  1. Hey girls! This is my first post; just looking for some advice on multiple things to do with the surgery. I've planned the BA at the beginning of my travels for at least 6 months. We're going to Thailand, Dubai, then travelling around Europe. I know and understand the recovery time and the process of a BA and will be taking time in Thailand and Dubai particularly to relax and recover for a few weeks to begin with and have a very supportive boyfriend to help me throughout. I've booked my BA with Dr. Veerawat in Phuket in February. From the online consultation, I've discovered my breasts are slightly tuberous. Surgical recommendation is that I have a tight and narrow lower pole and will require some internal scoring, dual plane placement, with teardrop implants. It also states that if I want more with my nipples he would suggest a donut lift. I've read that he tends to suggest this option to perfect the look quite often. Personally I think internal scoring with be enough. Has anyone had this experience? I'm just worried that my nipples with stretch and look bigger. Does this occur with a BA for people with slight/mild tuberous breasts quite often and is it possibly better to have a donut lift? My nipples are I guess relatively big considering the size of my breasts currently, yet my breasts are quite tiny. Does anyone suggest the Surgery Travel warranty with cosmeditour? Would love to hear any advice. X
  2. Hi to all, Over the past 18 months I have been to a four plastic surgeons here in Newcastle and Sydney because I hate my tummy (have done forever even at my skiniest) and I wanted to have it changed.... As you can imagine the cost was ridiculous and very unaffordable especially now that medicare won't cover it, therefore my private health insurance won't either... After a huge amount of research I dumped the idea very disappointed. A few months ago I came across NIB options. They offer plastic surgery overseas by Australian peer reviewed plastic surgeons. They also offer peer reviewed hospitals with a twelve month after care whereby if anything goes wrong then an Australian board certified plastic surgeon will fix it here in Australia free of charge.... Plus they will only work with a small number of plastic surgeons overseas. With that I decided to look into it..... I researched a crap load over and over again and decided to get a quote.... I was pleasantly surprised when the quote came back almost a third of the cost of what the cost would be in Australia...The quote was based on a internationally board certified plastic surgeon in Phuket for a tummy tuck.... NIB Options have asked for a testimonial good or bad in order for me to receive a 20% discount (this was a deal just recently, not sure if they are still offering this), which for me is a good thing.... Clearly they are trying to market themselves as there are not a lot of reviews on the company.... Plus the Dr Veeerwat does a consult first on one day and gives me one day to think about the surgery prior to going under the knife... Added bonus is that I can cancel at anytime and receive a full refund and yes at times I think I should because I am so frigging nervous at different stages. I am also impressed by the guarantee that the Phuket International Hospital gives as well!! So I am booked in for the procedure at the end of this month.... yes you guessed it I am one of those Australians whom due to the Medicare changes I am heading overseas to have my procedure done!!!! I am hugely scared, more so by the pain but as I have read many many times over the outcome is worth the pain - thank you for all you girls that have been writing so positively about this!!! By the way, I am not being paid by NIB Options or forced to write about the company but I must say their offer is the only reason why I am going to Thailand due to the comfort they make me feel with their after care policy!! From the outset Claire at NIB Options has been amazing without no sales push what so ever and has responded promptly every time I contact her!! So far I have contacted Dr Veerawat directly about spray tanning and the length of time I have to wait to swim and he has been very prompt to reply to these emails as well. I must say, I haven't seen a lot of his work reviewed, specifically on Tummy Tucks but I am more than comfortable with his CV and his achievements so far anyway. The reviews I have seen are very positive but not necessarily related to Tummy Tucks. I will try and update as much as I can on my journey... I have a little one and a business to run so at times I am flat out but I hope to post as much as I can to keep you informed of my progress just like other wonderful informative people have done on this forum. Hopefully talk soon!!!!
  3. Hi... I'm booked in for a TT BL and BA with dr veerawat in June. I'm wondering if anyone could share your journey with me. I'd love to see some photos as I'm having a tough time finding any. I'm having tear shaped dual plane implants.

  5. i am 3 days post op with my BA wit Dr V at PIAC. I went through restored Beauty Getaways (did flights and accom myself) went with my husband and did a lot of research before coming over and before choosing Dr V. I must say I was not disappointed with my choice of surgeon or the hospital. i had my consultation and Surgery on the same date, the day after I arrived in Phuket, as it was Dr V's last day before he went on holidays (I knew this). Unfortunately I was completed taken off guard when I was told that my chest width would not allow for the size of implant I was hoping for. I had paid for a couple of expensive consultations with Surgeons back at home in Australia to get an idea of what I would be getting but it did not end up that way. For the last few months I was convinced I would be getting 300cc round HP unders but at the consultation with Dr V he said that the size of my chest would not allow for this implant without double bubble (I am quite petite). Dr V also said I would be a more suitable candidate for placement over the muscle as I already had some adequate breast tissue and by going over i wouldn't lose that 10% going under. Dr V initially wanted me to go with 295cc HP tear drops (as they are narrow implants) however after looking at photos of others it was not the look I wanted. My wish was to maintain good cleavage (without a gap) and have roundness. Keeping this in mind Dr V suggested we go back to a round implant (subfascial) which is over the muscle but under the fascia (a thin layer over the muscle). The maximum cc he could get to fit that he was happy with was the 250cc. After much consideration I agreed to go ahead and was booked in for surgery within the hour. The consultation with Dr V went for sometime, longer than I expected due to the changes, however he was very patient and explained everything to me very clearly. His English is excellent and was very friendly (even made a few jokes here and there). I had a blood test shortly thereafter (I fainted and the nursing staff took great care of me) and a chest X-ray and got admitted. The nurse who put the needle in for the drip/anaesthetic was very gentle and got it in first go. Great job considering she had difficulty finding a vein. The surgery went smoothly. (I understand an hour and 10 mins) and I woke up from the anaesthetic with no problems and no nausea (unlike in the past when I had my appendix out). I had some difficulty keeping food down after the surgery however I found the pain bearable so stopped taking the pain meds and was able to eat the next morning with no issues. Dr V came and saw me the next morning and I was discharged. A car from the hospital took me to my hotel. All the staff and nurses at the hospital were wonderful and friendly. My room was spacious and very clean. No complaints about this hospital what so ever. It has now been 3 days and the worst thing so far is a sore throat from the surgery and the night times. My back is sore as I am sleeping upright, I usually sleep on my side, and am wearing a bandeau around (to push them down) which is not the most comfortable so am having pretty bad nights sleep. Dr V gave me two Bandeaus (boob tubes) in black and beige to wear for 4-6 weeks (depending on when they drop). Bought a $60 post surgery bra for nothing. During the day I am walking around with ease and have been able to go to the shops several times. Pain is minimal and better than I expected (this could be because I went over the muscle). Have no bruising and a tiny bit of numbness. Right now the they are still very high and hard. All in all it has been a great experience so far. Am disappointed that I did not get the cc or placement that I initially was expecting but trust the Dr's advice and excited to see how they end up. Would like to hear other peoples experience with their surgeries in Thailand and also hear from people are got similar size and placement to me as I can't see much out there.
  6. Hi all First post for me - long time reader! I am turning 40 next year and have decided to celebrate with a BA in Thailand @ May 2016. After reading all the info and stories I am a little overwhelmed by it all - surgery included. My two clear options are: * Bangkok at Vejthani International Hospital with Dr Theera; or * Phuket - either at PIAC with Dr Veerawat (Dr Boonchai is not taking bookings in May) or at BHP with Dr Piyapas There is a lot of positive feedback about the Phuket surgeons, however does anyone have experience with Dr Theera at all? I couldn't find too much. My other big decision is whether to book it myself through the hospitals and look for great flight/accomm deals or hand it all over to an agent. I will be travelling over with my partner and two kids so would love to hear from anyone who has done this with the family in tow Any info / guidance would be amazing! Thanks all!!
  7. Hey guys, I haven't been on this in ages - but I keep my profile up for any newbies going through the same thing. If i can help ease your worries even a teensy bit - I'm happy. I have pre op and updated post op pics and photo's of the hospital room in my gallery. I also have a thread of my overseas surgery experience from July 4 2013 detailing as much as I could in the character limit I went through recovery with a friend who had unders, so i can offer a comparison of our surgeries/recovery. Hope you're all doing well, pre and post op girls B NB: I know everyone seems to be getting breast augmentations these days and there's a lot of success stories infiltrating our research, but I went into this surgery prepared to be a warning for other girls too. I decided I would give my perspective either way, if I were to be one of the 1% of surgeries arising in "complications" (be it minor or potentially major). I count myself very lucky to have had a smooth procedure and recovery. Have a good think and consider all possibilities XX
  8. Hi everyone, I am booked in with Dr Veerawat on the 4th July for BA and am wondering if anyone could give me any reviews on his work? I have not read a bad review yet! Any information would be great!
  9. Hi all, im new to the site and have been dealing with an agency called Beauty Abroad. I am looking at going over for BA late March / early April. I have decided on seeing Dr V but am unsire weather or not to just book direct through piac or to stick with the agency. Any advice? Has anyone used Beauty abroad before? Im also on info on where is best to stay and recover
  10. Had a quick look but can't seem to find a June 2013 girls thread (besides the one wanting to book a group tour). Holler! I'm booked for June 15 Dr Veerawat at PIAC but after being advised of difficult breast contour (http://www.plasticsurgeryforum.com.au/forums/showthread.php?12385-Anyone-w-difficult-breast-contour-or-teardrops-advised-of-high-risk-double-bubble) and reading about PIAC phasing out Furry Brazilians due to them not being legally supplied in Thailand, I must say I'm freaking out and have a million questions. I was quoted 160,000 baht from Dr V, which is $5200. If I were to stay in Australia I am keen on Dr Harwood who would charge around $9500, though I'm waiting for consult on Friday to know more. Scared, like everyone else I suppose, about lack of aftercare from Thailand procedure, but not too sure I want to go to a day surgery in Australia (otherwise looking at $12k+). Anyway, that's my story! Anyone else confused about teardrops / Furrys / PIAC / etc or have stories to share?

  12. Hi ladies, After many years of being unhappy with the appearance of my nose - I'm considering Rhinoplasty, a chin augmentation and cheek fillers/or implants in Thailand. I've spoken to various agencies who organize travel and the surgery - destination beauty, gorgeous getaways and also have researched the Yoskarn Clinic in Bangkok with the plastic surgeon Dr. Somyos Kunachak (he is apparently the Michael Angelo of noses). Can anyone give me advise and or elaborate on their experiences? I would love to see REAL before and after pictures of Rhinoplasty surgery performed in Thailand. Thanks girls Mel
