On 12th April 2010 I had a BA performed by Dr Sorawuth at Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok. About 3 weeks after the BA surgery was performed, I developed a complication in one of the incision sites. I went to the local hospital (RPA luckily) and was seen by specialists which led to me being admitted to hospital and put on intravenous antibiotics. After another few days it was decided to remove the implant and clean the area of the infection. Subsequently it was found that had an infection called Microbacterium Fortuitum (documented) I then went through a 6 month course of antibiotics, Ciprofloxacin & Cefoxtin. In a letter from the RPA Immunologist he states that there is a possibility the "source of the organism was environmental contamination during surgery". I have been in contact with Bumrungrad Hospital they are now not taking any responsibility. So Ladies, be careful when dealing with Bumrungrad Hospital, and don't expect any follow up care or empathy.
