  2. I'd like to introduce myself as the Managing Director of 'Global Health Travel' so that everyone is aware of who I am and so that I do not breach any forum rules. This is my first post on the Plastic Surgery Forum. I'm not here to sell anything, I am here to diffuse the rumours about this presumed*'Battle' between Global Health Travel (GHT) and Bangkok Makeovers (BM). I personally think of a forum as a medium for honest and open discussion about a subject of public interest, and I applaud everyone here whether posting or just viewing; for your commitment to diligent research prior to going overseas.*I became aware of the recent topic 'Global Health Travel vs Bangkok Makeovers' via some past and present GHT clients who frequent the forum. I hope to clear up some of the confusion caused by this thread and hope that you will view my input here as an honest representation and not as some kind of sales pitch.

 Firstly, I would like to point out that I know 'Rachel' of Bangkok Makeovers; not only is she a competitor but she is also a friend and I can assure you that there is no 'battle' going on between us. We have a lot in common stemming from our shared passion for this industry that we are both very privileged to be a part of. We are both 'facilitators', which means we help people to make well-informed decisions about travelling overseas for surgery; whilst ensuring that their safety and positive health outcomes remain the very highest priority.*Rachel offers a wonderful personalised service and I have the utmost respect for her and her mission...as I believe her mission echoes my own. Rachel and I didn't get into this industry because we wanted to 'make a quick buck'; we identified the need for a service that offered patient case management as well as ongoing support...and that means before, during AND after surgery. Both Rachel and I can offer this via the services of our respective companies. We are both 'on the ground' (living in) Bangkok and routinely deal with the challenges ladies find themselves presented with throughout this process. The questions, fears, hesitations and expectations leading up to surgery, and then of course the pain thresholds, emotional support and there are sometimes even more questions to answer during post-op recovery! It's hard work to say the least, but we both do it with heartfelt concern for those who (have done their research and) have ultimately made the decision to put their faith and trust in us....GHT or BM the mission remains the same! You as the 'consumers' have the right to shop around and find the service and price that's right for you and this is where platforms such as this forum are invaluable!
