This goes to all of us immediately post ba. Nanna naps are our friend!! ?

2 weeks post op - got my bandages off yesterday. They do some weird things - right dropped, then left, odd shaped, more side boob in one over the other... ?

Thanks for the reassurance Katemav26 and Pinkacrylic. I called the dr's office just to be safe and spoke to the nurse and she said it's quite common to get bruising through the sternum and at the sides. I wasn't overly panicking, just a bit cautious. Day 2 today and feeling great. Hardly had any pain meds and have been up and about a bit more. Considering I had unders I am quite surprised. Just had my 7yo son vacuuming and my 10yo daughter made me a cuppa tea so relaxing with that now waiting for hubby to get home. I am loving all this pampering

YES! For at least the first week I was constantly having to stop my partner and say 'can you actually believe I have finally done this?!?!'  Feels so weird to be through though doesn't it!

4dpo, off all pain meds. Went into work with my partner for a bit this morning (we work together) but got tired very quickly. Home now and resting before the kids come home from school. I still can't believe I did it. Does anyone else have that surreal feeling?

Well out of my surgery!! What a wild day, car accident on the way so was 2 hours late! Didn't get into surgery till 10. Because I had done all my consults via Skype, it was my first face to face with dr Ali, and because I have a bit of a hollow between my breasts an a large gap, he decided it would be best to go over the muscle, I have broad pecs that were high too so the implant would have sat further out. And because I have gone over the muscle I decided to go down to 390 hp.
I was very nervous last night but I decided today no negative thoughts, only positive and it really helped. I only got 1 hour sleep last night, just couldn't sleep ?.
I feel awesome right now and my boobs look awesome. The staff here are amazing and such sweeties, still waiting in recovery. Can't wait to go see my husband and babies!

    I HAD THEM DONE!!!
My sister received a call early this morning from Bondi Junction Private Hospital to say we should come in an hour earlier (09:30)
    because someone has cancelled.
The Nurses were amazing, so friendly and made me feel comfortable.
i was extremely nervous and shakey - i knew everything would go well but ..you know..just normal nerves.
Dr M came into my room at 11.15am to draw me up
i ended up going for the 330cc (so happy that i did)

The anaesthetist was very informative and professional. Told him about my terrible asthma and he said i had nothing to worry about.
before i knew it..i was knocked out.
i woke up thinking "what. is it done already???? what??"
    ahhaha
couldn't move that much but my throat was hurting so much - it was so dry and sore
i started fasting at 9pm the night before even though i was instructed to stop by 12midnight.
the nurse moved me back to my room where i just slept in and out..
I had nurses and Dr M come in and check on me but i was fast asleep so couldn't see them.
took a good 4 hours of in and out sleeping. the nurses came in to make sure i drank, ate something and peed.
i wasn't too keen on eating anything so i just had a fruit cup and some water.
I found it so difficult to pee! LOL - thought i fell asleep on the toilet
they said i could leave when i wanted.. so  i left as soon as i thought id be ok.
I wore track pants and hoodie (the regret. its so hot in sydney!!)
good thing I'm staying at a hotel next to the hospital.

When my sister and i got back to our room i drank soooo much water and peed like no tomorrow
i'm not feeling that much pain yet..
its tight obviously...but not that tight!

i'm not sure what cupsize the 330's will end up achieving, but i think its going to give me an amazing result.
    i guess it'll be a C-D cup
    no issues there.
as long as i am rid of my B's !!

from 5pm to now (10pm) i've been dozing in and out of sleep ..
constantly having ice packs on my boobs as well as heat packs behind my back
my sis has also been super supportive - cooking, organising meds ..everything! so glad i had her with me.

i really hope that i dont have much pain tomorrow.
i hope the pain stays like how it is right now and not get worse. because i don't know if i could deal with that
    Dr M is amazing.
i was super uncomfortable - because no ones seen me nude apart from my boyfriend
but hes extremely professional - since day 1 its just been lets get down to business.
So glad i flew up here and had him do it. i don't think i could ever trust anyone else.
I've been to numerous consults and each have been terrible.
i was so confident in choosing Dr M that i pre booked the op date even before i had a consultation

too scared to take the post op bra off right now, but i will tomorrow before a shower and take photos.
but this is before hand :

i think you've done well in regards to cutting down on your smoking. Don't be too hard on yourself. I know it's very hard to stop. I used to be a smoker and it took a while to completely stop.

    Hey Mummyx4!
Don't freak out! I have the same thing as you with one boobie sitting higher than the other and therefore the nipples weren't in line. I've attached some pics of 2 weeks post op and current - 5.5 weeks. It's still very early, I did show my surgeon and he said that they will settle and catch up with each other over the weeks and months so we just have to be patient! He said I'll have to wait AT LEAST 2 months for all the swelling to go down and they have changed quite a bit so I'm not concerned. Also no boobs are completely symmetrical and I know that my left boob was only the slightest bit bigger than the right and the nipples were not symmetrical at the start either. My crease on my left boob (your right in the pic) was also slightly lower than the right to begin with. I'm not too fused with them looking exactly identical, as long as they look the same shape and size then I'm happy! Hope this eases your concerns!

    Hello March Ladies.
i hope you don't mind me posting in here but as I had mine done last (4:30pm) on Friday the 29th feb, I thought I'd pop in to wish you all luck with your upcoming surgeries.  I'm po day 3 and had 330cc teardrop unders with Dr Broadhurst. Recovery so far has been a dream with no need for pain meds since yesterday.  The most uncomfortable part is the bloating, pain from constipation, and period pain on top of it all. I'm starting to feel some sensations in my boobs like air bubbles. Hard to explain, but like if you were to put your hand on top of a fizzy drink iykwim.  They change from one day to the next. Today my lefty is a bit bigger than my righty, but I'm not worried about that as I know it all takes time and they will heal at different rates. I have really scary looking bruising too down through my sternum, around the sides and bottom of each boob and on the sides of my ribs. It's black, but this morning I have noticed it fading just the slightest little bit.
Also, someone mentioned giving up smoking on here and I have to admit that although I tried really hard all I managed to do was cut down. I am normally a 20 a day smoker and I had three the day of my surgery. (Too stressed and terrified). Post op is the danger time where one really needs to be smoke free and I have felt so defeated and ashamed at myself because I still haven't been able to stop completely. I've been averaging about 5 a day. I know what you must be thinking, but I already feel bad enough about it. I wanted to share in case I'm not alone in that struggle.
I have my fist post op appt next tues. I have added some pics for those interested. First pic is day 1, second pic is day 2, third pic is day 3, and last one is before and after.

I haven't seen anyone else bruise this bad. Should I be worried? It goes all around to my sides on my ribs as well and very swollen there.
