1. The past year, make that three years .. blah! I lost a job that took years to work my way up (was medically retired) .. and since no longer earning a wage .. I have lost self-esteem. Prednisone has also given me ‘moon’ face and an extra 12kg. After a lot of research and reading advice from this forum, I have booked liposuction on the uneven lower parts of my face, I’m not sure what happened there .. but is starting to look disfiguring, with one side bit larger than other (probably just sleep more on other side!). I’m booked in 2 months. My weight should be back down to around 63kgs by then as haven’t been using prednisone for a while (the moon face will still be there, never goes away). I’d like to also remove hard years etched on my sad looking face. I’ve researched and read helpful posts on this forum .. perhaps too much, as I can’t decide whether to get a face/neck lift here or overseas. I think I’ve found two suitable, qualified Aussie PS’s, but the expense!! I could ‘just’ afford also having the face/neck lift with them at a scrape. - So have also been looking at Dr Rushapol Sdawat or Dr Piyapas in an effort to not go into (or too far in) debt. So far Dr Rushapol is my choice. But would be interested in any good outcomes with other PS. If any ladies know of anyone who has had facelifts with these PS’s, it would be such a relief to hear of outcome. Is it best to book through PIAC?, or can you get better service and save money by dealing directly with their assistants? PIAC seems reassuring as everything seems in ‘one place’ .. I have never been overseas before and it seems a bit intimidating. I don’t know if any other ladies here start feeling ‘invisible’ at fifty as I have (probably just me) .. but I would like a decent job again one day and don’t feel ready for the ‘glue’ factory yet .. no way! Any replies would be considered a kindness.
 2. I'm looking at booking a BA and Rhinoplasty at PIAC at end of July, my partner is also booking in for a neck lift and blephoplasty at the same time. The dilemma I have is currently Dr Boonchai has reviewed me for the BA and available for the dates I need but does not do Rhinoplasty. My alternative is to find a surgeon who will do both or have separate surgeries with separate surgeons. i could book with Dr Rushapol who does both (also doing my partner) but Dr Boonchai seems to be more of a breast specialist. Anyone else here used Dr Rushapol or have any suggestions on a surgeon who could do both?
 3. Part 2 hi kamille, in light of information received from mel re: possibility of swelling and haematoma from bodytite, i would like to have labiaplasty no earlier than 15th /16th may. please let me know if this is suitable for Dr Rushapol. Please also advise of * Dr usual pre op appointment process- will we speak online, review photographs, discuss expectations and outcomes prior to meeting in person for consult? *Dr preferred method of pain control - local anaesthetic or spinal /pudendal block. *Dr factors in determining which incision technique is optimal for me - wedge, amputation or laser deepithelialisation. * Dr determination if am i able to achieve a barbie-doll smooth look Thanks** 19/12/13 Dear ** Dr Rushapol is available on 15th May. Please see treatment plan confirming your appointment. There is no other appointment prior to your consultation. Discussion regarding the surgery will all be done during the face to face consultation. This procedure can be done either under local or general anesthesia. We do not offer procedures done under spinal anesthesia. I have asked Dr Rushapol regarding your two other questions and I’ll get back to you with his response. Best Regards, Kamille Foreign Coordinator Phuket International Aesthetic Cente PIAC Info 12/26/13 to me Dear *** I would like to reply on Kamille’s behalf. Dr. Rushapol advised that having wedge, amputation or laser deepithelialisation will provide a permanent side effect. His selected technique is by means of edge trimming. This technique will give you more natural result and the healing is more faster compared to other techniques. Dr. Rushapol cannot promise a “Barbie doll look” as it will depend on your labia base and aperture looseness. He would like to suggest to have it under General Anesthesia as he is afraid that you cannot stand with the pain if you will have it under Local Anesthesia. Labiaplasty under General Anesthesia has an estimated price of 60,000-100,000 THB. This price includes 1 night in the hospital (private room), surgeon’s fee, routine medications and follow up. Let me know how you would like to proceed. Best Regards, Katrina Garcia Foreign Coordinator Phuket International Aesthetic Center Hi Katrina Thank you for your detailed reply. Please allow me to clarify my needs. A general anaesthetic is not an option I would consider for non essential surgery unless it was deemed medically necessary for my survival during the procedure. I will give medical consent for a procedure under local anaesthesia. I will not give medical consent for a procedure to commence under a general anaesthetic. I will give consent for GA only if my surgeon has an unwanted and unforeseen medical event the would deem it necessary during my procedure under local anaesthesia. Could you please clarify the permanent side effect in relation to wedge, amputation or laser deepithelialisation that you spoke of in the last email? thanks, ************ Dear ********* I’ve forwarded your request for clarification to Dr. Rushapol. I will get back to you with his advice. Best Regards, Cristina Foreign Coordinator Phuket International Aesthetic Center Dear **************, I would like to ask if it’s possible to move your consultation at 11:00AM on 15th May? Please confirm. Thank you. Best Regards, Katrina Garcia Foreign Coordinator Phuket International Aesthetic Center Dear ************** Dr. Rushapol would like to stick on his previous recommendation- Labiaplasty under general anesthesia. Also, he doesn’t recommend a wedge technique. Do you mind if I transfer your case to another surgeon and get a 2nd opinion? Best Regards, Katrina Garcia Foreign Coordinator Phuket International Aesthetic Center Hi Katrina. Thank you for your email. Please clarify Dr Rushapols reasoning for GA - is this his usual method of operating, - is there a factor in my medical history or physicality that has determined this decision. -how does he determine the benefits of GA outweigh the risks, Please encourage him to be very specific in his reply as this will be a determining factor for me. Approx 95% of all labiaplasty surgeries in Au, USA and UK are performed under local anaesthesia (with or without oral/ IV sedation) and it would be extremely unusual for a surgeon to recommend GA against the preference of the patient unless there was a strong medical reason. Also, my question from the last email was "Could you please clarify the permanent side effect in relation to wedge, amputation or laser deepithelialisation that you spoke of in the last email" (dated 26/12/13) What is this permanent side effect? Please advise why the trim method is suggested. Please also describe this process - is the tissue infiltrated with a substance prior to trimming, what type of suture is used, Thank you for your offer of referral for 2nd opinion. Please accept this as my permission for you to disclose my information specific to this procedure to another surgeon only for consideration. Thanks, ** Dear ********* I’ve now passed your case to Dr. Thanakom who is familiar with the wedge technique. I will get back to you with his surgical recommendation. Best Regards, Cristina Foreign Coordinator Phuket International Aesthetic Center Dear ** Dr. Thanakom has reviewed your case and agreed to Labiaplasty using Wedge Excision technique under local anesthesia with sleeping pill sedation. This is 25,000-50,000 Thai baht. No hospital stay required. Best Regards Mel Foreign Coordinator Phuket International Aesthetic Cente HI again Mel. Has Dr Thanakom reviewed my photographs? Why does he recommended the wedge procedure for me? Why does he elect to use "sleeping pill" (what is this exactly, please) sedation and local anaesthesia?? please accurately answer my questions with detail as i am recording all correspondence and posting on Australian overseas plastic surgery forum. These are legitimate questions patient that deserve to be answered by a surgeon prior to agreeing to place MY LIFE in their hands. Thanks, Dear ********** I will pass on your questions to Dr. Thanakom and will get back to you. Best Regards Mel Foreign Coordinator Phuket International Aesthetic Center We now have a 6 day break – no comms from them at all - s o i emailed again Hi Mel/Cristina/Kamille Please advise the result of follow up by Dr Thanakom. (email, jan 11) Specifically #1 why is the wedge technique recommended for me? #2 what (if any) other options do I have? #3 will i need a support garment/medications/dressings etc? #4 my original quote was $872AUD (about 25000 baht) why is there such a large gap (25-50,000 baht) now? #5 what determines whether my surgery is 25000baht or 50000baht? #6 is my surgeon able to change his mind at the consultation - suggest a different technique better suited to my personal needs - or does the surgeon perform only wedge technique for all surgeries? #7 what is my pain protocol and how do I manage pain relief once I am discharged? # 8 what is my follow up plan? #9 will my surgeon give me a detailed list of exactly what will happen from the moment I walk into the hospital til I am discharged PRIOR to my consultation? thanks, * Dear * I will forward your questions to Dr. Thanakom and will get back to you. Best Regards, Cristina Foreign Coordinator Phuket International Aesthetic Center

Thanks. I do not have to see Dr Thanakom - I was told I would be getting a second opinion from him due to my querying why I was recommended GA when all information I have seen on your site and from you previously recommended local anaesthesia. I am more than happy to see Dr Rushapol or Dr Sanguan., They are both highly renowned surgeons and I have a lot of faith in them due to the positive reports from their other australian patients on a plastic surgery website here. I am trying to plan my trip now as I will be away from my home for over a month, so it is important to me that I can secure my consultation with a surgeon who is able to answer my legitimate questions. thanks, **

Jan 18 (3 days ago)

to me

Dear * Dr. Rushapol advised that he will accept your case if you agree to have it under General Anesthesia. 5. hi guys i would like to ask you something.. i just surfing through all forums and finally i decided to go to piac for breast augmentation, because most of the doctor in listed to isaps (international society of aesthetic plastic surgery) there are 3 names that pops up in my mind.. - dr boonchai - dr sanguan - and dr narupon they all have a good reputation, and i never heard something bad like dr v (who is always insist some girls to get breast lift, if not he would never do the surgery) any advice, girls? because i already ask to piac to schedule me with this 3 doctors, but they rejected.. i only can have a session with one of them, if im not satisfied then i can transfered to the another doctor.. but i just thinking, What if I am not so satisfied with one of the doctors, while the second and third doctor already had a full schedule.. so whether I should stay with one of the doctor, which I disagree with his expectation? so who do you think the best? i read from the testimonials on piac that dr rushapol is very good,is he? and im looking for an apartment in phuket.. do you have any idea? because hotel is more expensive hehehe.. thanks a lot..
 6. Hello again all, Well, after many emails and tons of research, it seems my girlfriend has decided on the above Doctor and procedures to be performed at the Phuket International Aesthetic Centre, which is attached to the International Hospital. From everything I have been able to find, Belt lipectomy is essentially a circumferential tummy tuck, or body lift. The new one to me, is Cool lipo liposuction. I've done a bit of research into this, but would also like to see if anyone has received this particular liposuction. It seems a lot like VASER (maybe just a different brand?) Additionally, we would love to hear any feedback on Dr Rushapol Sdawat, or the Phuket International Aesthetic Centre, and while we're at it, any practical feedback on the actual procedure and the after effects, recovery time etc would be nice. Looks like it will be performed early August of this year, and should be confirmed in the next week or two! Scary, but slightly exciting! Thanks in advance for any information!
