  1. After waiting 6 months since breast feeding my two boys for 3 years straight ;( sigh... I am wanting to go to Thailand for new boobies and I am now being greedy and if the budget allows considering vaserliposuction to my lower abdomen for more muscle definition, which i had prior to my last pregnancy emergency cesarean. I was leaning towards Dr Jib Pongastorn through PIAC but apparently he isn't working out of that hospital anymore... I am a deflated B cup and really want to push for borderline fake full breasts, DD - DDD ?? Would love to hear from anyone who is travelling in 2015 - March April or May and what they are doing? And anyone who has an experience to share, especially after photo of Dr Jibs work. Thanks heaps! L
  2. Hi Ladies, There definately has been some negative feedback about GHT lately not just on here. I feel for the girls that have had a bad experience with them, and feel its their right and to the benefit of the girls now choosing a facilitator to hear a fair an accurate recount of their experiences. BUT with the bad is also some GOOD experiences. I'm here now, its my last night in bangkok and I went thru GHT and I have to say, I have been nothing but extremely happy with them. Had no dramas what-so-ever. Everything I was promised happened, got my phone, had a fantastic PDA team looking after myself and my mum who had a brow-lift with Dr T the same day as me. I have never spoken, seen or heard from the owner of the company. Only my CM who was fine, and now my PDAs who were great. I definately couldnt have done it on my own, yes there are a few things that could improve, but like every company, they have to be told to change. I think the service GHT supplies is worth every penny of the $495. That my opinion, my experience and its as important as the bad experiences. On another note, Dr T was great - though you definately do need to do all your own research and have your questions ready, cause he is a man of few words, and really isnt forth-coming with information. I have 450CC under the muscle, high profile, silicon gel and Im very happy with result. There is no doubt the man know what he is doing when it comes to boobs. Peace out xx
  3. I would just like to start off saying that I started my experience just after the explosion on the forums about the lack of service from GHT. To be honest this concerned me a LOT however I had paid and was left little option except grin and bare it!!! Well to my surprise the experience was AMAZING, LIFE CHANGING, TOUCHING, PERSONALISED..............and so on! I had Rhinoplasty and a BA and could not praise them enough, that Patient Care Team were little god sends to me and wanted to pack them up and bring them home. I made several friends that I will keep forever and trust me in the end I was glad my husband never came, it was like a gils trip away LOL Well my experience didn't end there, a few months ago I went back for a TT and Lipo. Again the service was excellent and it was like going away to stay with family! To give you an idea of what I'm talking about at admission on of the PCT said they would bring me some yoghurt up tomorrow, I was a little confused and asked why, her reply was she remembered I didnt like the hospital yoghurt!!! 6 months later and probably countless patients later she remembered about the yoghurt?? I didnt even remember LOL This was just one of many sweet things that I could point out about this company and I have wanted to write a post for ages about how they have pulled their socks up from the up roar but just had never got around to it!! So in response to the negative reviews I just want to say that there are many POSITIVE ones and to please make the call and find out for yourself!! I hope you all have a safe and wonderful experience like I have (twice) and get the results you desire, because in the end that's what it's all about xox
  4. Hi everyone, so if you've read any of my posts you'd know that im pretty sure i'll go with Dr Poomee for ba and a lift but my second choice was Dr Teerasit so I thought i'd email him through the Bumrungrad website and see what they say, price etc etc anyways I got a reply a few days later, but not from the hospital, was from GHT, is that normal I haven't emailed them or made any enquiries with them at all, so yeah was a little confused as to why I got a response from them instead.. any ideas? x
  5. Hi everyone, I've been doing research on breast implants for the past couple of years and had a few consultations with PS's in Melbourne, but I was never 100% about the surgeons so I never went ahead with it. I am now seriously considering going to Dr Preeyaphas in Bangkok through Global Health Travel due to the much cheaper costs and all the positive feed back I have seen on Dr Preeyaphas on these boards. My question is, has anyone used Global Health Travel before? They seemed really helpful and provided much more information than bangkok makeovers, but was just wondering if anyone had used them before and had any feedback? Also has anyone got any experiences with sugery in Thailand? I want this so bad but I just want to be 100% before I do anything. Thank you everyone for your help!!
  6. Hi ladies, Just wanted to let you know about a site that has info on everything from planning your surgery, what questions you should ask the surgeon, tips for flying after surgery, and even what to eat and drink to make you heal better! www.breasthealthonline.com I know some of you have prob been driving yourself mad with all the research, like me. And it seems a good option to go through a company for moral support and extra services. I dont know anything about Bangkok Makeovers, but i want to say something about Global Health Travel. I was going to go through them as i thought using an agency would put some of my worries as ease. How wrong i was. Before i paid for the Total Patient Case Management I asked questions on the Facebook page that I couldnt see answers to anywhere. For instance, what is the protocol if something does go wrong? (lets face it, even Beverley HIlls surgeries stuff up from time to time) Vickie didnt have the answer and so got Cassandra, the Managing Director, to send me a message. What i received back from her was a defensive reply making me sorry i should be asking questions or having doubts about the company, still not answering my questions until the 2nd or 3rd time (which was, 'tell your case manager'). She also implied that a girl who had a surgery gone wrong at Bumrungrad must have been drinking and smoking and brought an infection on herself. I bought the Total Patient Case Management package under the impression a case manager would answer all my questions. Trying to get any information or advice out of these people was like trying to get blood out of a stone! They wouldnt tell me why they always book direct flights with Thai Airways (no doubt they get a commission, but they didnt explain to me about the DVT risk or ANYTHING at all for that matter) They even assumed i was having a breast enhancement, because thats what most of the girls going through them are having. The "travel co-ordinator" simply emailed me to ask if i wanted to stay 4 or 8 days post-op (with a breast reduction you have to stay at least 14 days, another thing they neglected to tell me) I emailed my case manager, Sarah to say i wasnt happy with the way i was being treated and she said she would get Sharon to give me a call. While waiting, i posted on the forum about my concerns and requesting advice from other girls on here. Sharon called me and asked me what info they had and had not given me. It turned out that they had neglected to give my ANY of the right information that they should have done. She apologised and explained how Sarah and other case managers were new and would be on the case. That afternoon two messages went up on the facebook page 'conveniently' praising what a great case manager Sarah is, and how great both Sharon and Cassandra are! The next morning i received an email from Cassandra to say "having read your latest post to the Plastic Surgery Forum" that she has had to ask her accounts manager to issue me a full refund. That GHT have "done everything possible for me", and "unfortunately this has been to the detriment of 3 of my staff who are at a loss as to what they could have done for you". She also went on to say how flights with stop-overs increase the chance of DVt (well why didnt they just say that when i asked them instead of defending their decision and not giving any information?! By the way, I am still waiting on that refund! I think it is disgusting that these forums are littered with people pretending to be patients of GHT and that Cassandra and her staff are trying to regulate what is being said in these forums. This is a place to find UNBIASED information and advice from other people having surgery. What is said is NONE of their business, to be frank. The point of my post is, i recommend that if any of you are going to go through an agency, pick your choice wisely. If the agency seem angry that you are asking questions or get defensive at all- see it as a red flag! After talking to some absolutely great, lovely girls on here that have gone it alone i have decided to do the same myself. I have received more information from them and by doing my own research then i got from any of the Global Health team. I wish i just booked it all myself from the start, as emailing back and forth through GHT has cost me so much time at work and uni its unbelievable. If anyone wants any advice, just message me...i'm happy to help, just as the other girls helped me!!
  7. I'd like to introduce myself as the Managing Director of 'Global Health Travel' so that everyone is aware of who I am and so that I do not breach any forum rules. This is my first post on the Plastic Surgery Forum. I'm not here to sell anything, I am here to diffuse the rumours about this presumed*'Battle' between Global Health Travel (GHT) and Bangkok Makeovers (BM). I personally think of a forum as a medium for honest and open discussion about a subject of public interest, and I applaud everyone here whether posting or just viewing; for your commitment to diligent research prior to going overseas.*I became aware of the recent topic 'Global Health Travel vs Bangkok Makeovers' via some past and present GHT clients who frequent the forum. I hope to clear up some of the confusion caused by this thread and hope that you will view my input here as an honest representation and not as some kind of sales pitch.

Firstly, I would like to point out that I know 'Rachel' of Bangkok Makeovers; not only is she a competitor but she is also a friend and I can assure you that there is no 'battle' going on between us. We have a lot in common stemming from our shared passion for this industry that we are both very privileged to be a part of. We are both 'facilitators', which means we help people to make well-informed decisions about travelling overseas for surgery; whilst ensuring that their safety and positive health outcomes remain the very highest priority.*Rachel offers a wonderful personalised service and I have the utmost respect for her and her mission...as I believe her mission echoes my own. Rachel and I didn't get into this industry because we wanted to 'make a quick buck'; we identified the need for a service that offered patient case management as well as ongoing support...and that means before, during AND after surgery. Both Rachel and I can offer this via the services of our respective companies. We are both 'on the ground' (living in) Bangkok and routinely deal with the challenges ladies find themselves presented with throughout this process. The questions, fears, hesitations and expectations leading up to surgery, and then of course the pain thresholds, emotional support and there are sometimes even more questions to answer during post-op recovery! It's hard work to say the least, but we both do it with heartfelt concern for those who (have done their research and) have ultimately made the decision to put their faith and trust in us....GHT or BM the mission remains the same! You as the 'consumers' have the right to shop around and find the service and price that's right for you and this is where platforms such as this forum are invaluable! Yours Sincerely, Cassandra Italia Managing Director Global Health Travel
