Bump! This is a great thread. And I can contribute now!! I'm definitely experiencing all the things that Maisie has said + having to deal with crazy nipple behaviour. I'm having to hide my nipples because it looks weird with one nipple almost always high beaming and the other not giving a sh*t whether it's cold. Soooo thought I was finished with padded bras!
I've also become that person that leans in very awkwardly for a hug (to protect the girls from being squished by some unwitting hugger). No one knows about my BA, so they probably think I'm just not liking them right now haha.

Ittybittyk got a reaction from iDream_of_CeeCees in Does anyone regret having their BA?
I'm 2 weeks PO and although they havent reached their full potential, I have no regrets getting them done at all. Time will tell if I get any complications in which case I might have a different response then, but so far so good. I probably should have done more research into my PS and saw some of his before and afters, but it was my 4th surgeon (I didn't like the other 3 all that much) and he came highly recommended, so I didn't freak out about it - just had some niggling thoughts in the back of my mind at some points.

I know some others have had more cruisey recoveries than me, but I didn't venture outside for 3 days, and I certainly didn't want to go anywhere near a car for a week - the bounce was unbearable! Best to holiday before the BA and then spend at least 1 whole week resting post BA.

I'm 165cm and 52kg and I got 285cc anatomical implants (mod profile). I was a deflated A cup before and now I'm a mid-sized C cup. I almost went smaller and I'm so glad I didn't. I was really concerned about going too big as I didn't want anyone to know and I've literally just swapped my padded and no one has noticed. I would have regreated only ending up a B cup. If you have a similar BWD (12cm), I would go around the 300cc mark. I have plenty of progress pics in my album if you want to see.

Hi @TeaLady, have you asked what your surgeon recommends? I only ask because I was specifically advised to avoid any kind of bras for as long as possible. When I went back to work, I was using a crop top rather than any kind of supportive post op bra. It's good to find out what your surgeon recommends for your specific anatomy and operation.

Ittybittyk got a reaction from LisMäree in 3D vectra - how accurate are the vectra images
My vectra images were actually reasonably accurate. Hard to really tell how they will feel on you without having the sizers on underneath your normal clothes. I felt like having the sizers on under some of my normal clothes was a much better guide as to whether I was going to be big enough.

Great stuff! I was about to write a post that mine just ended up coming out of their own accord and I didn't end up with any infection from it. I had about 3, and if you've had one, there might be more to come. No big deal though as long as it's not infected (have to get onto AB straight away if they get infected). Feels weird and sometimes a small sharp pain before the break through the surface of the skin hey ?

Ittybittyk got a reaction from voluptuous_aj in Soft & squishy or hard as a rock?
Hey @voluptuous_aj I'm in the same boat as you. I thought it was because they used slightly firmer gel because I got anatomical shaped implants, but perhaps it's all to do with individual anatomy... Mine are a little squishy and I'm sure that at 10mths they are slightly softer than they were 2 months ago, but I do wonder if people think that I'm wearing a rather reinforced/armoured bra when I give them a hug! Here's hoping that they get a little softer as time goes on.

Ittybittyk got a reaction from Myturn in How long did you need your post-OP 'helper' for?
Yep, most insurance companies will advise you that you're covered as long as you follow your surgeons recommendations i.e. If your surgeon states that you can drive on day 4, then you're covered as long as you don't drive before that timeframe. Not that many people get this advice in writing, but just make sure that you follow your surgeon's advice.

Nah, the first 2-3 days are the worst and as long as you think ahead like the other ladies on here mentioned, you'll be fine. Just make sure that everything you need is accessible and that you have everything you need (you won't be going to the shops for a few days). Your arm strength will be terrible and you won't be able to reach the top shelf of anything. Even washing your hair is interesting for the first few weeks, but you'll manage. Just make sure that you're very organised and put your man to work while he's there. Good luck!

Hi girls! I'm day one post op, just wanted to share my story!
It was 3 years ago when I first started seriously looking into getting my boobs done. I had always been very self-conscious about my size. I was an AA and even with a push up bra, I couldn't create any cleavage at all. There was simply nothing there to be pushed up! Going to the beach involved many embarrassing moment. I could never wear dresses that require some chest volume to look feminine. My ex-partner bought me a gorgeous cocktail dress for my birthday once. I was so upset that the top half of me looked like a pre-pubertal teen. I have a bum and a waist but zero boobs. So I look very much out of proportion.
I started doing research on breast augmentation. The first website I came across was TCI. The price was attractive and I live in Bondi Junction so it's just around the corner from me. Part of me wanted to get it done asap but part of me convinced myself that I should learn more about the process including the surgeons' credentials, recovery time, types of implants etc. The more I read, the more I was convinced that I should see a plastic surgeon instead of a cosmetic surgeon. I made an appointment with Dr Lim and Dr T. They were both very professional and answered all my questions thoroughly. But I still had doubts.
My ex-partner is from South America and we decided to take a trip to Colombia and I thought I could make it a makeover holiday! I was mesmerised by the lovely photos on one surgeon's website and decided to go for it. I made full payment to secure a surgery date. When i arrived at the consult, he was so rude and unprofessional. He just looked at me and said 250cc was the biggest I could go without doing any measurements. So I cancelled the surgery. I was very disappointed as I took time off for it. I run my own business so that was my once a year opportunity. But now i'm so glad I waited because I wouldn't have been happy with the result if I went ahead.
Early this year I made an appointment with Dr Miroshnik. He listened to what I had to say about a desirable outcome. Based on that and measurements, he recommended 295, 330 or 345cc anatomical implants. He said it would give me a very proportional and natural look with a good amount of side boobs to match my bum and accentuate my waist! He was leaning more towards 295 because I have a small frame and I want to prioritise a natural look.
I had the surgery yesterday at East Sydney Private Hospital. All the staff was so nice and Dr. M really made an effort to calm my nerves! They looked after me really well. They assessed my levels of pain regularly and gave me pain meds when I needed. When I was more alert, Dr M came in to tell me that everything went smoothly. I was surprised to hear that he ended up using the 330cc because I had quite a lot of pec muscles and they had an effect of squashing the implants. So he had to use bigger ones to achieve the same result. Now my chest is really tight! The implants look kind of small but I know it's way too early to judge. So i'll be patient and just focus on resting for now.
Sorry girls it's such a long story! I think I'm just really glad that I did lots of research and waited for the right time to have the op so I can let my body heal properly. I'll be putting pics up soon. Feel free to send me an FR if you would like to see them! Or if you wanna ask me anything regarding my experience, I'll be more than happy to help out!

Thanks @Suziet. Yep, I got done at 10am this morning and I love them so far. I chose 345cc and so happy that I did. Haven't needed any pain meds yet as zero pain so far (only pressure feeling).

    Hey,
Just thought I'd provide an update of my boobs 1 year post op. I had 375 , HP textured mentors placed by Dr.Boonchai. They have settled in well. No big issues. I had really sensitive nipples before undergoing surgery and now they are even MORE sensitive. This hasn't stopped.  They bounce around a bit now and they are soft. I will upload some pictures after writing this. Scars are not an issue  ( you never see them). My scars are under the breasts. I started with a gap between my breasts, about 2 fingers apart. Thats the same. I wish there wasn't a gap but I can wear a bra to push them together. Even sports bras with no underwire push them together which is good. Overall, happy with them. I think it was worth it and when I update them I may even try a slightly bigger implant. However, the 375 are a big and a good size for me.
If you have any questions about my surgery or experience overseas, let me know. I get an email when there is a message in the inbox and if it wasn't for the info on this forum I probably wouldnt have gone. There are some pics of my 2 week post op and 1 day post opp up on here if you want to check them out as well.

@voluptuous_aj your post made me worry! I'm 8mths PO and mine are still a lot firmer than I anticipated. I was too hoping that there would be more softening to come. Let's hope that we follow in the footsteps that the lovely girls who posted on here. Really great to hear that a few others continued to see change in theirs.

I am finding it ever so slightly harder this time round - assuming that is because of the extra work done.  Swelling is crazy, and I am just finding it frustrating to have to go and lie down after being up and about for any more than half an hour at a time.
I still have the dressings over my nipples, so cant really see much.  The swelling is making it hard to see any real shape as well - just looking like large blobs at the moment, lol.
Post op appointment on Tuesday morning though, so very much looking forward to getting a proper peek

Me too - I was part of the flat chest brigade! I got 285cc anatomical unders and mine look very natural - even my family haven't noticed (and they've seen me in swimmers!). I have before and after pics if you want to see. But it sounds like you'll want to go much larger than I went. Good luck!

Ittybittyk got a reaction from Whattodo79 in Too big for me? Advice please
Heya, I'm the same stats as you, except a little taller. I didn't want anyone to know that I've had a boob job, so I wanted to go small and look as natural as possible. I ended up getting 285cc and I'm now a C cup. I almost went 220cc, but thanks to the lovely ladies on here, I went the larger option - I would have been very disappointed.
I don't have boob greed, but I could have quite easily gone a little bigger now that I'm used to them (I'm 4mths PO).
I have a heap of progress pics (plus before pics) if you want to take a look. Keep in mind though that they look bigger in the pics than they do in person.
Not a single person has noticed that I've had a boob job!
255cc will definitely not be too big.

Ittybittyk got a reaction from Pepper9 in Wedge pillow.... Are they worth it??
That's right - it's the little u-shaped pillow that sits around your neck. It's easy to get a sore neck after the BA because you're very limited in what position you can lie in. But between a couple of normal pillows, a boomerang pillow and the travel neck pillow you should be sorted. I could kind of shift myself to lie on a bit of an angle which relieved the pressure on my back. And having a pillow under your knees really helps too. No need for an expensive wedge pillow that will end up as a dust collector IMO.

Ittybittyk got a reaction from Teardrop-Gal in Tear drop vs round - help!
You can get great shape and projection from both rounds and teardrop implants. Most people could have either shape, but sometimes individual anatomy can mean that one will give you a better result than the other. It's also down to personal preference (of the patient and the surgeon). As long as you're using a surgeon that it well experienced with teardrops, the risk of rotation is negligible. But some (understandably) like to make sure they minimise all potential risks they have control over and this is sometimes the reason why people shy away from teardrop implants.
I got teardrop implants and I couldn't be happier. I think that once they have completely healed then you can go back to all the same activities you did prior to the surgery without any worry of rotation.
    Good luck with your decision.
