  1. hi, I am 3 years post-op now and still unhappy with my scars. I have added my pictures so you can see what I am dealing with and hopefully some of you can give me some tips, ideas and recommendations. I have been using bio oil for some time now, but want something a bit more invasive to get better results. I am 3 years post-op, and YES I probably should have done something more invasive at the time when the scars where 'fresh' but I am a goose, and didn't do anything! Would love to hear from anyone who can recommend a good product or treatment
  2. I was hoping there would be someone on this forum that has had this same problem and can offer some advice. I had a great consultation with Dr Harwood and I trust his opinion completely, but thought that I would ask a few questions here before I send him an email tonight. Since breastfeeding my son a couple of years ago I was kind of aware of a slight symmetry problem with my breasts. It has never really bothered me and isn't noticeable in bras or bikinis and I thought it was nothing to really worry about. I went in to my consultation thinking that I was open to anything the doctor suggested and thought that would protect me from disappointment, however this has completely thrown me. He has suggested two different sized implants to correct this problem, and after taking photos of my breasts (for the first time ever just focusing on them)I can really see the problem. Apparently from predominantly feeding from my left side, it has become a different size and shape. I am so happy that Dr H is wanting to correct this, as I know I would feel better having the same size in each side, I'm also aware that having the implants will accentuate this problem. With the limited sizing available in the Brazilians he has suggested 410cc on one side and 360cc on the other. This seems like a huge difference to me! I made up some rice sizers with those volumes and they didn't seem too different, but I'm caught up on the numbers and it's freaking me out. I have some pics that I will post (really don't want to- I can't even look at them!) for better perspective and some pics I took of the sizers at my appointment, in the hope that I can find someone in the same situation. I have seen one other patient on here of Dr H's with different size implants but the variance is tiny compared to my recommendation. Thanks in advance for any replies and trying to stay positive
  3. HI, anyone had a BA with either Harwood or Szalay? I have a consult with both of them mid November and hopefully my surgery will be booked early December. I am looking at brazilian tear drops, 300/315CC Any info would be great Thanks Ladies!!
  4. Hi Everyone, Has anyone got any reviews on Dr James Chen or Dr Belt? I went for my first consult with DR Harwood from recommendations from everyone on here but wasn't overly fussed. When I first went in the first thing he asked was what I want then I feel like he just accepted that and didn't go into my other options or explain why those were the right ones to choose. I found him pleasant and made me feel comfortable around him. But walked out feeling not very excited about the whole thing. I'm not sure whether this was because he didn't want me to go as big as I would have liked or whether this was my gut instinct. For the life of me I cannot find a bad review about the man but I also worry that a) this isn't a personality contest and of course everyone's happy and excited the first few months after their surgery. I have booked in for consults with Dr Chen and Dr Belt so will see how I feel after that. I plan on emailing Dr Harwood after my other consults to let him know my concerns before making my decision. Any comments would be appreciated.
  5. Hi Guys, So I thought I would start my own thread for my journey. As some of you may know I was booked in with Dr. Poomee in October, who I have already had a consult with. After I found out the warranty was void on implants done in Thailand I felt I was in two minds about it. After I pay for surgery plus flights I will be looking at around $7,000. Therefore I have decided to stay in Aus and get in done just for that extra peice of mind, the money does not concern me all too much. I have booked 3 consults and would love to hear from any ladies who stumble across this thread and find I am seeing your surgeon! 1. Dr. Craig Rubinstein 2. Dr. Tim Brown 3. Dr. Mark Ashton I have already had a phone consult with Dr. Kim Harwood who is lovely. I decided to have a phone consult with him because all his after photos on this forum are fantastic!! He was SO honest and told me to see some surgeons in Melbourne and try get a medicare rebate, as I have some complications with my breasts. In addition I have private health so it's worth a shot! I just want to add that I am kind of thrown by the detailed information Dr. Harwood provided me in contrast to the 15 minute consult I had with Dr. Poomee. They both had very different suggestions. Dr. Poomee was happy to put a normal 300cc implant in round/moderate. Where kim suggested XHP 350cc teardrops as I need to lift and project my breast to avoid a 'double bubble' and he said moderate profile wouldn't be suitable as my chest wall is wide. 2 very different opinions so I am interested to see how the next 3 consults go!
  6. Hello to all of you lovely ladies out there! I've searched high and low on this forum, to no avail. My question is, do you still need to wear a compression strap with brazilian implants, in particular anatomical? I'm definitely looking at getting this type, under the muscle considering I have quite low body fat and not much breast tissue. I have read that they don't 'drop', but will still settle and 'fluff out'. I'm looking at getting my BA with Dr. Kim Harwood in Brisbane, as his results look fantastic. When I go to his website though, there is only a gallery of Brazilian implants, who he is an obvious advocate of... So there's no chance to compare them at home and take a look at photos before my consult. Anybody had this particular procedure done with him?
