Primed got a reaction from Haylo*** in My BA/BL with Dr Mark Lee
    Hi ladies,

Having received so much information from other ladies, I really wanted to share my story...so here goes.

First of all I'll give you my stats. I'm 174cm and on the morning of surgery was 55kgs. I'm normally 57, so I guess with the new boobs I'll be back there now.

I woke really early on Wednesday the morning of my surgery as we are staying at a hotel in Perth for 7 days, and I found it hard to get used to all the new noises...and sailors having a party above us.

I got to the St. Johns Subiaco at 930am and breezed through admissions and was sent up to a bed waiting, and watching TV until midday. They told me I was second in line today on Dr Lee's list.

I was getting a little impatient and then they came to get me and took me to pre-op. At this stage I think I would have done anything for a drink. My lips were so dry they had started to crack.

Dr Lee came to see me to mark me up. At this stage he told me that he was delayed because he had a very large reconstructive Breast cancer patient before me. I wasn't feeling terrible at this stage for whinging so much about waiting. I couldn't stop thinking about how selfish I was. At least it took my mind off of waiting for my op.

It was really amazing to me how much Dr Lee actually took in, in my consults that he didn't actually say. He had to do quite a bit of work on miss left, she had moved the most. He didn't quite know until he got me in a sat me up a few times whether he would have to so a vertical incision. I wanted the maximum lift I could, so said go ahead if you need to.

He then rubbed it in, that he was getting lunch and went.

By 1230 I was in theatre. My anaethetist hooked me up, put me on oxygen and the next thing I know I was in recovery, shaking like a leak. I was on oxygen for about 30 mins then transferred back to my room. My nurse Hannah was an absolute gem. Once my oxygen was off, the got me drugs although I wasnr in any pain yet, and said "do you want to have a look?". I had to remember my before photos. One thing I didn't realise until I took before photos is that they don't look as bad from my view as they do in photos. When I looked I almost cried. I was so happy.

Dr Lee came in and said everything went perfect. He had to fiddle around with miss left quite a bit to get her to move in which will be more evident with time. I could have kissed him. He said my nipples are even and areolas are smaller.

My nurse then put my bra on, I had something to eat and had a little sleep.

I felt so good all night, very minimal pain and just chilled out watching TV.

The next morning Dr Lee came back. He said because I've had a BA before, everything has already been moved which is why I'm not in so much pain. He said that my implants were under the muscle not dual plain as my previous surgeon had advised. So he did some fixing up of the pockets and said other technical stuff that I didn't really take in and said see you Tuesday.

Hubby and then kids then came to get me. When I stood I felt a bit nauseas so the nurse gave me something for that. I got home a just chilled out, playing with the kidson the floor, had a couple of hours sleep and felt really good. I'm not in any pain at all, but keeping up my meds for the first three days as directed, then Ill stop and just take antibiotics and anti inflammatory and panadol.

I slept really well last night. Propped up didn't worry me. I'm a little more swollen today, but on the arnica.

So that's my story so far, and pics are up for friends. Thanks so much for the support of the ladies on here. Xx

    Hi ladies,

I'm not sure if you still need info but thought I'd share in case.

I got my implants in 2004 in 2011 had my first baby and other a year ago. Both were breastfed fine, although one side was a bit harder to do (not in terms of milk production)Mine are dual plane. I too are having them re-done. My left one has moved outwards a little. This is only noticable if I raise my hands up. My upper pole has gone too, hence I need a lift with my replacement. Hope this helps.

Hey just saw this post. I was told 6 weeks. At my two week check up they said, that's what we tell you so you're not stupid. I'm now four weeks and can carry miss 12 odd kilos for short periods. I don't over do it and avoid the car seat if in public with a car close next door. I need the door fully extended with a lot of room. Hope this helps others.

    Hi Perth123,
I went through Mark Lee also. He told me he doesn't like his patients to massage post-op unless he specifically says so. I've had trouble with one implant not dropping as fast as the other and he showed he a technique he wanted me to use from about week 6 onwards.
He used Mentor round mod plus textured implants for my surgery.
I found Alex the nurse helpful to talk to if you wanted to call and check with her?
    Good luck:)

My red is quite bright so I just use a light brown pencil for my eyebrows. Blends quite well.

I bought a Simone Perele bra a few weeks ago, liked it that much I went back and bought another one... sorry I've cut off the tags so can't remember the name of it, but the cup is just the soft moulded type, with stretchy lace on the straps and around the back... sooooo comfy! I bought it is natural and a soft lilac, they're perfect for an everyday bra.

I just bought a Berlei 'Barely There' bra, so far this is my favourite everyday bra and it comes it heaps of colours and lots of sizes. They retail at $60 but I got one at Bonds when they had 40% off. Shop around as you can always find them discounted.
I also like the curvessance by Bras n Things but I have been told they doing them anymore, but I got one for $10 in the online sale and it is so comfortable.

Love it. I've been red for a while and contemplating going this shade. Just had copper highlights which I really like. Definitely going lighter red next time. I've got blue eyes and think red suits me the most. Good luck, let us all know if you decide to go ahead.

How funny, I feel exactly the same, about the support. Can't wait to go shopping. Any excuse for me. Hubby is booking a weekend away without the kids so we can go bra shopping. Think he's a bit more excited than me. Which shop did you go for fitting. I've still got a yellow bruise above my left boob. Slowly starting to fade.

I'm doing really well MrsAlwaysRight. 6weeks tomorrow and I go for my final check up at the end of the month. My boobs are starting to get softer now. I'm so pleased with the result. One of my scars is stinging a touch today. Did you stop using the tape a six weeks? I think that's what Alex told me. Must take some more photos. I think I'll go bra shopping this weekend. How's things with you??

I thought I went fully under the muscle but apparently not either I'm dual plane....doh! I think I sat there the whole time looking at the sizers I was wearing and anything that was said went in one ear and straight out the other. It's my husbands fault, I took him so he would listen to what was being said and retain the info haha

I got some maxis from boohoo.com really cheap for just a few wears before you get sick of them..,$40. I bought them before surgery and could notice a lot of cleavage, post surgery was massive. Depends on the look you want. Mine look massive now in the same dress. Just easy for warmish weather.

Everyone is different and I can't speak for the ladies with implants before pregnancy but my natural boobs were ruined with pregnancy and became very droopy resulting in me needing a lift and implants to fill them back up.

I agree with boobsneeded, pregnancy and feeding ruined mine so l needed a BL and BA, l was only a B cup to begin with.
I think with will find you will need a redo eventually after pregnancy, some of the girls have done so on here, hopefully they will pop up and give their advice.

I know practicality is an issue, but who cares when they look that good...honestly they are absolutely sensational. Showed my hubby (hope you don't mind, he heard me saying holy s&@t) and he said, wow how come you could only get 350s....I swear I'm going into fake boob bra business. Xx
