  1. Hi everyone! Many of you will remember me from around 12 months ago when I was embarking on my journey with Breast Aug. In that time I have been happy with the size of my boobs, but unhappy with their appearance. I started to develop Symmastia. I have a lot of skin lifting in the middle, with no real cleavage at all. Although from side on my boobs look amazing, just not front on. I haven’t really been able to enjoy them and show them off as I feel it is very noticeable. I thought I could live with it, but who wants to spend all that money just to hide them? Anywhoooo, I had an appt with my PS this morning and have a plan of action. The plan is to remove these implants, leave them out for at least 3 months so the skin settles back down, Then start afresh with smaller implants. It will mean 2 more surgeries, but I’m hopeful that I will be much happier with them. The cost will only be time off, new implants and the day surgery’s fee. Im waiting on the final quote, but it isn’t looking too extreme. This is definitely going to be a headf#%k having no implants after being quite large for almost 12 months, so I’ll need all the support I can get! Thank god for this forum! Im removing Mentor anatomical textured 495cc. We won’t know what size will be going back in until after the 3 months Without them. I’m actually thinking about going smooth rounds this time. Who knows though, we will cross that bridge when we get to it. I guess if anyone is reading this who is considering BA, be prepared for anything, even 12 months down the track. I never in my wildest dreams expected to be looking at a revision less than 12 months after the original operation. I’m disappointed of course but just want to move on and get it sorted out.
  2. Hi, I was wondering if there were any other ladies on this forum that have congenital symmastia. I have this condition and I am 6 weeks post op of a BA. I am not completely happy with my procedure because I feel like my cleavage is not very defined. Are there any ladies that have this same condition and are more far along in recovery than me? Please share your experiences and I'd like to know if anyone has had any correctional surgery for this.
  3. I'm currently dealing with symmastia due to a previous botched breast augmentation. I'm now searching for the best options to rectifying this problem. Most of my searches have lead to Dr Tavakoli and the internal bra technique. I would love to hear some feed back from anyone who has dealt with symmastia and anyone who has had the internal bra procedure. Is the internal bra the best option to rectify symmastia? Who is the best surgeon in Australia to perform symmastia revision/repair?
  4. Hi does anyone have any experience of a surgeon in Perth that does Symmastia repair? I got my BA in Thailand and I am currently 9 weeks post op. I have been for a consult here and this definetly what I have. I have been looking into Tony Connell, does anyone know if he does this kind of surgery? Thanks x
  5. Hi i am 6 months post op (TCI) and have been told i have symmastia and need an operation to fix this. I had issues early and on first week check up had purchased a seperation bra and had to wear it for months. Had a skype appt last month and was told i dont have symmastia and to wear no bra at all so my boobs can drop. So it was a complete shock to see the Dr on my checkup and find out i do indeed have symmastia. Thiswas such a big decision for me to get this done, my gift to myself after having kids etc etc. I feel so upset and let down and keep wondering if i done something wrong in recovery or went too big in size (530cc size D) . My breast were close together pre op size A. I was initially going to go smaller but went bigger on advice of surgeon. Have been told by surgeon its an easy fix, recovery will be quick and am getting sent a quote. I assumed naively that this would be coveref under the extra insurance i paid but that only covers capsular. Has anyone had this done and if so how much and how was the recovery. Am thinking of getting them taken out completely. Feeling very foolish and selfish.
  6. Hi everyone, I have recently undergone a breast augmentation in Thailand and am looking for a doctor to correct some errors, I have had a consultation with Doctor Andrew Greensmith from the Melbourne institute of plastic surgery however i can't find any reviews on him in regards to breast augmentations and revisions, only on nose jobs ect. Is anyone able to shed some light? Im unsure of going to a doctor that i haven't heard any reviews on.
  7. Hi all, Just chasing mark lee's girls that have had bad experiences with him or having needed/needing revision from his surgeries.... any reviews experiences would be great. I respect alot of you have had a great outcome and great experiences but just wanting to hear from those who have had trouble and why Thanks ladies!!
  8. How many others have had to wear a Symmastia bra with the straps in the shape of a V? I've been told I need to wear one for the whole 6 weeks due to having large implants and now I'm worried my cleavage is going to look funny! (Either a unaboob or my boobs will sit too far apart) Are Symmastia bras common or did I get a little too excited and go too big 😕 lol
  9. Hi everyone, I had breast augmentation completed in January 2013 and unfortunately I now have symmastia which needs repairing. I have done some research online and have come across Dr.Tavakoli in Sydney but am struggling to find any surgeons in Melbourne (where I live) who perform this type of surgery. I would love any recommendations for Melbourne surgeons. Also, any advice on costs, recovery times etc. Thanks
