My turn!

Recommended Posts

When I first got here I filled out some paperwork in the main part of the hospital the. Got brought to the piac section. I waited 35 mins and had no one come over so I was starting to think they missed me then finally they called my name and took my weight and blood pressure. I'm up 4kg due to stress eating but such is life!

Just finished my preop appointment with dr narupon. He's got slot of personality that one. We changed the treatment plan after he did my exam. I'm now going 425cc dual plane and he has to lower my Brest crease.

I'm happy with that. :) he said I'd probably get to a full d which is what I wanted. He also said it was the biggest I could go being in the safe zone so I'm happy. Just waiting on blood tests and rays now!

I'll keep the updates coming!

Blood tests and X-Ray were very quick. And orderly brought be down and I was in without waiting at all the. They brought me back up to piac section when I was done and through to my private room shortly after. Very xomfortable bed. They put me in a nighty and I've got a drip in now. Just waiting to be brought down. I am nervous but strangely calm. I've wanted this for so long!

So surgery done here's my update...

They came and got me around 2.30 and wheeled me down to the operation room. There were 6 people in the operating theatre all for me. They got me on the table and strapped me down which was a bit strange but there were

Two nurses who wouldn't stop dotting on me. The go me extra blankets, we rubbing my feet to get me warm and just basically trying to keep me calm.

I didn't get to see the dr again like I was told I would and they put me under around 3. I woke up in a lot of pain in recovery and do thirsty but a lovely nurse named Au got me pain killers straight away and kept coming over to give me water.

I got back to my own room betwrrn 6-7 and now I'm just dozing on and off. They have foods here for me but I'm not hungry just thirsty. I has some more meds in closing another pain killer and speeping pill just now so I'll probably be out son.

My chest feels really tight and deep breaths hurt a lot. It may be because i do olympic weightliftin and have big ok muscles though. The nurses are so nice. I can't wait to see my new girls but I'm all bandaged up. More updates to gollow!

So I've made it through the night... I didn't sleep well kept waking up and had to be given morphine 2ce and pain pills another 3. The ice packs really go help. I have two in the room an rotate every hour of so. I've gotten up to use the rest room a few times but it's very tough geiig in and our of bed. I haven't lost any sensitivity. I can still feel all areas of my brests and nipples. The incision sites are a bit painful now when I more and my drains have so much fluid in then but I've been told that's normal. All is well over all just trying to give as much detail as possible!

Another quick update. They brought some more pills in some for before brekky and come for after and about 30-40 mins later they brough in eggs, bread, bacon, mystery meat tomatoes and sausage with some fruit for lunch. I ate the the fruit tomatoes and meat but wasn't liking the look of the eggs. Then I had three lovely nurses come in and give me a sponge bath which was really nice of them. I decided to have a little walk up and down the halls just to get used it it and it felt fine. Just mainly very tight and hard to take deep breaths. Just relaxing in bed again now. I'm in and out of a light sleep.

So it's 4am and I'm awake so I thought is give another update...

I spent most of yesterday in the hospital and was discharged finally around 6pm. Apparently the doctor was in surgery all day again and couldn't see me before then but that was fine the nurses took care if me and kept bringing me meds and food. I tried to get up and walk the hallway every hour back and forth about 3-4 times just to get out of bed I was so restless.

Finally three nurses can in with the doctor and the but my bandages off. I was scared to look because I know they were riding high and swollen but hurray I had boobies! They put me in a nasty grey bra and the doc said to take it easy for the next week, no exercise or massage just normal activities then said contrats and said if have my follow up Monday.

I had about 45 mins from then until my pickup. They came and got me and brought be downstairs to the pharmacy to get my meds. 6 different ones then I was in a car on my way. I had the best driver of the three different ones on this trip for sure. The roads here are terrible and he was so careful and kept asking if I was ok after every bump.

Got back to my room and decided to go for a stroll so I walked down bangla road for a bit then at about 9 got into bed and crashed. I asked my hotel for extra pillow to prop myself up and have yet to have any issues getting in and out of bed at the hotel. I have quite strong abs tho and I can see it possibly being a problem if you don't but just be careful. I still have full sensitivity in my brests for the moment and today I plan in walking down to the mall for some shopping.

Not as much pain today but the incision sites where the bra hits are a bit uncomfortable and I still haven't gone to the bathroom even though I'm taking laxatives. I'm also taking probiotics and arnica (doc said these were all fine)

I ended up with high profile dual

Plane 425cc. Don't know the true size yet because of swelling though.

So I got up this morning and had a shower. They felt weird when I first got up (what everyone is calling morning boob I think) they felt like they would fall off. The place where I had my right drain had some slight stabbing pain when I first got up and the bandage over it is a bit bloody but now it's just tender sometimes.

I have full sensitivity still no numbness so I hope that's good.

I switched to my Anna carefix post op bra. Doc said that was totally fine. It's 100 times more comfortable and I'm so glad I took recommendations and ordered it. It's a much softer material and doesn't rub in the incision sites. If your going to take anything don't my updates but this bra!

I'm restless so when walking with Lauren from this board for a few hours and we got our nails done. It's so nice meeting up with someone going through the same thing. I felt some "gurgling" around the right drain site so I'm guessing there's still fluid under the skin.

Last thing is my throat is a bit sore I think from the tube that was down it. And as I walk around I end up kind of holding then up without realizing what I'm doing.

I hope the detailed review helps people sorry if it gets annoying but I'm going to keep going with my experience.

My Anna bras were a godsend too.  I got put in the same ugly grey bra and it just didn't feel comfy or tight enough.  Once I put the Anna on I felt soooo much better.  When I went for my follow up appointment I saw girls buying more of the grey bras and so wanted to tell them just to wait until they got back to Australia to buy some good ones.

A heads up too if you are after the silicon tape to put on down the track for scar minimisation it's only about $30 at the Chemist across from Starbucks at the Jungceylon shopping centre.

Glad it's all going well for you :)

Not too much to update. Still have a slight stabbing pain where my right drain was but it's only in the morning and at night now.

Swelling has gone down heaps and they are starting to take shape although I'm still very bloated and swollen in the belly. I actually feel like I look preggers but it's all part of the process!

I love then. They aren't even that pretty yet but I can tell they will be!

Oh and I've finally gone to the bathroom this morning. First time since befor the op. I had been taking 2 laxatives each morning and night and it still took this long but what a relief! (Sorry for the over sharing but when you/if you go through it you will totally understand!)
