  1. This month i'll be having a septorhinoplasty with Mr Andrew Greensmith. It's the third surgery on my nose - I was unhappy with the last surgery about 11 years ago with Dr Robert Reed, so I went back, only to find he'd retired. He was replaced with an ENT who said he wouldn't touch my nose, too much scar tissue. I thought it was all over for my nose, and i'd just have to accept it. It wasn't easy as my nose looks really out of shape. Then a couple of months ago, something re-triggered a search for the best revision rhinoplasty surgeon I could find. After reading stories about complex revisions being successfully done, hope started a blazing fire!!! I met with Mr Greensmith and felt totally confident and reassured that a great result was possible. I don't need a perfect nose, I want normal. Mr Greensmith said it'd be a complex surgery of 3.5-4 hours fixing every aspect of my nose. I'll likely need a rib graft but he'll wait to see what he finds when he opens it all up. I'll share my journey on this forum as it's been a massive reassurance for me - so many amazing stories about Dr Greensmith. I was quoted just under $16k for the septorhinoplasty and $2600 for the anaesthetist. I have private health cover so just the $500 excess for that. My consult was $300 (no GST) due to medical reasons. Expensive, but I feel it'll be worth every cent after what i've been through and what my nose looks like. I might post pictures soon.
  2. Hi... I really want to book in my rhino surgery but really scared of picking a surgeon... So i have so far seen 2 surgeons Andrew Greensmith and Tony Holmes was impressed with both but Tony Holmes has a lot more experienced but having difficulties finding feedback on this site about him planning to go see Dr Southwick for a consultation before i make my final decision. Anyone have any opinions or feedback for me would greatly appreciate it!!!
  3. Hi ladies, I'm looking at booking a consulation at yourbreast but I'm not sure which surgeon to book with. I'm going between Andrew Greensmith, Damen Thomas and Edmund Ek. Also looking at Kim Taylor from Re.Plastic Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Many Thanks
  4. Hi, I'm booking my surgery with Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery for 29th June. I was originally with TCI Bondi but decided to switch after doing more research. The only thing is, i cant seem to find any before & afters or reviews on the surgeons at the Melbourne Institute? I need to pick a surgeon but I don't really have much to go from? Any help would be great! Thanks so much, xoxo
  5. Hi! I had septoplasty in 2012 and had a revision this year. My nose is still crooked and points to the left but the whole left side of my face sits higher. I don't think the bone is crooked, but the left nostril sits higher, making it look crooked. Could I get injections in the left side to "relax" my face? I would also like to get the top lip done as it's lost a lot of it's fullness. Can you recommend anyone in Melb that won't cost an arm and a leg? Also wondering if I can get steroid injections in the left side of my nose as there seems to be quite a bit of scar tissue... Does anyone know if Greensmith does all this? Thanks
  6. Hi everyone, I have recently undergone a breast augmentation in Thailand and am looking for a doctor to correct some errors, I have had a consultation with Doctor Andrew Greensmith from the Melbourne institute of plastic surgery however i can't find any reviews on him in regards to breast augmentations and revisions, only on nose jobs ect. Is anyone able to shed some light? Im unsure of going to a doctor that i haven't heard any reviews on.
  7. Hi Everyone, I have been reading all of these forums and gathered A LOT of information in my research for my own rhinoplasty. Everyone really has great advice so I am hoping you can help me with some specifics. At the moment I am looking to book a first consultation with a couple of surgeons. Dr Andrew Greensmith - I've seen nothing but great reviews. I am a little worried I won't be able to afford him so am also looking into both Dr Robert Thomas and Dr Perry Burstin. I have read lots on Dr Greensmith but not so much on Dr Robert Thomas and Dr Perry Burstin. I understand they are both ENT surgeons rather than Plastic Surgeons which is why they are considerably cheaper. From what I've read so far Greensmith (10K - 15K) and Thomas/Burstin (5K) Has anyone gone through surgery with either of them? I am looking to narrow my nose considerable on the front profile and reduce a hump on the side profile. Any information, thoughts and feedback would be lovely. Thank you Blake :-)
  8. I have an appointment with Andrew greensmith I see he is a good nose surgeon from these forums but how is he at face lifts ? Has anyone had a face lift with Andrew Greensmith? I was hoping to get both procedures done at once.
