  1. I've been contemplating having a BA for a few years now, especially after losing weight and seeing my breasts slightly sag. I don't think I need a full lift since I had small boobs to begin with, I only want to move my nipples upwards and a bit over, and then adding implants to round out the shape and give me fullness. Has anyone else had a procedure like this where it's just a nipple lift and implants, not a full lift, and in Australia. I live in Melbourne but wouldn't mind traveling too much if it means the best results and prices that aren't outrageous.
  2. I have narrowed down my search for a rhinoplasty ENT surgeon to Dr George Marcells and Dr Shahram Shahidi. Does anyone have any information on who will be best? Marcells seems to post less before and after photos, perhaps because he has a solid client base who pay good money and this he respects their privacy. Shahidi on the other hand seems to post lots of before and afters (perhaps offers patient discounts?), which I don’t see as a bad thing but it does make me wonder. I like his work however, but surgeons naturally only post their successes. I did see some people saying to question anyone calling themselves a ‘Master of Rhinoplasty’ (Marcells), however he does seem to have the most experience in Australia. He is apparently a high volume surgeon and not too many reviews can be found online, which leads me to believe most of his patients are happy and go on their merry way. Any thoughts on these Sydney surgeons?
  3. Hi y'all! I'm a 23 year old female from a south-east Asian background. I had my first double eyelid surgery operation when I was 17 by Dr Andrew Kim in Melbourne, Australia. My initial operation and the subsequent revision surgeries that he preformed were totally botched and I've been left with asymmetry and a deformed fold on my left eye (please refer to the attached photo). After years of hating my appearance, regretting my decision to ever have the surgery, and completely losing all trust in surgeons, I have finally found the courage to look into possibly undergoing revision surgery. I was just wondering whether anyone in Australia could recommend an experienced plastic surgeon to me who specialises in double eyelid surgery (also known as asian blepharoplasty). I'm specifically looking for a plastic surgeon, not a cosmetic surgeon (like Dr. Andrew Kim). I'm based in Melbourne, but would be willing to travel interstate for a more experienced and respectable doctor. Please let me know if you or someone you know has any recommendations for me.
  4. Hi everyone! I’m looking to have a hair line reduction and the only place I have found in Perth is Dr Martinick but I was wanting opinions about surgeons all over Australia and any advice if you have had one! Thanks
  5. Whilst this doctor advertises rhinoplasties, he is an ENT. He introduced me to one of his post op clients during my consultation to prove that enlarging a nose instead of refining it creates a better outcome. Well unfortunately it proved the opposite and I would definitely keep your $240 consultation fee and save your money for actual plastic surgeons unless you intend to thicken up and enlarge your nose, not to mention also be ridiculed by the rude reception staff, who freely interject their opinions on what should be done. Easily the strangest consultation I have ever had. I will be consulting with only plastic surgeons from now on!
  6. I am currently researching Rhinoplasty surgeons and I'd like to find the best in Australia. Most seem to have mostly good reviews and then a few bad ones. I'd like to go to someone who can give me a good result both aesthetically as well as functional. Im considering Dr Shahidi. Has anyone had surgery with Dr Shahidi and can tell me about their results with him?
  7. Hello, I see alot of people asking about Dr William Mooney both here and abroad. I have booked in my surgery with Dr Mooney and the procedure will take place in two weeks. I plan on updating this thread with my experiences and results in an effort to help other people make a more informed decision. Bit of background; I am a male who lives in Sydney. I initially saw Dr William Mooney in 2014 (two years ago!) at his Bondi clinic. Bit of a mission to find as the Westfield is confusing but once inside greeted by friendly staff and a very nice view of the city. Dr Mooney is a lovely man- very friendly, the initial consultation was a few hundred dollars which included a range of breathing tests, a camera up the nostrils and a discussion about what my expectations were. I walked out of the clinic with a USB of the imaging we created together and a quote for the surgery. Two years went by. LOL.-- why? work, life, me thinking it was just a phase i'd get over... Fast forward two years; August 2016. I went in and saw dr mooney and booked the surgery. I decided to do it and not hesitate, wish I booked it in two years ago! So its all confirmed and paid for. Following procedures; - Rhinoplasty -Septoplasty and a few other items to help me breathe better. The outcome of my operation is both medical and cosmetic- I had a childhood injury which wonked my nose a bit, and I find it difficult to breathe there is always one blocked nostril. I had my 'pre-op' appointment today (two weeks until surgery) with one of the nurses. Went over the pre and post-operative pack which includes a range of prescriptions, nasal sprays and vitamins- some of which I have to start taking one week before surgery. The nurse outlined all the Do's and Don'ts leading upto and after the surgery and was given all the instructions on paper so I don't forget. There is also an after hours mobile number that I can call if i have questions or concerns after the surgery. Also saw Dr Mooney who answered any final questions or concerns. My next post will be from the hospital in two weeks! I'm going to St Lukes Care at Potts Point. A nice private hospital and is one of my health funds 'Members First' hospital- so better cover.

    Dr Chinsee or Dr Szalay?

I went for a consult last year with Dr Ali Hussain but was not happy with my rushed consult and have since not got my mind off getting a BA! Has anyone gone with Dr Chinsee or Dr Szalay in Brisbane and can share pics/experiences?
  9. Hi all. I'm wanting to get a breast augmentation but have no idea where to start. I've enquired at cosmeditour au. Has anyine had theirs done through them? Pros cons good surgeons? 10. Hi everyone! First post here... Just a bit of background on me, I am so indecisive when I have options and even after hours of research on rhinoplasty I can't come to a conclusion on whether to travel Thailand or stay locally for the surgery. I guess what I am really weighing up is cost for service. There are obviously shocking surgeons in any country, except in Australia they seem to be shocking and still expensive! Has anyone here had experience with getting rhinoplasty in Thailand or even both Thailand and Australia? How much was the price difference really? If you had been to Thailand, where did you go, what surgeon and did you go through an agency like cosmeditours etc.? I would actually prefer to book my own travel and accommodation but not sure if any of these agencies let you do that? What was your post-op care like and how is your recovery? I have heard the whole service experience over there is a million times better than here... true? Anyone know of a surgeon who has heaps of before & after photos in Thailand? Thank you all!
  11. Hi all hoping you can help with some advise! I am struggling to reach a decision on whether to get rhino surgery with dr montein in Bangkok (world medical centre) with cosmeditour, or, stay in Sydney and have rhino with dr Jeremy hunt who seems to be well accredited. Costs associated are actually not horrendously different, CosMediTour's all up including flights will be around $10k, whilst Sydney is looking closer to $16k. My main concern is post op care and follow ups which it doesn't seem you can get if I go through cosmeditour. has anybody done either and can help with their expierence, if it turned out ok? thanks so much!
  12. Hi all! I'm currently after a filler/Botox injector. I want Botox around my eyes, and fillers for my cheek and lips. I'm after a very, very natural result. I want the best, don't care about cost, and want a Dr with credentials, i.e, facial plastic surgeon, cosmetic dermatologist, etc. (NO laser clinics/nurses) Dr Van Park has a good reputation, but there is a 6 month wait and I would hate to wait that long only to discover it's just hype. Please share your experiences, advice, and opinions. Thank you!
  13. i wish to have my nasal tip reshaped because it looks like i have a button nose. I would have wanted something smaller or finer, and i know how delicate the procedure is, so i want to make sure that i have it done by the right surgeon..can anyone advise me on someone who might be able to do the job here in sydney?

Are you happy with your size??

Here is a question for all those post-op girls- do you wish that you had gone bigger or smaller? I'm curious to see how common it is to wish that we had gone that one size bigger because it seems to be the most common complaint, but wanted to put it to a poll.

    Melbourne surgeons- Price & experience

I am looking to go for a revision and am looking for some Melbourne surgeons and was wondering if everyone who has had surgery in Melbourne would like to write the price they paid (if you have a break down that would be great as i dont have to pay for any hospital fees or implants they're covered by health insurance just need to pay surgeons fee and anesthetist). These are the surgeons i am looking at: Mark Ashton Hamish Farrow (have done a search and both come highly recommended) Craig Rubenstein (refuses to see girls who have had previous surgery in Thailand) Any other recomendations- I want to go to as many consults as possible because i want to get it right this time round. Please note i have done a search but none of the threads seem to contain much info. I have also emailed Dr Miroshnik and Dr Tavakoli to see if they will do online consults as im happy to fly to Sydney if need be.
  17. Hi all I am looking at getting these procedures done in Phuket early July. I have not researched Australian prices as I am fairly sure they are heaps more expensive than Phuket. I have researched the hospital and surgeons in Phuket and they all seem good however it would be easier and more comfortable to have it done in my my town being Canberra. Does anyone know how much these procedures cost on average in OZ both with and without a health fund. I don't want to wait 12mths with my fund even though I have been with them for 13 yrs I have to change the plan I am on which is another reason to go to Phuket. Any info would be appreciated.
  18. I was just about ready to pack my bag and head off to Thailand for BA but after many hours of research I just can't shake my nervousness about the lack of post op care. So I now find myself with a fairly low budget of approx $10,000 to get my new boobies here in oz. I can travel but I would really prefer to stay in melbourne if anyone on this site can recommend a surgeon. I would be really gateful for any feedback.

    BA in Thailand or Aus????

Hi ladies, I am on my way to Thailand for a consult and hopefully a BA!! I couldn't be more excited and all the forums I have read plus doing my own research for the past 6 years has prepared me enough to go ahead. BUT before I commit 100% to a BA in Bangkok, I was wondering whether anyone would recommend getting a BA done in Australia (Bris\Syd) Reading some posts on costs for BA's in Australia are making me wonder whether to wait and have surgery in my own backyard --- the cost for BA in Thailand is roughly $1000-$1800 in difference to a BA in Aus. I have always thought that I would get it done in Aus, but cost has always posed a problem, but since looking further into from the posts online, the difference doesn't seem that big of a deal. If your BA was done overseas, who do you turn to when there is a complication further down the track? Do any doctors in Thailand have a specialist that you can visit in Australia if you have any concerns later down the track? I arrive in Singapore this Sunday morning then fly to Bangkok the following day I am looking at tear drop, brazilians 300CC. Il post pics and my wee story after (if I go ahead with it in Bangkok) online : )
  20. Hello all, i'm trying to gather as much information and have as many consults with the right people as possible! I am trying to estimate how much money i'll need saved (I do not have private health insurance) to start saving and getting on track! I realise this is a very serious financial commitment and do not want to skimp, however I would like a ballpark range to help inform me. If anyone could either post or PM privately this to me it would make me a very happy & well informed girl! Surgeon: Time taken in surgery: Surgeon's fee: Anesthetist fee: Hospital location/fee: and also any other details you feel might be helpful to me, i'm so excited <3
