  1. Hi Panda, have you you read any of my threads? I had 10 year old textured anatomical implants pain and swelling in left. Fluid was drained out twice and came back negative. I just had my implants replaced Tuesday to rounds. My surgeon wrote me an ultrasound referral without seeing me. If your surgeon won’t I’m sure your gp would be happy to write one and then depending on your results refer you either back to your original surgeon or to another. I had a little bit of capsular contracture in both breast as well as double capsule in both. My left had also rotated inwards.
  2. Oh and both had a bit of capsular contracture. I just got my first proper look an hour ago. The first thing I did in recovery was take a look and then keep sneaking looks. Then when I first got up for my first wee my surgical bra was put on so standing up I had only seen my boobs in the bra. They are perfect! I’m so pleased I just wish I wasn’t bloated so I had a flat tummy to go with my new boobs but my tummy will go down. While it was very sudden needing my revision in a hurry it went well, the pain has been managed well and I already love my results.
  3. I’ve been seen by my surgeon. I have 525cc round implants. The 470cc didn’t fill out my excess skin from my massive weight loss. Both implants had double capsule, the left had 20ml of fluid around the implant and had rotated inwards. I love what I can see so far, in fact the first thing I did in recovery was sneak a peak.
  4. My revision was last night just after 5pm ish. The only real pain is from the drains but it’s not too bad. I like what I see although it’s hard to tell with the swelling and I’m now in a surgical bra. I’m dying to know how many ccs I have!
  5. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Lumps are always a worry. I can’t answer your question as I have no idea.
  6. Booked in for Tuesday the 17th September for the replacement of my implants.
  7. I’ve been pushed through to have the fluid drained Monday morning. Sometime Monday I will receive a day for next week for removal and replacement. This is happening very quickly but what can you do. It needs to be done.
  8. I sent through my photos to the rooms by email and I will call them after 9am. I hope they can book me in for surgery. I don’t feel I can wait until Wednesday for the aspiration especially with it being the weekend tomorrow.
  9. Thank you for sharing @TheFox Im even more swollen today so I’ve emailed the rooms again. I will ring after 9am. I’m so worried. I’m booked in for aspiration of the fluid Wednesday but don’t think I can wait that long.
  10. Could be double capsule. Could be because I had to force open the laundry door when I got trapped in there. I just don’t understand why the fluid came back again
  11. Same breast swollen and full of fluid again. Why is this happening again?
  12. I was planning removal and replacement anyway but now regardless of outcome I want it done asap.
  13. Thanks. I have the textured implants that have been recalled.
  14. I found 2 lumps in my right breast which turned out to be lymph nodes however I had significant swelling of my left breast and 175ml of fluid was drained. I’m currently waiting on my results to see if it’s breast implant assosicated anaplastic large cell lymphoma. This is the longest wait ever and I’m barely holding it together. I have 10 year old textured implants.
  15. I know you posted a few days ago but just wanted to say the sleeping propped up on pillows is to help reduce the swelling. That’s what I was told. It encourages the swelling to move down the body or something.
  16. Good question. I’m not 100% sure so don’t want to say the wrong thing. Best to check with your surgeon.
  17. Sure will. I meet Dr Love in just over 3 weeks time then I can look at booking in a date for surgery! So excited.
  18. I had my consult with Dr Connell yesterday who was my revision surgeon 10 years ago. He confirmed what I have been suspecting and that’s that I have lateral displacement but he threw me for a loop when he told me I had double bubble. He has suggested Areola reduction, scar revision to stepladder and vertical scar and replace 360cc teardrop implants to 380 or 450cc rounds. Best part is private health insurance will cover everything including his fees as he is only charging me the scheduled fee. He truly is an amazing man and surgeon. My revision will only cost me $500 which is my hospital excess. Next month I meet with his colleague Dr Love to discuss 360 body lift, thigh and arm reduction (excess skin not fat). I will be having my boobs done this year and if financially possible my thighs at the same time. Then next year the 360 body lift and arms.
  19. Thank you @Moderator this is another reason I'm also confused. Sometimes I can pick whether a woman has rounds or anatomicals but then other times I either get it wrong or genuinely can't decide. Think I will just show my surgeon goal pics and see what he says.
  20. With anatomical implants which is what I currently have when lying down they spread apart a bit however they still stay standing up if that makes sense projection wise. If I was to switch to textured rounds would these also do the same since the textured adheres to the muscles and breast tissue? Or do they flatten out as they aren't quite as cohesive I found when I examined them years ago in a consult? Having a really hard time deciding which implants would suit me better and the look I'd like to achieve. I like a rounded shape but not completely bolted on looking (please don't take offence I like all boobs but it's just not the look for me). I like when the cleavage area and upper pole is rounded However side on topless there's a slight sloped look. Sorry if I'm not explaining myself too well. I just feel my surgeon who did my revision and who I have an upcoming consult with will try to recommend anatomicals again as they are his preference and in a year he said he had only inserted 3 sets of round implants as it was the patient requests. Trying to be as informed as possible with the differences between the 2 types of implants.

  22. My redo surgeon sent me a referral to have an ultrasound done but I've just not had the time or money to go. I've read elsewhere that MRIs can give false positive results for rupture. I did have an ultrasound on both boobs going back a few years as I was getting some weird pain but apart from showing a lump in my breast there was nothing wrong with my implants. I chose to have a biopsy (fine needle aspiration) done on the lump to be safe and luckily the lump was benign.
  23. So today I made my goal weight! 55.1kgs so 100 grams off. Total loss of 63kgs which is an entire person. Just wanted to share as I'm so happy and proud of myself.
