  1. Hey ladies! Anyone heading to Bangkok for any surgery? Im heading over by myself & would like to catch up with people if the timing works out. Im heading over approx July 3 for 2 weeks
  2. Hi I'm now nearly 4 weeks post op and feeling great and finally got around to writing up my story for anyone that is interested. I was always very flat chested and this bothered me tremendously and in 2013 I decided to do something about it. I started doing my research and did some checks and then in April 2014 I contacted an agency about having breast augmentation. They helped me answering my questions and put me in contact with the International Coordinator at Bangpakok9 International Hospital in Bangkok. We emailed back and forth for weeks getting photos and a online consult and recommendation and booking of flights and accommodation until eventually in June it was done and dusted and everything was ready. Now I just had to wait 3 months and fly out. Those 3 months flew by with me reading forums and looking at boobs nearly 24/7 and before I knew it I was in Thailand being met at the airport by a representative from the hospital where I was taken to the BPK9 Residence to get settled. Day Before. Med Checks. I had to fast from midnight till 8am so i ate dinner early had a cup of cocoa at about 10pm the previous night. The coordinator called me at 8am and we went around to various departments in the hospital getting it all done. I had blood drawn for a batch of tests including hepatitis a/b and HIV. Then it was a chest x-ray and a blood pressure check. The machine finally found my pulse on 3rd try and finished with a EKG/ECG to check for heart problems. Was done by 9:15. Took 90 minutes, they called me to say results were done and I was to meet the cardiologist. He asked some questions, rechecked pulse and breathing and said I was cleared for surgery. YAY! Consult Day. I had my consult with my PS at 9:30 in the morning where I met him in person for the first time. He's a wonderful man, very pleasant and funny. Totally made me feel at ease. We talked about what result I wanted and then he measured my bwd and first said 14.5 so he suggested 500cc up from the 350-425cc originally. Then we tried them on in a bra with different sizes and he gave me a 550 to try and I loved the look of it so then he started drawing on me in blue permanent marker and stopped when he got to my lefty and re-measured and came to a bwd of 16. OMG!! I have a slight asymmetry with lefty being bigger which he says will still be there after. but not really noticeable. But with the bigger bwd we now decided to go with moderate 600cc's!!! Mentor didn’t have any that size in stock so he changed it to Silimed round textured ones. We talked about precautions and possible complications and what to expect post op and I asked all the questions I had prepared. Then I collected all my things from my room and the coordinator Yasinah took me to go pay at the cashier. Because of the bigger implants the cost went up to 160000THB but I put it through on my visa card as I was expecting to pay a bit more. Then the ward nurse came to get me and I was taken to the hospital room and given a slightly too short pink gown to wear haha that left my butt hanging out. I had my BP taken again and temp 137/84 all normal and the nurse gave me a tri ball respiratory exerciser to practise on to help with the breathing. I have to do it a few times before and every 2 hours after surgery. First time I've heard of this. I was also shown how to do some slight arm exercises for post op. I had to wash up with anti bacterial soap and wash lightly so it doesn't rub the marker off. Then i just waited to be called Finished last shower and the nurse came in and put an IV in with saline and dextrose I think. Male nurse came in at around 5pm with a gurney to take me to surgery. I hopped up on the gurney and was told to lie back. I was feeling a little nervous being wheeled through the hospital but a few minutes later I was in the prep room. The anaesthetist, Dr Sampan spoke to me, asked a few questions and a nurse took my BP again. Then they left me to wait. 5 minutes later they pulled aside the curtains and pushed me into the operating room. There were 3 or 4 nurses and the anaesthetist busy prepping everything. I got strapped down to the operating table and remember looking over and seeing Dr Sampan injecting something into my iv. That was the last I remember. When I woke up, I was in recovery and feeling a tightness in my chest and a bit groggy from the general anaesthetic. I vaguely remember looking up at a clock and seeing it was somewhere around 7pm. They moved me to a gurney and wheeled me back to my room in the plastic surgery ward. OMG, being moved hurt so much. its the only thing I remember from that time as I was really out of it. I was settled in the bed and soon drifted off to sleep in spite of the tightness. Thankfully there was no nausea. Day 1. The first night was difficult, I had a morphine drip and a dextrose drip in that the nurses came in every hour to check. Moving in any way was uncomfortable but not really painful. I had drains inserted during surgery and these were in a canvas bag tied to the rails of the bed. I had to get up in the very early morning around 2am to go to the toilet and struggled but managed to get there and back on my own without any problems. The end of day 1 Dr Pornthep came to see me and checked the dressings. He explained what was going to happen next and said he would remove the drains the next day. He also said, he found some Mentors in the 600cc size and put in Mod+ implants. Woohoo. Just what I was hoping for. Day 2. the pain and tightness was a lot better, the nurses were still checking on me every 1-2 hours. The nurses helped me to the toilet for the 2nd pee although it wasn't really necessary but nice to have them there. I had to walk around pushing my IV with me everywhere I went. Dr Pornthep came back late afternoon and changed the dressings again and said it looked good, the colour of the fluid was not showing any thick red blood but there was still a little fluid coming out so the drains would stay another day. Trying to use my arms to sit up or move pulled my pec muscles and hurt a lot. Worked out how to shimmy my butt to move up and down. Started taking some laxatives to try ease the bloating that had started but no joy yet. During the night the last dextrose iv finished (#5)and the nurse removed the tubing but left the needle in my hand. just stoppered and taped back. Day 3. Woke up with lots of morning boob. Managed to sleep a bit better. Pain was very manageable. I was able to move around and do things easily and felt much better and not as tired as on day 2. Finally managed to have a poop and the bloating eased considerably. Late afternoon Dr Pornthep came back again to finally remove the drains and was very happy with the colour and amount of fluid. I was surprised when he pulled out the drain tubes, the part inside felt so long. Then he recovered the incisions and drain holes with waterproof dressings and said I was to see him again the following Sunday (day 8) for a check-up and to get the stitches out. I got all my things packed up and waited to be discharged and to get my antibiotics and painkillers and for the nurses to help me back to my room in the BPK9 residence. I then got to have my first post op shower(Yay!). Day 4. I felt fairly good. Woke up with more morning boob but not as bad as day 3. It had started raining outside and things looked windy outside and I didn’t really feel much like doing anything so spent the day in my room watching movies. I set my alarm on my phone to remind me when to take the Tylenol painkillers and the Arcoxia and Augmentin antibiotics. I was also given some antiseptic ointment to put on the incisions after I shower. I also finally got fitted for a post op bra and got 2 so I had a spare. Day 5. Had a really good sleep for the first time in days. Woke up with some morning boob but it faded after a few minutes. Energy was good and I decided to get out to the shops. I took a taxi to Central shopping centre about 10 minutes away and walked all over the centre for 4 hours, ordered a venti latte (my fav) from Starbucks, picked up a few crop tops and shirts from Cotton On, stopped at Pizza Hut for lunch. I had a great time and it felt so good to get out and do something but about 2 hours into my trip I started getting sharp stabbing pains in my right boob that eventually I had to sit down for a few minutes till the feeling eased. I had my bag hanging on my right shoulder and I think that was putting strain on my pec muscles. This happened 2 more times so after 4 hours I decided to return to the bpk9 residence. Day 6. After the previous days painful shopping trip I opted to rest and relaxed in the residence and going down to the Starbucks for lunch. Day 7. I felt much better so decided to try sightseeing. Caught a taxi to the river area. Took in a tour of the Grand Palace, spent some time relaxing in the temple of the Jade Buddha, walked through a couple of museums and around some street stalls, had a river boat tour round the canals to the floating market and finished off at Wat Po, the Reclining Buddha before heading back. A whole day out walking around and I felt great with no pain at all. Day 8. D-Day. I had my final check-up with Dr Pornthep. I was called by the coordinator at around 10am and went down to the Aesthetic Center to wait a few more minutes before going in to see him. I was told to take off my bra and lie down. He had a look and asked me how I was feeling. The nurse then took out my stitches and he had another look saying the incisions were healing nicely and then put on more waterproof dressings which I was allowed to take off when I got home. He then showed me how to massage and I asked him a few more questions that had been on my mind. The whole check-up took around 30 minutes then I had the rest of the day to myself and went out for a walk planning to go to the night markets later. Day 9. I slept late, ordered some breakfast, then packed up everything and settled my account for the bpk9 residence and got my discharge papers and certificate to fly. Before I knew it they called me to say my pickup had arrived. The lovely lady from the reception at the residence walked me down to the lobby and waited with me till the shuttle arrived and I was on my way to the airport on my way home. It was such a relief to finally walk into my apartment and settle into my own bed again where I had built a pillow fort before I left for my trip. My whole experience was so much more than I had expected and I am very happy with my result so far and grateful to Dr Pornthep for the job he did on my amazing new boobies. Apologies for the length but I hope this helps any girls that consider Dr Pornthep or BPK9 Hospital for their BA's
  3. Hey ladies, I've been browsing the forums for a while now and have only just posted today! I have made enquiries with cosmedtour and destination beauty. One of my quotes is from Dr Piyapas, who I have found quite a lot on. The other was from Dr Pornthep, and I can hardly find anything on him or his work. Has anyone had a BA + BL with Dr Pornthep? Or know where I can find more info? Also, once you submit your assessment and receive your response, can you request another response Dr's?
