe allergic reaction) . He also said that taking them out is not an easy feat. I wasn't really prepared to put my body through that if needed. Also my surgeon I decided on is a boob pro (only does breast surgery, lots of reconstructive work, mastectomy etc, has been doing it for years) so my attitude was, if they were the best implant, the best surgeons would be using them... You will find that most of the textured implants actually have a really low cc rate too.

I tend to think, choose a surgeon, then roll with what they recommend as it is their work that will decide your end result, the implant is just a smaller part of many factors

Sloshing is normal- it's most likely fluid or air around the pocket. Are you behaving yourself and staying as immobile as possible? If you're lifting and using your chest area as per usual, you may be upsetting the healing process. Hope it resolves soon.
