  1. Clippers? What are you trying to do? If you’re doing an all over clipper cut or tidying up an existing undercut go for it. My hubby has wahl clippers that I bought from Shaver Shop. He shaves his own head and has for years. He did our 2 year old boys undercut as it was existing and had just grown out a bit. Apart from those cuts I would honestly leave it the hell alone and this is coming from someone who loves changing up their look and when I want something I want it now. I tried to put a turquoise colour through my bleached ends as I often do toner or fashion colours myself. Yeah it went emerald green and faded to a lovely shade of dishwater green. Luckily some salons near me are still open and I was able to have it fixed. Colour is easier to fix than a bad cut. Sorry if not what you wanted to hear.
  2. Hey glad to hear it went well. I know the unhappy feeling. My 10 year old implants were a great fit for a long time but unfortunately due to losing over 60kgs they ended up a full cup size smaller, I had excess skin as well as lateral displacement and slight double bubble of the left. Also cc. Then I ended up with double capsule allowing the left breast to fill with fluid. It was drained twice and still came back. The only option was replacing my implants quicker than what I had planned to. I’ve had 4 x surgeries and this is my 3rd set of implants. I absolutely love my results and I really hope you love yours too. Oh and I understand the not being able to sleep. I’ve been up since 3.40am thanks to my son. I could hear a toy singing so went to check on him and he was fast asleep with it in his arms. I went to take it away being worried all that sound would wake him but nope me taking the toy away woke him and he had a tantrum refusing to go back to bed. Happy healing. Rest up and look after yourself.
  3. I’m not an expert but to me it looks as if your left (when looking at your photo the one on the right) may have bottomed out. What does Eddy say? I’ve had 4 lots of breast surgeries now. First one terrible results and complications and the ps who did them denied anything was wrong telling me I looked great. My redo surgeon who is awesome did a full anchor lift with replacement of implants and change of placement from overs to partial unders. Unfortunately my left refused to drop and my right didn’t quite lift up enough. We went back in and did some adjustments and I got a 10 year run out of those implants. Unfortunately recently my left breast kept filling up with fluid which was drained out twice via ultrasound guided aspiration. The only option was to replace my implants sooner rather than wait (I was planning a revision anyway due to massive weight loss). I absolutely loved my old set and I love this new set even more. If Eddy has a plan for revision that you are comfortable with and if you are happy returning to him I would go see what he says before deciding if you want to go ahead with a revision. Sometimes things just don’t go to plan. It’s rare for an implant to not drop yet it happened to me 10 years ago with the left. It doesn’t necessarily mean surgeon error. If you are not happy with his plan for you then I would get a second or even third opinion. Sorry im half asleep and I’ve just reread your post about the surgical plan. Can a lift on one breast not be done at the same time to make the nipple position more symmetrical?
  4. Hi again MrsPeaches, I replied to your pm with a detailed summary of pregnancy, weight gain/loss and my experience. Also wanted to add because you have breastfed and your milk has likely dried up you likely do need to wait a certain amount of time before having surgery. It’s either 3 or 6 months after stopping breastfeeding from memory however every surgeon will have their own recommendations and rules.
  5. 360cc anatomical implants to 525cc uhp rounds. Corrected lateral displacement and cc
  6. I’m curious as to why cosmetic surgeons are responsible for such a high number of cases? If that was mentioned I’m half asleep I really didn’t sleep well and woke up super early. Very interesting.
  7. My wounds have formed scabs and are healing nicely. I’m so relieved.
  8. Omg. That’s not what I was told. Great. Yet another worry.
  9. The original hole from the spitting stitch is drying out trying to form a scab and the bigger one in the crease is improving but not quite there yet.
  10. I’m changing the dressing daily now as instructed with a fresh seaweed dressing.
  11. Yes. Everything looking good it should heal up in 2 weeks
  12. So yesterday morning I went to change my dressing where I have a small hole from the spitting stitch/staph/Acinetobacter baumannii infections and was shocked to see my crease incision on that breast had opened up by about 2cm long. I had my surgeon paged who phoned me and I sent him a photo. He said it didn’t look infected keep dressing it and he will see me Monday. Slightly freaking out. Hopefully he will pop more stitches in or steri strips, I don’t know what happens next. Update you all tomorrow.
  13. My surgeon saw me today along with his nurse and they were both happy with how I’m looking. Keep on top of taking my antibiotics and a follow up in another week. Basically because I had a spitting stitch (dissolvable) the bacteria was able to get in.
  14. I’ve been back to the walk in clinic and still have a temperature. I’ve been prescribed even more antibiotics.
  15. It’s underneath the actual incision and it’s not too long. Maybe the length of a grain of raw rice. I should have stayed off google. I googled because I’ve never heard of Acinetobacter baumannii and I’ve read that plus staph are superbugs resistant to many antibiotics. I’m so glad that I called health direct for advice who told me to go see a gp immediately.
  16. I have a small hole underneath my crease incision and a swab test confirmed staphylococcus aureus and Acinetobacter baumannii infections. I’m on my second course of antibiotics but I’m feeling a bit freaked out. The hole still hasn’t scabbed over, I’m not sure how long it’s supposed to take. I see my surgeon and his nurse again Monday.
  17. Funny I’ve just read the recommendations on sports bras. I went bra shopping and bought 2 x sexy lacy wirefree bras (I can’t believe sexy wirefree exists!). I tried on the Berlei sports bra (unsure which exact one) and it was incredible. I jumped up and down in the fitting room and my boobs didn’t go anywhere. Unfortunately it does have underwire in it and until I see my surgeon in January I’m not allowed to wear wired bras but once I’m cleared I will be buying it. I got 2 x Lorna Jane high neck bras which I wear over a crop. Fairly supportive for the treadmill, etc but looks like I’m not going to be running until mid January. Also if you are in Perth I highly recommend Hidden Lace in Subiaco. Yes a lot of the stuff is expensive $90 bras but the ones I chose were on sale for $39.95 each. They are very good at fitting. One of the bras I tried was not sitting in between my cleavage but on top of it. My fitter straight out said it wasn’t a good fit. They also sell post surgical bras for those who are pre op. That’s where I got mine.
  18. Please do not lift your little one if your post op instructions say not to. I have been doing nappy changes on the floor. At bath time my 6 year old carefully lifts her nearly 2 year old brother in and then out of the bath. For nap time could you get one of those kids fold out sofas? My boy is in a toddler bed as he was climbing out of his cot a few months ago and we were scared he could hurt himself. My instructions were nothing over 2kgs for 6 weeks. I’m 3.5 weeks post revision. I will be honest I have lifted my 12.5kg son when I’ve had no choice. We were alone and he climbs in and out of his car seat but he fell asleep and he was having trouble waking I tried but he was just too tired. Apart from that I’ve followed the rules. I’m not sure how old your kids are but is the older one able to help?
  19. My children are 6 and nearly 2. The 6 year old I was fairly honest with. I had problems with my left breast filling with fluid around the implant so had to have it drained twice before replacing my implants. I told her I had to have needles in my boob and was sore. Then I told her I was going to hospital for an operation as there was an overnight stay for me. I told her that the special doctor who is called a surgeon was going to do surgery because my boob was sore and he would make it all better. Post surgery I explained that he operated on both boobs (she saw the dressings on my crease incisions as we aren’t a modest household and my first shower she walked in to start chatting to me). I don’t know if she realises they look different or not. I did ask if she had any questions but she didn’t. Once the hypafix dressing came off she wanted to see where my incisions were (they were pretty much healed just tiny bits of scab in a couple of places). My nearly 2 year old is a real boob boy. The first time he saw me topless post revision he started pointing at my boobs babbling and I told him they were ow. He repeated the word ow then he started smiling at them.
  20. You should have luck at Bras n Things with wirefree bras. Unfortunately I think I will end up a 10F or 10G as I was a 10E with my old implants. Bras n Things just don’t stock anything wirefree in F or G cup as I asked. I’m going to a specialist lingerie store. I’m after sports bras as I’ve just joined the gym (but not doing upper body yet). I have an appointment Friday to be fitted.
  21. This was my other inspiration pic. We went with this look as felt it would suit my hair type better as well as how I wanted to style it. The only difference is we went shorter through the top.
  22. I went with a very similar pixie cut. The above pic is fully shaved and I was worried the top getting shaved to a number 8 wouldn’t style like the photo due to my hair type. My hair is very close cropped. The sides and underneath are faded from a number 1 to a 2. Then the rest of the sides are cut short blending down and the top was cut very short with scissors. I’m excited to have a play around with it today. I have very thick hair so this sits so much nicer.
  23. I’ve been growing out my pixie cut and it’s now naturally wavy (still a pixie cut just longer and no more undercut). I saw some photos of my shorter haircut and now I’ve got the urge to chop it all off again. This photo is my inspiration. I’ve not had the top and fringe quite this short before but have had my undercut as a zero so shaved sides and back isn’t new to me. Would love to know what you think of the cut? Pros - easy to style and no bed hair as it’s so short. No fighting my wavy hair as when it’s this short a bit of wax and it sits nicely. I like the style. Cons - have been trying to grow my hair. Hubby not a fan of any style above the shoulders. My appointment is coming up in about 4 hours so I need to decide on a style.
