  1. Hey everyone, I had my surgery on Wednesday and am so happy and relieved that I had it done! I've noticed straight away though, that my left breast is more numb, and now and then I feel a bubbling sensation in it; the right breast is fine, other than the standard pain that is controlled with pain killers. I'm also wearing a stabiliser to help them drop and push them inwards (I had naturally wide-set breasts). Side note - I had fat grafting done to create cleavage, as my sternum was quite high and wide. Has anyone else experienced this sort of bubbling sensation?
  2. Hi everyone! So I am traveling to Melbourne for my BA in June. I have my mum coming with me to look after me post op. Unfortunately her flight doesn't get in till 6pm on my day of surgery and I'm likely to be discharged around lunch/mid afternoon. Does anyone in the Melbourne area know of private nurses or carers that could take me back to my hotel and stay with me until my mum arrives? Or even nursing students or anything like that? Thanks! Sarah
  3. Anyone have any experience with Mondors Cord? I think I might have it on both sides😢 Sore and ugly! I'm 4 weeks post op. Hoping it's nothing to worry about!! Would love to hear of any personal experience with it.

  5. Hi everyone, My twin sister and I got our surgery done together by Dr Tang on thursday 25th feb! At the Concord private hospital. Everything went smoothly thank god. We had our consults a day before with dr tang. Was exciting. I chose 295cc Moderate round textured implants . My aim was not massive boobs, just plump C cups. Dr tang was very sensible at the consultation. . On surgery day he was very energetic and bubbley! He took approx 45-55 mins on my surgery, our nurses said aparently he is one of the faster surgeons at TCI. A little few random facts i can think of that i want to share. At the hospital, we had this asian lady named Nicole for our nurse. She was absolutely HILERIOUS. if you get her you will fall in love ! She was so caring and comforting, and after surgery i had to ask her to please stop being so funny because i didnt want to laugh LOL. Ok another random thing i can think of, the second night post op was absolute HELL. my sister and i took 2 pandadine forte and 1 antibiotics at dinner which was approx 7pm. Then around 3.5 hrs later we took one endome each to put us to sleep. (Endome is a stronger pain killer that you only have if you require.) ... biggest mistake of our life. We were up every hour vommiting. I vomited 7 times, my sis 9 times. Please girls, be careful. Dont over do your meds. We got carried away. Vomitting 2 days after a BA doesnt feel slightly nice. It hurts, alot. I just want to warn yous dont over do pain killers. Ok so today, on a brighter note, we are 3 days post op. Today we got out of bed OURSELFS alone. Which hurt, but was a massive achievement. I cantwait untill i can sleep on my back again, my neck and back are in so much pain. I am a bit dopey at the moment, ive got heaps to tell yous but dont know where to start. Please ask me anything you want! I would love to help or explain any quires where i can. 😊
  6. Hi everyone, I am 5 days post op, this morning it hurt so much to get out of bed i was in tears. Sharp pains in my left boob , feels like a sore bone thats out of place. I am also so bloated i havent gone toilet for 5 days and i feel so pregnant and bloated, i feel even worse because of it. I have two more days worth of antibiotics. And also 2 more days worth of pain killers which im worried wont be enough 😢. Is this normal? Some women say they drive after 5 days!? I definitely couldnt drive. When will it all settle with the pain? I just want to go to sleep and wake up feeling half okay ... Also, when do i need to start with the massaging? Help! 😣
  7. Well I am day1 post op and feeling ok. My surgery went really smoothly. I went in to theatre talked some mumbo jumbo whilst they put me to sleep next thing I was awake in another room chatting with the nurses.... of course first move was to check out my new additions. yep they were there! I felt pretty groggy, they gave me a couple of pills (pain relief I think) but they made me nauseas straight away so I had an injection to take care of that... it didn't work so they gave me another. I got my colour back apparently and felt well enough to have a cup of tea. hubby came to pick me up an hour later and that was it. that night I slept on and off not in much pain at all. Today not as sore as I had expected, actually not at all what I had expected. After reading and reading and reading so many blogs and forums of different BA experiences I think I was totally overwhelmed and was really anxious and scared leading up to my surgery. I am no where near in as much pain as I was expecting (keeping in mind it has been just over 24hours so the worst may still come) I have been using the rapid recovery method stretching every 2 hours and taking Panadol. I took codine last night and will take two more tonight before bed. Ive been drinking plenty of fluids, moving around and eating normally. I have spent a fair bit of time on the couch and had little snoozes throughout the day but all in all its ok. My main thing I would like to share for those of you leading up to your surgery is don't stress. everyone is different and your experience will be your own experience so don't get too bogged down reading all of these forums and opinions. Relax and embrace it. make the most of having some quiet days after your op and enjoy your new boobies!!
  8. Hi ladies, It has been a while since i have been active on here (mainly because i hate changes and the site changed dramatically and had issues logging in) ... Thought i would write up a post regarding post 12 months. I am actually very very very happy with my boobs and i can't believe it has been over 12 months now since the first operation. I am so happy and don't regret spending the extra amount to go to a plastic surgeon. Throughout the year and a bit Dr Dona and his staff have been lovely to deal with and his bedside manners were very professional. I am actually very sad that i don't have to visit Dr Dona anymore i felt a bit upset when he said that's it this is the last time we see each other. He has been very friendly, kind and informative and despite all my questions he was also very patient and answered every single one. Now every time i look at my post op boobs and compare with my new boobs i honestly can't believe the amazing transformation and how amazingly voluptuous my figure looks now. I can't thank Dr Dona enough for what i ended up with i feel really beautiful! Ever since i got them i can't help staring at myself when i see my reflection walking past a store To all the ladies considering getting their boobs done, i promise it is worth every dollar. Just a word of advice which is common on here make sure you go the largest size they offer you (that is the only thing i regret not doing). I am hoping to see him again one day in the future when i start to age and things go south it will be a new excuse for larger! Oh and forgot to mention that i got to my originally dreamed size which is 10E (first bra fitting was 10E and has remained 10E since).
  9. So I am trying to put my post op bra back on and I am so swollen and my arms are so sore I cannot physically get it on! My incisions sting when I try and move my arms. Even the large post op bra is difficult to get on.
  10. So yesterday was the day! I had 660g from the left breast removed and 620 from the right and am already so happy with the results! still got the drains in and not enjoying that- am finding I have sharp pinchy pains where they're entered and can't wait to get them out. Swelling as started today, will see if I'm allowed to start icing. im surprised at how much mobility I have?! It's achy but I don't feel restricted in my arm movement at all, which considering what my surgeon told me I was expecting to be moving like a t-rex! Blood pressure is low- 91/40 which is even low for me so nearly passed out when I went to the bathroom. Anyone got any tips for recovery and how to speed it along? More than happy to stay another night in (they're looking at tomorrow morning for discharge) also how painful is it when they remove the drains?! Eek!
  11. Hi girls, Im almost at my 1 month post op, I had my BA at PIAC and wondering if there is variability in when you were advised/decided to run again... or other physical activity? Also what bras did you use and how did it feel?
  12. So i had my BL on Friday - i have my dressings on over the incision sites & then I've got like another padded dressing on top of that which has some old dried blood on - does the padded one just stay there until i see the surgeon/nurse again or shall i take that one off? i will add a picture in a minute to show you all. Then these is a tubi-grip bandage over the top which is pretty tight and holding everything in place. I was told by the surgical nurse that i could change this to a surgical bra today if i want to - should i change it or just leave it? Bactroban cream has been prescribed to apply to the incision sites 4x per day but I'm guessing this is once all dressings are removed to then stop infection.. Because i was post anaesthetic when i spoke to the surgeon and nurses i feel like i was pretty out of it and didn't ask any of the questions i prob should have. Thanks for all your help!
  13. Hi everyone! Been a while since i've been on here - it looks so different! I'm just over a year post op now and still love my breasts but my left one has started to drop.. I now have a crease whereas before they were both plump and high! I will post photos soon! I have a shoulder injury (im a dancer) and have noticed it has been since then but physio doesn't seem to be fixing it.. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? My surgeon has assured me there's nothing wrong surgically This breast has always been a little bigger, I even had a smaller implant in this breast to even things out..

  17. Hi everyone, I had a BA in July (around 5 weeks ago now). Everything is fine except one of my areola looks stretched and very asymmetrical to the other side. It doesn't look very good at all. The stretched areola/nipple has also lost feeling and the surrounding area has an odd sensation when I touch it. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Is it normal for this part of the breast to stretch? Is it likely to normalise with time/after implants drop? Would really appreciate some advice feeling pretty worried. CHEERS!
  18. Hi everyone, I may be preaching to the converted, but just in case anyone's unaware there is a wonderful bra and lingerie website I must share. It's called Zodee. http://www.zodee.com.au/ Free shipping and returns on all orders over $40. Quite a few post op bras to choose from if you search post surgery and also if you search wirefree it will show you all the wireless bras you can wear a few weeks later when you're allowed to wear normal bras again. Just ordered some Lovable and Berlei.
  19. Have been collecting post op care and comfort items and have been pondering how to be comfortable sitting or sleeping in my 2 weeks off following surgery. Today I found the perfect solution. http://shop.lovesac.com.au/products/pillowsac/ A giant pillow made of foam which moulds to your body and allows you to sit up at a good angle. It's actually comfortable to sleep in as well I have been falling asleep in it lol and can only imagine it would be a great way to snooze after surgery! Of course being closer to the floor it should be easier to get out of too. WINNER!
