  1. Thanks ladies, this is very helpful. It's very hard when you have kids at home. And time has never been always right. So I am totally get what you mean. Yes, I'm thinking of the post care after 2 weeks too.
  2. Mind if I ask you guys to share your personal experience? Been reading many posts about this stuff and often heard from people who have good experience from getting BA & other stuff done in Thailand as well as some other horror stories from media. So if you have, even for a second, considered having your surgery done oversea, what's the reason to not pursue that path? Especially if high treatment cost here is an issue – how did you overcome that in the end?
  3. You go girls! Nice to hear so far you guys feel great or looking forward to it so far. In a way, it's a great opportunity to really have me time. @lovecat, can you tell us more about your nurse support story?
  4. I have seen a few ladies here are the first time oversea traveller. Not only you have to worry about procedure prep and what follows, you are doing it in a complete foreign place far away from home. Have any of you do this on your own. So just curious what are concerns running into your head and how do you manage? BTW, here's some quote that I quite like. “These places really aren’t dangerous,” she says, “but there are these stories. I just sort of felt that I needed to push past these fears, and I knew that the risks would be worth the reward. ~ Candace Rardon, young solo traveller writer”
  5. I wished they would be one based in Australian. It's just a matter of time, I think. When are you going and which part of Thailand?
  6. Hi Paige1990 If you do some search a few people have mentioned about GPS specifically in various posts. i.e.
  7. If you want to exchange in Thailand, definitely don't do it at the banks. Try Super Rich at Pratunam.
  8. Depends on many other things I think. I wouldn't mind a few bad reviews among many positive review. However after the first few the initial contact, if I few a bit funny like something is not right, or my gut feeling say this is not for me that's when I will do early checkout.
  9. Hi Boobdreams Sorry to hear you experience some undesired result from your BB. What did the hospital say - have you check if they can rectify it? Or do you mind share more of the story?
  10. Interesting! I am going to S Korea in Oct and want to check this out too. Many Asian love going to Korea to get makeover incl Thailand. There's a few tours in Thailand actually do that but mostly for facial surgery or reduce their leg size, etc. From when I went there two years ago, there's clinic advertisement and bill boards in every city subway with before & after. Pretty full on! When are you planning to go and why you want to go to S Korea?
  11. I did mine in Bangkok a while back. It takes little time to recover and you will only need 1 day before be able to do anything. My surgery wasn't cheap but my provider is one of the very first few Lasik clinic in Thailand back then. Never had any problem for over 15 years now. @ioncewasblind How did you heard about Supreme iLasik? I'm quite surprise to learn it cost only about 1/3 of the surgery cost here. Sometimes I saw ads on paper (Syd/Melb) and thought the price here's getting close to Bangkok price. Apart from what 2shea's great recommendation. Perhaps ask if they can provide you a few past patience details who you can contact?
  12. Thanks guys. I think I will pass on the AirAsia promo for now and spend more time to keep looking. At least Scoot price is not too bad so that can be a back up plan.
  13. Yes, I often use Emirate and Thai Airway in the past. Love Thai Airway food. Heard Singapore Airline is amazing too but the price is always not right enough
  14. What month did you took the flight? I like Virgin too.
  15. AirAsia have a mega Asian flight sale at the moment. I have a look around and there are a few deals like Sydney to Bangkok / Phuket for under $600 (carry on only, no meal, fee inclusive). I have never taken long flight with AA before although I used a shorter distant a few times. I have also checked Scoot and it costs $120 more, same period. AirAsia flight is shorter (14hr) but Scoot gives you extra 20kg check in. So just want to hear your opinion on either of the airline. Have anyone try either or both of the airline to Thailand/Asia? Of course, I know that these low cost airlines are lower in services to Emirate or Thai Airway but how bad can it be? Booking Period : 23 March 2015 - 29 March 2015 Travel Period : 1 September 2015 - 31 May 2016
  16. What's medical insurer you are going with?
  17. AYE, Aus rate now is the worst in 10 years. Made me think hard of going anywhere first half of this year. From my personal experience once it goes down, it will take a fair bit of time to go up although I don't think it will go down any further. Bumrungrad is pricey so watch out. Misc cost can add up.
  18. Believe it or not but my mum emailed this to me. Good while you waiting for you BA trip or just want to see what shape will look good on you. Here, see it yourself how it can be done. http://www.buzzfeed.com/augustafalletta/how-to-make-any-boobs-look-bigger#.on8AAq23B
  19. False, I don't need booze to help with that. You love selfie and considering get a selfie stick.
  20. Ran into this news. Although it's about a month but in case some of you haven't seen it. So this is Andressa Urach. I didn't know her before. Apparently, she's Brazilian's model & reality TV actress. She's a mother of one and have done lots of plastic surgery in the past (BA, anabolic steroids, jaw reduction, a nose job, botox injections and much more). She at one point get hook to plastic surgery and really promoting it publicly [ "If you have the money, you can be beautiful. This pretty face you see here, my dear, it costs some."]. It's hilarious and sad in the same time after getting runner-up title of Miss Bum Bum contest, she still want to appear more round and plump. From what I look at her photo, I cannot imagine how she can add more bulk into her legs and bums!. Her last surgery is buttock augmentations via silicone gel Hydrogel injection. That's when thing turned ugly. [There's a more graphic photo of her leg that this one but I should not promote gore here. ] For accuracy, I just copied the below part from the news: ...in July she dashed to medics to complain of discomfort and had 400ml of hydrogel drained from each of her upper thighs. She told Brazil's R7 website at the time: "The hydrogel was not absorbed by my body and started to harm me. Now I've discovered that the PMMA is sticking to my muscles and causing the tissue to rot." Despite the operation, the pain continued in November she was taken to the Conceicao Hospital in Porto Alegre, Brazil, with an advanced infection of her left leg. She underwent two unsuccessful drainage procedures, according to reports, before suffering from septic shock and being placed in intensive care. You can read news stories from here (SMH & Mirror UK) Miss Bum Bum contestant Andressa Urach speaks out against plastic surgery after procedure left her with a rotting leg Miss BumBum runner-up Andressa Urach almost DIED when plastic surgery to plump her rear began to ROT tissue So now she has plastic surgery phobia and speaks against it to anyone while many other successful works still embedded in her body. Interesting... I'm not talking against the work in Brazil. Just want to share to remind you ladies to take things in moderation...to those who have been doing it more than a few times. If it's too much, it's not safe even you are in the hand of the best surgeon. The best surgeon will likely to speak against it anyway so when that comes, stop and listen. Enough rant from me. Good luck with all of your journey guys.
  21. Thanks for your advice. Yes I have been Googling non stop. Tried Whirlpool before but the atmosphere there isn't as supportive and friendly as here.
  22. Sorry Candice, may I ask what's TCI? I am new here and while noticing lots of post mentioned of this company but I can't seem to find its full name. Also is there're a reason you won't recommend them? Thanks heaps!
  23. I have been looked up at Medi Makeovers and learned that they also do a 1 year warranty as well. Not sure what cost include under that guarantee thought.
