  1. Hi there, has anyone recently had breast explant surgery on the Gold Coast or Brisbane and could recommend a surgeon and give me an idea on prices?
  2. Both my implants have ruptured and I need to have them removed. I am researching everything to find the right surgeon as my initial surgeon has retired (not that it matters because I wouldn’t go back to him anyway!). I obviously need the damaged implants removed, I have cc in one breast and my implants have migrated under my arm pits - so I need the pocket created under my arm closed etc. I also may need a lift but hoping to avoid. I have seen dr Tony Connell twice (prior to rupture occurring) and he was lovely. He talked through everything with me and gave me his recommendations. He does recommend a lift. I am pushing forward to go ahead with him but I want to be certain I’m making the right decision. My implant pockets are a mess so I’d hate to go through further surgery and come out with the same problems I’m also very worried as I am highly prone to keloid scarring so a lift will leave me looking horrendous for a good five years. Has anyone got any recommendations for Dr Watts? I’ve seen a lot for Dr Connell (and I understand why) but not so much for Dr Watts - his real self reviews are amazing however. any advice would be greatly appreciated! #feelingscared
  3. Hello ladies! has anyone recently explanted or have plans to explant? There’s nothing wrong with my implants, they actually look amazing! They’re just too big for me, and I’m no longer wanting these fun bags inside of me. The cost of removal is sometimes so much more expensive than the actual BA surgery! Has anyone received a quote that was under $4000? If so, where? My case is straightforward, the Cosmetic Institute -where I went for my BA - quoted $2990, but I’ve seen some ladies on here who have been quoted $2000?
  4. Hi, I had my consultation with Dr Gary Liew & Partner Jayne Bambit. Really lovely team and I feel safe in their hands .However I can't seem to find any reviews or find much of his work online? Has anyone had experience with either surgeon? Thanks
  5. Attached you can see my before and after shot. I have had my implants for 3 years and I really want them out Can anybody recommend a good surgeon from the Sunshine Coast/Brisbane area? Dr Harwood was fantastic but he has since retired. Also anyone who offers free consultations would be a total bonus Feel free to share your implant removal story/pics/ etc very interested to hear/see your story! Thanks x
  6. Hi All, Sorry to repost but I wanted to get some fresh answers as the last time i posted this was 2015. I am looking to having my breast implants removed this year - I have found some good prices around the $2000 mark. Facts; - Originally 10C - Now 10DD - 435cc Round - Under muscle - Surgery 3 yrs ago - Heavy on the chest - Getting in the way of sporting activities such as surfing - Can't wear a bikini without feeling too exposed - Overall the implants look great and if I wanted larger breasts they would be perfect. QUESTIONS: - Will my breasts look like empty sacks? lol - Will my breasts sag? - Will I be able to get a 2nd BA if the result of removal is not great? - Has anyone had their implants removed due to personal choice/not wanting them anymore? I would love to hear your stories
  7. Hi All Are any of you planning removal and lift with no replacement of implant in the new year? Have any of you had this procedure and are happy to share your story? I'm planning to do this early next year and say goodbye to my 12 year old implants (425cc over muscle) for good. Excited but also a bit daunted! It would be lovely to connect with others doing this and share the journey. My story so far: After breastfeeding 2 babies I had small flat pancakes. My original PO suggested a lift with implants but I didn't want a lift at that time. So, I had large sub glandular implant to fill out my deflated breasts. I went from a very flat B/C to a E/F cup. I loved them to begin with and they have remained 'healthy' with no problems. However, for the last 7 years I have not liked them and how they effect my life. So sick of carrying them around and trying to fit them into clothes. I do a lot of yoga and they just get in the way. I have to wear a tight uncomfortable bra to keep them up... they have sagged. I constantly dress to hide them and they make me look bigger than I am. The last straw was when I developed a mondor's chord across one breast due to the compression of my bra. So, it is time to swap them out for what will probably end up little boobies. I am excited to be able to wear no bra and feel free of my melons. I'll post some photos once I get my surgery booked.
  8. HI there, I was hoping to get some help, I have quite bad capsular contracture in one of my breasts. I have received one quote to get it replaced and have to wait a year for my health fund to kick in to be able to afford the operation. At the moment it is quite uncomfortable and very noticeable. I only had my breast augmentation operation 1 year ago. In the one year that I have to wait, will it get much worse? Can the implant explode or leak? I am very worried and my doctor has offered me very little to no help saying she cannot answer that question. Is there anything I can do to slow it down or make it less worse while I wait to have the operation? Any advise would be appreciated, its quite scary.
  9. Hi, I have made the decision to have my implants removed at their due time rather than replaced. They've been in or 5 years and have not caused any pain or illness. Can anyone recommend a surgeon in Sydney or share stories? Recovery time and approximate costs? Naturally I am concerned about how they will look after and the scarring! Thankyou
  10. Hi everyone, Does anyone know what the procedure is called to have your birthmark removed? and if anyone has had it done? I have one which I have been wanting to remove for years but I've never known where to start. help! Thanks
