yes, that's to be expected , and for starter's , the normal regime to follow.   As a normal practice you should be on it for 3 month.
My thoughts are with you , xo

Hi @cheetah, thanks for the reply! I’m 2wpo now! Saw Dr Cooter- subfascial anatomicals-345/390 to correct assymetry! Feel like they are a good size for my shape- I feel like it’s been corrective/restorative surgery. Should have done years ago!

Oh and both had a bit of capsular contracture.
I just got my first proper look an hour ago. The first thing I did in recovery was take a look and then keep sneaking looks. Then when I first got up for my first wee my surgical bra was put on so standing up I had only seen my boobs in the bra. They are perfect! I’m so pleased I just wish I wasn’t bloated so I had a flat tummy to go with my new boobs but my tummy will go down. While it was very sudden needing my revision in a hurry it went well, the pain has been managed well and I already love my results.

Oh Nic, they look better already! Lightening can’t strike twice so I’m sure you will have a smooth recovery this time around. Enjoy resting up if you can and looking forward to this all being behind you in a few weeks when you will be rocking that bikini at the beach! Xxx

So, thanks girls for your support. I had my surgery on Tuesday night 7.30pm. Dr Marie Rostek was the plastic surgeon who did my surgery as Tim Brown was overseas. I was the last person on surgery list late in the day which bothered me a little (because people are obviously tired etc) but after meeting her I felt like I was the first person she was seeing for the day. All of the support staff & nurses were truly amazing (at Belura Private Mornington) at a time when I was utterly devastated and vulnerable. They really cared. I had both implants removed, my right breast had a 60ml haematoma which had pooled under the nipple and my left breast had 15ml haematoma. Right breast implant was replaced with a fresh implant and my left was removed, cleaned out and replaced. So I'm back to square one with recovery but feel better this time. I was terrified my boobs would look like a dogs breakfast after second round of surgery so soon but this is not the case. They look amazing now and will hopefully continued to so so. This has been a massive setback for myself and especially my family who rely on my. I will be very interested to see how well I recover without complications. The blood clots were the reason I felt no improvement over 3 weeks after the 1st surgery, but it's hard to know what to expect when you're traveling down a new path.
I am still in hospital taking IV antibiotics and pain relief and will possibly go home tomorrow or Saturday.
I have attached a picture I took yesterday when dressings were removed. I am also wearing stretchy tubing to help keep things firm.
This is obviously not what I anticipated (apparently 1 in 20 BA/BL patients experience haematoma) but I am grateful and happy to have been in such wonderful hands to correct the problems.
Now I'll get busy (Not busy) healing! Hope you are all well xxx

Hang in there. It’s funny as we all feel we should bounce back quicker than we do as we are all pretty active people! Rest up while you can, as others have said, it’s still early and your surgery was significant. It took ages for my body to metabolise the drugs too. I looked pregnant for s solid 10 days! We are all so different in the end xx

Hey hun, it's perfectly normal to feel up and down and crappy and good, it's all part of the healing and recovery process I didn't have a lift and I'm sure that having both a lift and implants makes the recovery longer and more painful, so I do feel for you.

if you feel you need to lay down at the end of the day go with it - just listen to your body and rest when you need to. Two weeks is still very early days and I promise you it will get better. Take it easy, appreciate that your husband can take time to help with the kids and give yourself the time and space to recover. You have had really major surgery and it will take a bit longer for you to start to feel normal But it will happen. Take it one day at a time and be patient and kind to yourself. We are here to offer you support whenever you need it xoxo

Thanks.... PS said up to 3 months.... but I haven’t seen them move at all after 2 weeks of wearing that strap! From what I’ve read others have worn the strap for only 2 weeks and seen results.... I think I’m just a bit fed up with it and sick of sleeping on my back! I love love love my other one.... if my stubborn one can drop I’m going to be over the freakin moon!

I love boobs that are close together tho! I bet they look amazing!! Mine are quite close even tho one won’t bloody D&F!

Hey @I HaveBoobs I'm sure you GP/surgeon can check and reassure you. It doesn't sound like ALCL - the symptoms are different. I had a small hard lump a few years ago and went to my GP then a specialist, they did an ultrasound and a needle aspiration and it was a cyst. Let us know how you go xo

@margaretriver aww dw I keep getting same type of paranoia couple times I've over stretched to reach something and really hurt myself then panicking whether ive ruined something lol and couple times I got this weird slightly painful pop feeling in my breast like muscle snapping in place or something lol only happened a couple times not sure if it's normal or not i duno maybe is a spazam seems to happen when my chest tenses but not letting myself get overly concerned.. besides that I'm doing great the recovery is know where near as bad as I was expecting I'm already lifting my 12kg 11month old with no issues at all and I'm only just over 1 week po, but I don't make habit of doing it often only when I need too lol my 2 yr old I haven't been confident to lift yet but I probably could.. today is the first day I'm going to be completely on my own as my partner heads back to work and my 8 year old back to school so not sure how I'm going to go with putting them down to nap etc... my breasts are slowly softening they seem to feel alot softer when I bend down not sure why lol my breasts were very different too I think that's normal, from the moment I woke up from surgery my right side has been basically pain free, but my left was alot worse, now they both basically pain free only time I feel pain now is if I over stretch to do some thing and getting in and out of bed oh yes and after sleeping and getting up in morning which is what i think they refer to as morning boob lol..

I saw Dr Greensmith for breast augmentation back in September 2016.
From the first meeting with him I felt very comfortable. He answered my 100 questions with patience and I felt very reassured.
He exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be happier with my results.
I highly recommend him to anyone going for this surgery, you are in great hands. He is very experienced,  delivers brilliant results and is a pleasure to deal with.
This was life changing surgery for me and I feel more confident in my body than I ever have. ?

I consulted with Dr.Kollias and Dr.Cooter who both had very similar recommendations which made me feel better about sizing and profile of implants

@simply_me I’ve been juggling with this too. I feel they need more support so went tighter but it left indentations too! I think it’s mesnt to be firm but comfy. U might just want to loosen at night but firmer during day/active??

margaretriver got a reaction from MellieMoo in Adelaide - Dr Kollias - Subfascial/overs
Hi @MellieMoo! I didn’t go with Dr Kollias in the end but had a consult where he recommended overs to me too. The surgeon I did go with also recommended overs (just different implant type) but u had read as long as you have greater than 2cm of breast tissue, That’s sufficient to cover them. I had 3.5. Dr K didn’t measure me specifically, just did a pinch test. I’ve got overs - 2wpo and can’t see the outline. I think if u can have them u should, I really wanted to avoid breast animation, plus wanted a smoother recovery. Initially post op it’s not been great but overs will have you returning to your preop lifestyle quicker.

If you’re concerned you should get a second opinion. I was booked in with Dr K but cancelled after a second opinion but not due to anything he said or recommended. There are others that have used him on here and love him too and I think you will get great care and great outcome with him as equal to what any other reputable PS. He is also about $2k cheaper than PS I saw (dr cooter).

Good luck. Pm me of you have any qns! ?

@MellieMoo I just had surgery with Dr Kollias last week, I didn't get overs but I did get 450cc round dual plane and I am extremely happy with my results as are so many other girls that have used him, I understand your concern but i don't think you would be disappointed with him at all he really knows his stuff and I haven't came across anyone with a negative thing to say, he wouldnt recommend it if he didnt think he could give you amazing results. Just to ease any doubts you have get a second or even third opinion I think you will find the recommendations very similar if you see reputable surgoens, which will hopefully ease your nerves and if they are the same I'd definetly stick to Dr kollias not because he is cheaper but just because his work is truely amazing the lower price is just a bonus. I could not speak highly enough of him, when other girls said same thing i had my doubts and thought maybe they just overly excited but now ive done mine i can definetly say the same.. His price also includes a night stay in hospital where the staff are absolutely amazing, worth every dollar. A nurse there was telling me how she thinks Dr Kollias must be a real boob man as his work is always fantastic and how she had a niece who travelled to Sydney and paid 19k to get hers done and they are no where near as good as what Dr Kollias does.

@Glissmsounds like you are doing so well! I was sick/bloated gross for a full week. I feel good now that I’m back on treadmill walking it off and getting some increased movement each day. First day out today and nooone noticed although I think one guy was looking at them but I could be just paranoid! Supper cold her at the moment so I have heaps of layers on!!

thanks for letting me know about your sleeping instructions @Kit- will persist on bank but longer. Read forums and lots of different advice. As I’m sub facial I wonder if I need to be more careful until scar tissue forms to hold them in....

im back to work tmw, first client cancelled so least a slower start! Hopefully I’m not too exhausted or sore by the end of the day!!!

    sleep well! ?

margaretriver got a reaction from simply_me in Size of compression bra after surgery
This is interesting! I’m in some American compression bra- says 36d on it- nurse says too that don’t really worry about the size. Mine has 4 rows of hooks to bring in as swelling goes down. If anything I’m hoping mine go a bit smaller! My PS did warn me that it was a fine line between the size I probably wanted and “filling “ the envelope! I didnt want mine over-stuffed ?

Hi girls hope everyone is well, so I've just had my surgery and I'm feeling pretty good pain isn't to bad but probably cause of the meds it's uncomfortable but bearable, feeling like I got an elephant sitting on my chest lol feeling alot of pressure. Boobs are looking alot better then I expected on first day Dr Kollias is amazing. Can't wait to see results when swelling goes down and the drop and fluff takes place... Thanks to all girls on here for all the info and advice, helped make this a better experience..
