I'm fair too and I have just this week used Bondi Sands -dark and love it!  It's the first time I've done my whole body and not just legs, and it is a very natural tan, no orange tones at all

Sorry for the late reply!! So the weight of the bar doesn't make the nipple sag at all? i love the look of it, just worried about infection and the healing time as I've heard it can take months?

I really want to get mine done too! I'm only 10 1/2 weeks post op, do you think I should wait? I want to get it done before the feeling comes back in my nipples as they are still numb.

I'm a runner, I have done a marathon, numerous half marathons, 5 & 10Kms. I'm now 4 weeks post op and I am desperate to run again! But at my nurse visit today she said a definite NO to running until 2-3mths post op. I said I'd wait til 2 months and then try. She advised me to listen to my body and if I felt ANYTHING I should stop. Saying that, she's happy for me to start cycling and swimming again (YAY!)

I don't have to wear the post op bra anymore but I am at night, it keeps them nice and supported. I am able to sleep on my side now, but I am hugging a pillow to my chest cause it gives a bit of support. I am finding they are a bit achy in the sports crop during the day at times, I think thats cause they're getting used to the different support (I have no idea but I will go with that).
No one at my work knows, I'm only friends with 2 girls on FB so I'm sure they have seen everyone's comments on my boobs and have figured it out, but they haven't said anything yet.

oh wow I can't wait just to go bra shopping because at the moment I do not have any bras that will even fit me because previously my only concern with bras were how much push up padding it had .. Do you still need the surgical bra at night???  I hear you with this heat, I have a lot of singlets which looks so ridiculous with the surgical bras, I have been trying to dress with bigger shirts on especially at work for a) still feel tender to touch so I don't want to put more pressure on them (which is hard, as majority of my wardrobe is body hugging shirts)  and b ) I just don't have the energy to be going into details with everyone who wants to know where, when, how and who haha, I love my boobs but I just need to heal and recoup before I feel comfortable putting them on display, but I do see people who notice but are not sure weather to say anything lol. Look out everyone once they D&F
@gsr4232 that is my fear of falling on them, I keep going to grab my son when he just about falls etc. and that shot of pain goes through and sure reminds me.  I'm so eager to get started with some kind of fitness even just the treadmill will do !!!!!  It didn't help that I had to stop all pec work four weeks prior so then that made me even more paranoid of even using my arms!!! I had also gotten bursitis just under my knee joints so was healing from that as well so leg work was bare minimal.... Really feeling like a whale atm haha. I'm not daring to jump on the scales just yet!!!!!
Your photo's look great and you can definitely see the difference, well I guess I'm just a late bloomer haha - story of my life!!!!

I'm now 4 weeks post op and had a check up with the nurse today. I am so happy that I no longer have to wear the cupless bra and I can now start wearing sports crops or soft cup bras that are supportive! So that also means I can wear singlet tops again! In this QLD heat & humidity I was dying in t-shirts. The nurse was really happy with the progress over the last 2 weeks and I don't go back til March to see my PS.
In regards to exercise, I am now allowed to get back to cycling and swimming and walking  but she said NO to running for another 4-6 weeks  And no gym for another 2 weeks. I can deal with that, I'm just happy to get back to some training.
I did a measure last night and they have grown a little since I last measured about 2 weeks ago.  I'm 32in band and now 38in around boob, so according to the bra size calculator I'm 10E. I am not even going to bother going to buy bra's or get sized cause I know they still have alot of changing to do. But I am so happy with how they are looking already, they can only get better!
On another note, is anyone getting lots of comments yet?? It seems I can't even put up a selfie on FB without everyone commenting on my boobs! hahahaha
Hope everyone is recovering well xx

I bought some just today, they felt good when I tried them on, so hopefully they will be ok

I also went and bought the Lorna Jane "Comfort" crop, which is a high intensity support crop. They are very supportive and hopefully will be good for when I am able to run again. The LJ sales lady had her boobs done and she highly recommended them. I did try on others but I felt there wasn't enough coverage to give really good support, but I was mainly looking for crops to wear for running.

Thank you so much ladies for getting back to me, think I was feeling a little overwhelmed yesterday ? @Lotus16 I have been taking photos everyday as well   just so i can compare... maybe I was expecting some big noticeable change. I was thinking if they don't move soon I will have to wear a strap, but the nurse didn't seem to be worried.
@Lore2505 & @Kathy_1011 Ive never really cared for auto cars UNTIL NOW!!?I tried driving again today and still having trouble with 5th gear, I think I may need to  swap cars with my mum until next week,?.  @Kathy_1011 The side boob is a very strange feeling, I sometimes feel like I'm walking with big guns ??, but I know about it when I knock them.
Does anyone think there girls are going to be bigger then they expected, I've seen a few post were theirs haves d&f and are bigger then they anticipated, sure had me wondering.

I am not allowed to do chin ups ever.........what my surgeon said. So I have adhered to that. I still do chest work but don't go as hard as I used to before my BA. I am over 2 years post op and I don't really limit myself to anything except for the chin ups/pull ups that my surgeon did not want me doing. I also do HIIT - high intensity interval training twice a week; go to the gym 3 times a week doing weights and go power walking once a week. I created a fitness plan with my surgeon prior to surgery - we had a big discussion about it. I was allowed to go back to the gym at 3 weeks - but no weights, no upper body work and no abs. By 6 weeks post op I was doing light weights. By 4 months post op the weights were a lot heavier and by 9 months post op I felt I was pretty much back to  normal. But I was very careful as I did not want to stuff up my surgery.

    Hey Girls

I found this info on another message board/forum and thought it would be helpful for those wondering what the healing process involves. I wish I had this earlier. I'm a little behind (probably due to my age).
Don't take this as gospel, just a guide. Hope it helps   Bec

Phase 1. 0-3 Days Post Op - Soreness on sides, ribs, sternum, and maybe back muscles. Swelling, tightness, shiny skin. Square-boob/highness of implants. In/out of it depending on pain medication being taken. Sleep is best in recliner or with a wedge to avoid swelling overnight and back pain. Almost everyone needs to sleep on their back only.

Phase 2. 3 Days - 2 Weeks - Moodiness (also related to meds). Sore to raise arms/reach/lift anything (follow PS instructions carefully to avoid Hematomas). Ribs/sternum/sides still sore and/or swollen. May have burning/itching feeling on breasts as nerves wake up. Still very difficult to sleep on sides without pain/discomfort. "Morning Boob" begins. Implants start to move a little, but still sit very high.

Phase 3. 2 Weeks - 3 Weeks - Comfort setting in as soreness dissipates. Nipples very sensitive, swollen, hard. Sunburn feeling on breasts more common. May begin lifting/reaching but no overextending abilities (if it hurts, don't do it - as always, follow PS advice closely). "Morning Boob" continues. Most are wearing sports bras by now and may be wearing wireless already. Some people have massages, some don't - depends on PS. Shopping is awesome! First sizing will be larger than pre-op but not yet what size will prevail - be patient . D&F is starting but one will more than likely drop faster than the other. Also swelling will subside uneven as well, so one side may look larger than other side temporarily (besides normal, that is). LOTS of changes going on during this time in looks - don't panic!

Phase 4. 3 Weeks - 6 Weeks - Boobs feel a lot more comfortable now. Soreness is almost gone, incisions look pink/purple and are a little raised. Implants are starting their descent and feel softer and move around more. Able to sleep on sides without much discomfort, although "Morning Boob" still evident (not as bad, though). May have soreness along sides, air bubbles, or other weird noises happening - these are generally OK. Activities return to normal.

Phase 5. 6 Weeks - 3 Months - Most healing is done and tenderness gone away. Scar gels/creams can be used. Exercising can begin again. Probably being instructed by PS to wear wire bra now (maybe 24 hours at a time). D&F slows and gets to where it's going. Boobs look and feel great! Morning boob fades away and becomes non-existent. Dropping progresses much more noticeably now and fluffing begins. Bra sizes begin to change as well, so don't overindulge just yet. Exercise can resume as usual, although will notice different feelings when working on peck muscles. This discomfort may be strong, and you may wish to avoid it. Also, you may find that the space between breasts is more oily than in the past.

Phase 6.3 - 6 Months - Fluffing continues but bra size shouldn't change much more. The softness will increase as will comfortability. The scar tissue is still dark, but softer and not as sore. Sleeping can be done in any comfortable position and any bra usually can be worn.

Thanks @Yollie, I made an appt to see the nurse as I could go straight from work today, even though I was feeling much better. It gave me piece of mind for her to check it out. She was really happy with how they have changed after wearing the cupless bra for the week and isn't at all concerned that there was anything wrong. She gave me a script for antibiotics so I can start them straight away if I started feeling unwell and had an infection. I see my PS next week too. So I'm feeling much better to know I haven't done any damage.
@dream it - live it how are you feeling?
@boobiesforme I am so with you on the letting people help, it's frustrating to sit back and see things that need doing and not being able to just do it, especially when you feel pretty much back to normal. Have you made a decision about going back to work?
