I know, it does seem crazy.  It's pretty hard to choose a surgeon when you can't see examples of their work (for what you're having done).  You would think that facelift patients wouldn't have a problem with the surgeon showing their photos to other potential facelift patients - it's not as though they're being shown to just anyone.  And so what if you bumped into them... both of you are interested in/have done the same thing (facelift) so who cares?

I'm 57.  When I was 20 I thought 40 was past it, that by the time I got to 40 none of this stuff about how I looked would matter, I would be G-O-N-E at 40!!!  How wrong that is!
I have to be honest here, I feel happier and sexier in my own skin now than I did in my 20's, 30's and even 40's. AND my sex life is wayyyyy better!

I agree with everyone else, it's your business not theirs and it's up to you who you tell.
I had a similar situation at my surprise 40th birthday party.  My so-called best friend decided to announce in front of everyone (including my parents and some of their friends) and other people who I didn't know all that well that I could just get in the pool and float with my built in floaties.  She said it in a way that made fun of me. I didn't find it funny. I tried to speak to her a couple of days later to explain how much she'd hurt me and ask her why she did that and she got all weird. So I told her what she did wasn't on and not a quality I wanted to see in a friend, let alone my "best friend".  She turned nasty.  We are no longer friends.
I guess some people just feel the need to put others down, tall poppy syndrome, jealousy... who knows.
    You're not over-reacting Mez-Moz.
Respect and trust is important in friends. In my opinion you should pick your moment and let your two friends know that you're upset and why. If you don't say anything and just let it go you will always be worried that they might do it again. If they don't respect your wishes and apologise for what they did then are they really the sort of people you want as friends?

    Hi Shellymee, Vlinder and LizzieVale,
I hope you don't mind me gate-crashing!   Vlinder, we are already friends xx but I haven't 'met' Shellymee or LizzieVale before.
I just found this thread and read it from start to finish because like you, I haven't been able to find much at all on facelifts on this website and I share your concerns and interest in the subject.
Shellymee, I really hope that recovery is going well for you, and that the results are fantastic and everything you could have hoped for. I would love to know how you are doing.
Vlinder, how are you lovely?  Are you okay after your 'washout'?  I'm getting nervous in case I get an infection also, (not sure if I told you I had my silimed brazillians replaced on Wednesday)
Girls, there's a really interesting post on the 'Real Self' website from a lovely lady who explains step by step her full facelift experience. She's in the US but it's still a really good read and I thought you might be interested in having a look.  There's lots of befores and afters of her too.
It's under 'Wanting the Outside to Look Like the Inside Feels'.  I found it really informative and great reading.

Miss Bolt-ons you are so exactly right!!!  I'm also so sick of hearing this absolute BS about the polyurethane coated implants having the lowest rate of CC blah blah blah. I got CC with these implants within a few short months,  I had previous implants for 16 years with no problems. These very implants have ruined my chest. They were superglued on and I had to have my own breast tissue cut away to get the B****ards out.  Like you I have had multiple issues. These implants are gimmicky, harmful and complete rubbish.

    Ok small update.
my friend wants to get her first time BA in Thailand next year and I told her to go to dr Boonchai.
i said that if he would do my revision that I would come with and bloody hell he will. He said up to 800cc I just have to let him know a month in advance to order the inplant.  Cost approx $7000 AUD so now I have to try and work out how I'm going to fund this and my jaw surgery lol. No spending for moi. If I do do if will probs happen early next year ?
@mumO5 are you still upsizing with him?

Or are you a receptionist for Dr Ragosti? I get really sick of reading you encouraging use of these crappy implants that caused MULTIPLE complications in me....they're absolute garbage

Hi girls, I am seeing Dr. S this pm when he will remove my drain ( that  leaks on my skin, not in the bag, big smelly mess.
Then no doubt will have a discussion, but,,,,,, he is VERY difficult to talk to. However these infections have to be eradicated before anything else can be done!  At present I am still on antib. (another one)
Last week he even suggested I might consider removal of my other implant as well and be a la 'natural' .  Me:  no way!
Thanks Cathy, you obviously know my PS !  So far, I don't know if the infection(s) are completely cleared before more surgery. Obviously I might have to be more pro-active with him, or his staff, I was so upset last week that his CEO contacted me and we did have a constructive ph. discussion.
Will inform you girls what this outcome will be, in the meantime, thank you so much for your support, needed and appreciated!
    It REALLY helps me

Yah I agree... it's really frustrating.  I've been following some awesome "journeys" on Real Self and considering the possibility of going there for facelift surgery if I can't find a really good PS here who I feel is the right person.

Hey Kazza, sorry to hijack this thread but can I please ask you about your rotation?  I have anatomicals too and worry about rotation.
Did you know they had rotated before you went for a check up?  I always imagined it would be really obvious... like it would make you look weird.
    Are they uncomfortable/sore/painful?
Is there no way they can be manually rotated back the right way?  One of my friends had a rotated implant and she just manually moved it around and it went back to how it should be.
Thanks for letting me bombard you with questions!

I'd be happy if I had boobs like that, they look great! There's slight asymmetry but that's normal! I just watched game of thrones and khaleesi was topless and her boobs were way more asymmetrical than yours but they/she still looked awesome. It sounds like you are experiencing psychological issues, (nothing wrong with that either!) and i think it's great you're seeking help. I think no matter how many of us think your boobs look great it won't help you change your mind, you really need to conquer your inner demons. Maybe take a break from social media/instagram for a while too, seeing perfectly photoshopped  models constantly isnt good for anyone's body image!

Thank you girls for your input, I believe I have an unrealistic expectation of what the look I am after. I was unhappy with my first pair due to nerve pain and yes the nerve pain is now gone however I am comparing my result to my previous ones and I think that's where my aniexty has come from.
The aniexty and depresdion has become so bad that I can't sleep at night and constantly think about them all day. My hubby has told me that I'm seriously crazy and over analysing them and that is very true, I just don't know how to stop and be happy with them. I should be happy that I don't have nerve pain right? Well my mind is wishing that I could have my old boobs back with the nerve pain.  This plays over and over in my mind and has taken a hold of me.
I have seen physiologists and counsellors but I still can't escape my mind. I'll see a physc tomorrow and hopefully it will help me.
I just can't believe that my mind would do this all over a pair of boobs. My life was perfect and now I can't get through the day without feeling like I'm having a nervous breakdown, all because of implants , just saying it makes it sound silly.
I just hope that I can get over this and start enjoying my life, thank you girls for your input.

I honestly think that they look lovely. They look big and squishy with a nice shape and awesome cleavage!!
Stop beating yourself up over any little imperfections that you see in them. Don't waste your life worrying about boobs that look freakin' hot!!
Did the surgeon fix the nerve pain? If yes, then absolutely move on and be happy that you have great boobs and no pain.

I think it's hard to comment more meaningfully without seeing before pics or what they looked like pre revision or your wish pics. The reason it's hard is because I think they really do look really good so without being able to see where you started its hard to see the reason for your disappointment!!
I do think they look really good and I hope in more time as they settle more you become happier. How long ago was last revision?
As you say, be kind to yourself and don't focus on what you see as a perceived flaw but maybe focus on what you do like about them, how they have improved etc. I think try look awesome and I bet in clothes you look even more amazing and if you spend too long focusing on what you don't like about them naked, love them dressed up first!!!

Cathy got a reaction from Missbolt-ons in Best breast surgeon in brisbane?
    Hi Miss Bolt-ons,
So, so sorry to hear that you went through it too.
I've just had my 3rd surgery AFTER having the brazillians removed, so 5 surgeries in total in the last year.  This is to try and fix the damage that the brazillians did. As you said, they stick like glue and the only way to get them out is to cut away your actual breast tissue with them!!!
I saw pictures of the removed implants with the capsule around them and my breast tissue still attached in places. Disturbing!!!
We never, ever know when we might have to, or want to, have them removed and to have it cause that much damage and trauma is just NOT RIGHT!!! No implant should EVER be that hard to remove!
AlanaJ, while I appreciate you have had a good experience with these implants and are happy, you fortunately haven't had to go through the experience of having them removed and what that does to your body (and I hope you never do have to!).  So please understand that this is why Miss Bolt-ons and I are saying the things we are, so that others are fully aware of what can happen when things go wrong.
Like so much in life, it's only when things go wrong that the true picture of something emerges.
