Hi, i had an upper Bleph earlier this year when i was 39.  It makes a big difference.  I had hoods that reached my eyelashes and i never wore eye makeup because there was no point.  I had mine under a local, and although uncomfortable it wasnt a bad experience.  If you are having it under a local dont be afraid to ask for more if you feel anything.  I started to feel the stitching but just wanted it over so didnt say anything.  That was the only uncomfortable part.  The other thing you should be prepared for is the swelling, it will happen very quickly, so have cool ice packs and take them with you.  I didnt but luckily they gave me some.  Your eyes explode.  The next few days werent great, although not painful, quite uncomfortable and you cant really do anything because of the swelling and the bruising starts too.  Then after that the itching started, my eyeballs were so itchy i could have literally scratched my eyeballs.  That was probably the worst part, the itchy eyes.  Then after about 7 days it all started to come right.

Just get some nice big dark glasses and noone will know.  Good luck, i think it really opens the eyes up and gives your face freshness.

I'm male but looked into upper and lower bleph and ended up having surgery at 35. My surgeon said the upper bleph wasn't really an option and recommended a brow lift instead, otherwise he said in 5 years time I would need another upper bleph. I also had a lower bleph done at the same time and results are amazing, a much more youthful look.
