How's everyone going with recovery? Just wondering what your surgeon has recommended with weights/exercise from the 3 month mark? Are you back to normal? Any restrictions?

@DrMGirl2017 I got a few prune juices and put them in the fridge, had one every second day and no issues. I also had coloxyl in the cupboard which I think I took one day as a precaution too.

@Soph132 it's so heartbreaking having these moments after what we have been through and how much we have spent... but I think the end result will make us happy... just need to be patient 😬

@Vaticinal oh love, it is so normal to worry about everything, I think it's a normal part of recovery. Your surgeon seems to be very supportive in making sure all your questions are answered and taking the time to try to put your mind at ease. I hope tomorrow's appointment helps! I've had a few 'what have I done??' moments, have I gone too big, too small, is it bottoming out, am I doing too much, should I be doing more, are my nipples going to look like that forever, is one bigger than the other, you can tell ones bigger even with clothes on, was my surgeon the best fit for me, should I have done this to my body, the scars might look awful, will I get capsular contracture or some other complication, it's hard to put all the extra pressure on hubby with kids and home for these few weeks, how will this effect my exercise regime as it has so much already... the list goes on... I'm just covering them up and waiting to the 2+ month or so mark to assess properly. They look so different by the day/week now...! And I'm getting happier. A friend of mine went through the same doubts so i think it's common! She said she wrote down some positive affirmations as to why she wanted the surgery and just read them over and over if ever she had any moments of doubt. So I am remembering those before pictures where I had zero! That I've wanted boobs forever! That they look a million times better than before! My boobs and nipples aren't saggy anymore! Soon I'll be able to buy gorgeous lingerie and feel so sexy and womanly! Swimmers and clothing looking great! Those things to look forward to are helping. The recovery period is tough though... I hope that that you can try and sidetrack yourself with some of the great things that your new assets will make you think and feel... 😊 Goodluck tomorrow!!!

@Vaticinal what's your BA account? I'll add you if that's ok? The no walking is driving me batty too. An the bloating ugh! I think I can start light walking from today and actually feel like I could too. Went back to work yesterday aswell and felt ok. Can't believe this time 2 weeks ago I was getting operated on!!! Whats everyone elses surgeon recommended regarding exercise? And what sports bras have you been recommended? I have an appointment with my surgeon tomorrow but from memory I can walk at like 4km pace from this week and then at 3 weeks back to normal pace walking... 5 weeks can be running. 6 weeks back at the gym. I've bought the No Bounce Running Bare crop just waiting for it to arrive in the mail, but with my arm movement I'm pretty sure it won't get on at this stage πŸ˜‚

@jc14 @bluegumboot I asked my surgeon about swimming as I have a pool in the backyard. I can't remember if he said 4 or 6 weeks but basically the concern is in a public pool if your incisions are going to allow any bacteria in. Your pool at home is safer than a public pool. Or at the beach the sand could be an issue for your incisions. I would just ask at your next follow up appointment to be sure 😊

Lol @Bearynice glad your nipples are in tact πŸ˜‚ I have worried about the same thing so make sure I dry the tape so thoroughly!

@Vaticinal if you can put it on a looser clip then try that... 😊 See if it helps your comfort levels.

@Vaticinal I remember you saying your post op bra is a 34B which I think is your problem. You would've started at a 34B and should probably be in a 34D or 36D! my surgeon has put me in a 36D post op bra - I started at a 12 A with a 350cc moderate plus implant. Considering your implant is high profile and a tad bigger I would expect you'd be in the same size post op bra as me?? Maybe check the post op bra size with your surgeon. As the other ladies have said every surgeon is different with their rules for recovery too. So changing to your sports bra now would be fine under some surgeons guidelines and not an issue. it sounds like your post op bra is actually compressing your incisions which your surgeon has said isn't ideal. @Bearynice I hope you enjoyed your red wine! Sounds like it is a must for your recovery. And I hope all you other TT girls are feeling ok and recovering well 😊

@leany They showed me at one of my original appointments and it's lifting your arms up above your head and things, little stretchy exercise things, helping things drop and settle. I am sooo looking forward to cleavage!!!! It sounds like you are healing perfectly! Yay! Your scar will be hidden nicely too by the sounds. Don't forget that they will get bigger again as healing progresses! And obviously look a bit more normal. The nurse said the 1 month mark is a good turning point to me... and from what I'm seeing in others photos I have to agree they look much better at 1 month. Then bigger and better again as time goes on. @bluegumboot the pop would've been alarming 😳 I dream of the day of no morning boob πŸ˜‚

@leany it was good thanks. 5+ hour round trip for a 20 minute dressing change and check, but need to do these things 😊 Not like I can do anything but sit around at the moment anyway πŸ˜‰ So the change of scenery was nice for me. Hubby not so much πŸ˜‚ They said the bruising and swelling should subside through this week and I'll start to notice cleavage. I just have the tape on now and they'll change that next week when I go up. I don't start their little exercises yet as I'm still too swollen. Scars are looking good so far. was your appointment yesterday!? How did you go? And you @jc14? Its annoying me I can't see all the pictures from the last day of conversation. I want to see this dress everyone is talking about lol. Looking forward to that being fixed ☺️ @Indiana01 I can't see your pic at the moment, but I've bruised LOTS too. The surgeon mentioned that my tissue wasn't the greatest and bled a bit while he was working, but I'm not sure if he meant that's what caused it....? Interested to know if your surgeon mentioned anything??

@jc14 definitely ask and hopefully they will put your mind at ease. One side of mines more tender than the other as well and I think as I get different feeling back I feel different things aswell. I kept getting my husband to check my dressings over the last 2 days as I felt like I was bleeding 😳 Like there was a trickle or something on my nipple (BL aswell) - No blood though... it may just being able to feel different sensations again for you, I hope so! I have post op appt today too. Good luck. Will be thinking of you!
