That sounds like a good idea, if your not feeling up to it then taking a little extra time off would be beneficial, best not to over do it so soon after surgery and remember when you do go back to work fully to take it easy for a good week and ease yourself in gently.

@I HaveBoobs yes it was more upper back pain. I’ve never had a pinched nerve so maybe that was it. I’ve never really been hurt before in terms of broken bone or sprained ankles so I didn’t realise my pain threshold was so low. I told my sister who has kids that I was never giving birth even though I love kids but once the pain subsided I was like hmm maybe I could handle it... ? the memories of the pain fades when there’s something to enjoy after. I’m loving my new boobies ?

Hey @CJ- if you have no luck with your GP you can buy  panadol Osteo over the counter from your pharmacist to hepl ease the pain a little. Your doctor dosn't sound very empathetic and i hope you were able to get some sort of pain relief,  the sleeping on your back thing can be very uncomfortable and down right painful at times but this will pass so just know its not for to much longer,  if its more upper back pain than lower back then you may have pinched a nerve between your shoulder blades,  you could also try a heat pack to help relieve the pain.

Hey @CJ- i took 3 weeks off my job as a hairdresser as it involves lots of time (all day in fact  ?) with my arms raised and lots of blowdrying , my first werk back i was a little sore and tender but every day got easier.  I also took 8 weeks off from my PT and Aerobic instructor job as you can imagine it is very physical,  i started back at the gym at 3 wpo with light cardio and at 1 mpo i started with some light bodyweight lower body exercises and by 6 wpo i had started lifting light weights with my upper body (all of which was cleared by my surgeon  first) Please listen to your body if you try to push/ lift something heavey at work and it dos'nt feel good then ask for help and wait a few more days before you try again.

Yeah @sabP that’s a great idea. I definitely feel more comfortable taking more time off to be on the safe side. Always better to be safe than sorry.

Hey @CJ - your GP sounds awful! It's not up to him to judge you or your pain levels. Maybe it's time to find a new GP. I hope you're starting to sleep better and feel better xo

Hey @CJ I returned to work at the 3 week mark, but my job does not include heavy lifting. Can you ask your manager to have lighter duties for a couple more weeks? You can say it's due to a short term medical condition. You can get your surgeon or gp to write a supportive med certificate without disclosing your BA xo

@Crystal_ that sounds exactly like me, my PS lowered one of mine too. That side still gives me a little pain now at 3weeks but my other side is no pain at all, hoping it settles soon ??

Had my first post op meeting with my ps yesterday. He said everything is looking on track. I really regret not begging him for painkillers. Panadol is doing nothing. I’m in so much constant pain under one boob at the incision site. He pulled that area down to try and even everything out. Beauty is pain and I know it will all be worth it. But right now I just keep crying from the pain.

Worth ever cent! I was so scared about it and had so many doubts and 'what if' moments. But after I came out of surgery I knew it was the best decision I have ever made. Dr Sam Cunneen in Perth did a fantastic job! I had an idea of what my BA would turn out like, but I never imagined they would be as perfect as they are now <3 Easy recovery, no nerve pain or numbness, no franken boob or boobs sitting to high straight out of the op, just a pair of epic tatas

Thanks so good surgery went well @MellieMoo! They feel so high up at first haha I can’t wait to see the progress and D&F
@Crystal_ I agree sleeping up right was probably the hardest part but I’m almost three weeks and already able to sleep on my side which is so much better!

@MellieMoo so happy for you! Yes, I agree can’t wait for shopping! I’ve started taking less of the strong pain killers but really struggling to sleep sitting up. I can’t wait to hear everyone’s progress as I don’t know anyone personally who has done this.

Good morning October buddies, or should I say October boobies lol ?
So finally had my surgery on Saturday! All went really well ? Had a compression bra fitted (36D) and feeling a lot of pressure on the chest which I'm sure is to be expected. Taking panadol for the pain but wishing I took them up on the offer of stronger meds now I'm home as having trouble sleeping on my back and not resting as much as I probably should. Overall I'm pretty impressed as I thought I would be in much more pain and limited as to what I can do. Dr Kollias was AMAZING and the service and care from staff at St Andrews hospital was incredible ?
I'm only at Day 2 but very happy so far with my results, can't wait for the D & F as my boobs feel like they are currently sitting near my throat lol ?
So happy to hear your surgery has gone well @DDaa and @Crystal_look forward to hearing your progress along the way. I think the first few weeks will be the hardest but can't wait for the 6week home run and look forward to shopping and trying on new bras and bikinis ??

@DDaa thank you! I’m all done. Was feeling so great but since I’ve gotten home I’ve been in so much pain. Can only take short breaths and every few minutes my body seems to panic and attempts a deep breath. Did you find it hard to walk around? Really hoping this passes soon.
@MellieMoo aww happy birthday for yesterday and all the best for today! What a wonderful gift you are giving yourself!
    I’m in Sydney.

@Crystal_ I was able to walk around pretty easy the first day, just had to remind myself to take it easy. But I did have trouble taking deep breaths for the first day or so but it gets easier.
Hope your pain settles and you feel better soon!

Well surgery is all done! It went well no issues, minimal pain post op just more a feeling of tightness. Struggled to sleep the first night on my back but hope that will get easier with time.
I’ve been moving around day two pretty well, taken a few small gentle walks. Size feels so big but I think it’s because I’m used to so little haha and they’re probably a bit swollen at the moment. Can’t wait for the drop and fluff process!
