  1. I had my first liposuction surgery this Tuesday 23/4/13 done by Mike Szalay at Precision Cosmetic Surgery in Brisbane. He was very thorough in his consult and pre op chat, and after surgery I felt honestly so great! He uses twilight anesthetic so you are not fully under but to me it was just like a general, never noticed a thing! The advantage is huge, afterwards you just get dressed and go! The nurses were funny and chatty and sweet and helped me get dressed and waited for my hubby to pick me up. Post op check up the next day was good too, I really thought I would feel very sore and bashed up but not at all. Just felt like I had done a few too many sit ups! I had upper and lower abdomen done and was scheduled to go back for my flanks and outer thighs on 14/5. He cancelled. He didn't want to risk my skin sagging and refunded. I was very very upset! He told me he only took 350ml from both areas in total. I have since seen a different surgeon and had more lipo done by him with stunning results, please see my other post for more info there. He took 3L in total. That should tell you all you need to know. Just the fact that Szalay cancelled upset me greatly but paying for no results is a lot worse!
  2. I am looking into liposuction of the banana rolls (under the bum around up into the hip) and thighs. I was very interested in Dr T & Dr M in Sydney however one never got back to me and one only offers lipo with other surgery (BA). Reviews of Dr Lanzer all comment on his bedside mannor. I'm not phased by a blunt dr. I am more interested in the quality of work. Has anyone had recent experience with Dr Lanzer and can detail if they are happy with the end results? I am happy with his prices over phone consultation but really want to be set on the 'after' stories. Thank you in advance!
  3. Hi, Ive been looking at travelling overseas for BA and possible Lipo. I have been in discussion with some reputable agencies that arrange everything for you etc. and have been looking into Dr Piyapas for a BA and Lipo. Recently I had come accross Dr Ronachai, his lipo results seem great, which is what I havent seen from Piyapas, however he is not associated with any agencies in Aus as he works from his own clinic. This makes me a little uneasy, as I do see few pics/reviews from Australians travelling to see him and there is noone really ensuring the cleanliness, prices, etc on my behalf like a trusting agency normally would. Has anyone here had any experience with Dr Ronachai in Bangkok, or any lipo experience with Piyapas where they can share results? Has anyone arranged their own travel and procedures overseas without the help of an agency? How were you sure you were getting the best price and treatment while overseas? TIA :)
  4. Hi everyone Just seeking feedback on Pamela Noon (who runs Australian Cosmetic Surgery clinics in Melbourne, Southport and Bondi.) People keep saying she's got a bad history, but I can't find any recent reviews. Any dealt DIRECT? Your help would be most appreciated!
  5. I have been considering using Dr Szalay and have been trying to find some info on this forum about him. Not much to find. I did however find some info on goggle so thought i would share with other girls who are looking. Anyone wish to add to this would be appreciated. Many thanks http://www.ratemds.com/doctor-ratings/116174/Dr-Michael-Szalay-Brisbane-QLD.html
  6. Surgery date: 14/01/16 Dr Moradi Left: 330cc mod plus, Right: 375 mod plus Day of admission: I briefly saw Dr Moradi before and he told me what sizes he was thinking of trying . I am glad I just trusted his decision with sizing . I woke up with 330c and 375 mod plus. I did not have to wear a stabiliser and woke up with a carefix bra on. Felt really dizzy and was told my medicine was not ready. This was inconvenient but in the end I saved a fair bit from delivery fees. Priceline accidentally charged me but I got it refunded. day 2: Hardest part of the day is getting out of bed. Even though I sat upright overtime my body slides more and more down and my back sinks into the pillow. I felt as thought I was glued to my pillow and when I get up I felt like I had to use all my chest muscles. The tightness was very uncomfortable and sometimes the pain around the stitches get a bit much so I'd take more meds. Be sure to have someone at home with you for the first two days. Simple tasks such as getting water and getting a bowl of food is such a struggle and you feel rather useless . Pain meds can cause constipation and thats what happened. I took 3 sachets of movicol , increased my intake of fibre. One thing I am super happy about is that I didn't have to go back to the hospital to get any bandages taken off or drains taken out. Going outside and getting into a car is THE LAST thing I want to do. I am in so much discomfort and pain A clear tape/badge was placed over the stitches ( I can't even see the stitches thought it's just some raised black lines) I don't have to see my surgeon again until week 2 post op day 3: Took my painkiller meds more regularly throughout the day. Basic tasks are more doable such as getting water, food. Luckily I had no trouble going to the toilet. I am not able to shower or wash my hair unassisted though. Still cant lift my arms above my head, way too much swelling. Constipation eased off fortunately. Apart from the aching and tightness my ribs felt really sore. Holy lord my back was REALLY SORE! They were tough as rocks it was probably from having to sleep upright for the first few days. Luckily I found a back roller massage tool I started using on myself. I was told that I could now sleep on my back but when I attempted too it was too uncomfortable so now I'm sleeping at a 45 degree angle. Since day of surgery I have no sensation in my right nipple only my left day 6: I realised that if I just took my painkiller meds regularly throughout day 1-2 I wouldnt have experienced so much pain I was trying to stay 'strong' and didn't want to take so many pills , also the pharmacist said endone can be addictive, they used to give it wounded soldiers. Realised I had a huge knot in my hair from not brushing it throughout the first few days, I had to cut it out! So get someone to brush your hair if you can't do it yourself. Day 7: Experienced shortness of breath just by walking a few dozen steps. I still can't stretch my arms straight up above my head but the pain is now gone. The only time I experience discomfort is in the morning when I have to sit up and get out of bed( morning boob) . Drove for the first time since date of surgery, it was uncomfortable, had to used both hands to switch gears and it takes a lot of effort to turn the wheel due to the tightness that I felt . My upper back + shoulders are no longer as sore and are softening up Still got morning boob tho Laughing no longer hurts Day 8: Morning boob was very minor this morning yay! I was wondering when morning boob would stop occuring and it seems like it gets better everyday Shortness of breath after walking down thee street is no longer the case I still dont have much pushing strength in my arms but pulling is no problem . Boobs still feel quiet tight on my chest, feels like I got two hard balls stuck on my chest. I can roll my shoulders with ease and stretch my chest more with no pain just tightness. I have regained sensation in my right nipple but now BOTH nipples are HYPERSENSITIVE. They actually hurt when touched. Both lower half of my breasts are still NUMB, but I full sensation in the top half . Have to admit .. I still experience pain when coughing and sneezing . No big deal it surpasses quickly. Day 16: Morning boob no longer occurs and I can comfortably sleep flat on my back and side. 3 months post opp: All sensation has returned besides the lower half on both breasts. Nipples no longer hypersensitive, they are back to normal. Cleavage gap closed up to the point they are now only 1 cm apart. They are a lot more softer now but don't bounce. I didn't have to massage them but overtime they will continue to soften. I am fitting a full 10C bra. I've been sleeping on my tummy again since 2 months post op I am still using silicone tape on my scars and will continue using them for another 2-3 months as they are still obvious. I hope this information helps you in some way, everyone's BA experience is different but generally some things are common like the sore back, tightness, decreased upper body mobility etc. the severity varies . If you would like to see progress pictures which I upload every week or, so please just message me and I will link you to my dropbox file for it Wishing you all a happy BA journey xox
  7. Hi all, I'm all new at this forum and have been seeing some great feedback. I've just booked my BA consult with Dr Miroshnik and after enquiring by email the standard wait was 4-6 weeks to get an appointment which I was happy with. I called to book in and the earliest was 12 weeks! So if you're looking to get into Dr M I'd book in for a consult sooner rather than later.. I'm excited though! Dr M looks like he produces some AMAZING results and does just what I'm looking for in the 'Natural Look' BA. If anyone has booked in or has had a BA with Dr M I would love to know your experiences/ feedback etc.. I'm quite lucky to live in the area so won't have to travel far to get the surgery done.. Actually happy that there's a little bit of a wait as was hoping to get the procedure done in winter when I can cover up a little bit while the girls settle in Not sure if I'll go round or anatomicals yet as my shape looks good now, size B, just want a bigger to a full C to compliment the rest of my frame.. Excited to see what size he thinks would suit my frame!! Anyways any feedback would be awesome!! Cheers Ali
  8. Hi I'm living in Melbourne and want to go to Thailand to have my breast augmentation done. After reading around on the web and talking to different people, I'm feeling pretty confident to go through the Beauty Med Thailand agency. They have recommended me to go to Phuket International Hospital and have the surgery done by Dr. Narupon Rojanapithayakorn. Does anyone here have any reviews or feedback about the agency, hospital and/or surgeon? Thank you!
  9. Hi I had surgery in 2011 and all was well until the last 6 months where I definitely feel like my left implant has moved. I'm now getting frequent aches and burning sensation in the left boob. Visually I can see it it larger, fuller and tighter than the right one. Most noticeable is when I flex my right pec lifts easily and my left doesn't move, . To me it is pulling away towards the arm. The left has always been slightly bigger which I'm told is normal, . 6 months post op I contacted the surgeon thinking it was bottoming out and was assured it would be OK, and to exercise it and wear supportive bras. I did this and it seemed fine for the last couple of years. I am a competitive figure body builder and it feels increasingly uncomfortable to train / lift weights. Is replacing the implant the only solution or can it be fixed without surgery ? I can't afford to go back to Thailand . You can see in photos the left is sitting lower and pulling out to the side
  10. HI guys, I would like some reviews and any information on Dr Tobias Pincock? Please note all information you may know about this doctor for Rhinoplasty. Thank you
  11. Hi there, I am planning to have a consultation with Dr Mark Doyle on the Gold Coast shortly hopefully in order to have my rhinoplasty procedure in late April/early May. I have met with Dr Craig Layt but after approximately 12 months of research I haven't felt that there is enough reviews and information about his work for me to proceed. I am having my deviated septum corrected, the dorsal hump in my nose removed and the tip of my nose slightly reduced, however, I like many others am not looking for the perfect nose, just my perfect nose to suit my face so I'm looking for a surgeon who has proven record of creating noses that fit faces rather than a nose that fits a particular description. Any reviews, photos and information or advice would be really welcomed. Thank you A
  12. Had my surgery 12 weeks ago and I am so happy! I waited 18 yrs for it and am so pleased I finally got it done, and im absolutely wrapt I got the best surgeon!! Dr Georgina Konrat is amazing, she is professional yet down to earth, and really listens to what you want to achieve, her staff are perfection, Molly the RN is a darling, honestly they made the whole experience from start to finish the best of my life, calming any fears I had, answering all and any of the millions of questions I had, the staff at the hospital were so great I had 3 nurses tend my every need. when I went home I had 24hr mobile service on call. nothing was too much trouble!. I had 4-5 days of med pain and then I was up and around with a stiff middle but generally ok, so If anyone needs to know about times, I would say go back to work (desk job) 10 days. I was honestly in very little pain, after 5 days I was on no pain med and getting round fine. My boobs are a 8 DD I went bra shopping on the weekend and my stomach is too pretty, I was thin anyway I just had massive skin from being a size 24 down to 8 and having 2x 10 1/2pd baby's plus a third 8pds. so now without the skin I look fricken amazing.THE scar is very fine, is red very flat and hides easily under a g string. WAS WORTH EVERY FRICKEN CENT. I got a loan thru mac credit was approved & in my acc in 4 days. BEST EXPERIANCE EVER... READY TO START MY NEW LIFE WITH MY FANTASTIC BODY. THANKS TO DR GEORGINA KONRAT AND HER FABULOUS STAFF
  13. Hello to all my boobie friends out there. Thought I should probably post a follow up about now and say everything is going really well. Had my surgery yesterday at Kingsgrove Private Hospital and my surgeon as well as the hospital staff made it as stress free as possible. Not long after I arrived I was called into a room to change into a hospital gown and my PS came to draw on me - he was very particular on getting everything in the most perfect position! Once he finished I was walked into the surgery room and hopped onto the surgery table/bed which was lovely and warm and gave me leg massages (what a nice surprise and distraction lol)! I had been quite anxious about the procedure but it didn't take long to be put to sleep and I woke up in the recovery room a short time later a bit sore so that was dealt with by pain killers but I had absolutely no nausea or vomiting which is great! When I spoke to my anaesthetist before surgery he explained that I was being given a mix which helped minimise the risk of nausea so it obviously worked well on me thankfully! I've just been home resting ever since. Have really appreciated the home cooked meals we made and froze beforehand. Also tips for anyone who hasn't had their surgery yet - buy straws! So much easier when you have minimal movement. I am still not very mobile but on the other hand I haven't exactly been loading up on the maximum amount of pain killers either. I think the less you have to move and bend in the first couple of days the better! Try to minimise how much you move around even if you feel ok in the first 48 hrs. It's very easy to overdo it. I'm not allowed to shower for another 5 days so I bathed today from the belly button down which was nice. Spent the day hanging out in my onesie watching DVD's and my biggest gripe was that I kept falling asleep during movies haha. Wish I had more to report but I am yet to meet my new boobies as they are wrapped up for another few days! On Sat I can take the binder off but the sports bra stays on day and night for 6 weeks, only coming off for showers I believe. As I mentioned before in a previous post they have already got in the way when I was trying to drink juice in the recovery room my new boobs were in the space I would normally be holding my drink and I had to fight the urge to use them as a tabletop lol. It's quite hard to believe that I've finally gone through with it actually. I think it will be much more real when I see them and can wear normal clothes again! OH - the first thing I asked for when I woke up after the pain killers was what size I got haha. I didn't even have my eyes open yet and I was asking what size I had. I was told I had 325cc and it was a really tight fit so i'm content. In the end I just trusted my PS to choose the size as I trusted him and he knew what he was talking about. I will put some new pics up soon. Thanks to all you lovely people! xx
  14. WOW! Is all I can say! I had my first liposuction surgery this Tuesday 23/4/13 done by Mike Szalay at Precision Cosmetic Laser & Surgery and oh my god he is wonderful. He was very sweet and very thorough in his consult and pre op chat, and after surgery I felt honestly so great! He uses twilight anesthetic so you are not fully under but to me it was just like a general, never noticed a thing! The advantage is huge, afterwards you just get dressed and go! Post op check up the next day was good too, I really thought I would feel very sore and bashed up but not at all. Just felt like I had done a few too many sit ups! I had upper and lower abdomen done and will go back for my flanks and outer thighs on 14/5. I cannot wait! I feel so good and there is hardly any bruising (again, I expected to be black and blue by now,day3) but no bruising to speak of at all and already slimming down! I can recommend Doctor Szalay to everyone!
