imperfectly_lou got a reaction from Meli.k in zero bounce sports bra?
The Juno is meant to be one of the best. I have the Berlei a Ultimate Performance (you can get for about $50 on eBay) but I had to go down a size from my usual bra to make sure it is tight enough. Just to be sure, I wear a tight crop over the top as well. I'm a tad obsessed with strapping my boobs down!
If you are in Melbourne, have a look at She Science. They were very helpful when I emailed them.

post op or high impact sports bra for running etc?
I went from a 10DD to D. The Berlei sales assistant at Myer fitted me. She said none of the other ones were as supportive if I did a lot of running etc. I want to buy the Juno, it's on the wish list.

imperfectly_lou got a reaction from Meli.k in Rastogi girls
I saw Dr Rastogi as the second surgeon I saw and decided against him for several reasons.... Firstly I wasn't convinced on the sole use of Brazilian implants. Secondly he is NOT a plastic surgeon, just a cosmetic one. Thirdly he was a LOT more expensive.
He was very nice and very thorough but I felt much more comfortable with the third surgeon I saw. That being said, my beauty therapist had hers done by him and is very happy.
I would do some reading on this forum before you decide if Brazilian implants are the right choice for you.

imperfectly_lou got a reaction from I HaveBoobs in Getting back to pre op fitness
I had a similar journey Pepper. I had dual rhinoplasty and BA with removal of rib cartilage so I was pretty sore for awhile. I put off getting a BA for years because I was so scared of taking time off training and getting fat. So silly in retrospect.

I started at Day 13 with 30mins incline walking, 30mins recumbent bike every day or two and built that up to 10-13km walking a day by Weeks 4 to 6. I was cleared for all activities at 6.5 weeks but advised just to listen to my body. I started with running one min, walking one minute the first day. Realised that was too easy and then ran a straight 7km the next day. The only discomfort was the sports bra on the incisions. I started weight training Week 7 and was back to pre op strength by Week 10-11.

Im now 4.5 months post op. The only thing I don't do yet are pull ups which I could do unassisted pre op. I can still see my dissolvable sutures under my skin and they pull a bit when I try to hang from the bar. I can do close stance push ups no problems but only a few regular ones. Same pulling sensation...

Agreed. Even with twilight sedation you should still feel pretty zonked for a little while so if he is truly waking you up in the theatre (or bringing your partner in, wtf, hello infection risk) then he must be using a very small amount of twilight. I would check that an anaesthetist is present too

imperfectly_lou got a reaction from Gabby1 in Mirena
Hi Gabby. I got my first IUD in 2008, second five years later and have never had any issues. But around a year ago I developed a small tear around the entrance to the vagina which made sex very painful. I was always quite itchy but because I had no discharge and my vaginal swabs were clear, my GP was very perplexed and sent me to a specialist who deals with dermatological issues of the vagina (can you believe such a specialist exists???)
anyway, she rather abruptly told me that I had quite a bad case of thrush even without discharge and a lot of papers had recently been published on the Mirena and thrush. She said I could either take it out or take a long term anti fungal medication. I'm only 35 so not ready for a tubal ligation just yet and I really don't want to go on the pill so I'm sticking with the medication for now and it seems to have fixed the problems.

You can choose a plastic surgeon for really not much more than you're planning on paying. Not that every plastic surgeon is perfect, but if you do your research you can find a good one in your budget. Plus it comes with a lot more experience than TCI.
I've went to TCI for my first BA, when my mind was mush and I didn't know anything. Plus I needed two surgeries for my desired size so TCI being the budget option seemed like a good idea.
I would never recommend them if you're actually wanting to keep the implants you receive the first time around ??

The risk of rotation is greater if you are someone who does a lot of exercise so that is worth bearing in mind.... personally I love my rounds, they have settled into a fairly natural shape over time.

I told my boss but only because I work a physical job and I thought she'd be supportive, which she was... in terms of people noticing at work, I wear a fairly loose uniform and for several months leading up to the op I wore push up bras, sometimes two at a time. I was wearing chicken fillets until one fell out one day which was mortifying! I think a few people noticed eventually but no one really made a deal about it

I haven't heard of any bad results from Dr Dona. He's had many happy patients on this forum.
What sort of look are you wanting to achieve and what is your budget?

Get them now! Life can change so so much over that time period, you have no idea where your life or financial situation would be at that time. There used to be a girl in here who waited and waited, couldn't get pregnant despite IVF and she wished she'd done it earlier....

I wouldn't see a CS for tuberous. Also, getting them done by a PS may attract a Medicare rebate for your surgery. Some girls with tuberous breasts qualify.

You're right about bras.... also, making sure you have the right fit is so important. A lot of girls end up squeezing into a smaller size which ends up creating more cleavage etc if that's what you want but getting the right size and shape makes a big difference to the overall look

Have photos of what you LIKE and also ones you don't like.  I then circled over things I didn't like eg they are too droopy, or the gap is too wide, they are sitting too high etc etc. obviously they can't recreate exactly but it helps to describe what you want. I went in adamant I didn't want rounds and it took me 3 appointments (and over 3 months) to figure out what  I hated the natural slope on anatomicals!
