Boobs are starting to soften but they feel engorged and the shooting pains just kill When will it go??? Sorry to hear your still in pain. I've not had any shooting pains for a while now, only get the odd one in the morning. Has it just started again or have they never gone away? Are you still taking painkillers? herveybaymummy
I had some but nothing as bad as this Have just taken a painkiller to help deal with it :-(
MelbGal
I don't remember really really bad shooting pains but all I remember the first month is very strong nerve sensitivity especially around the nipple, then once that passed I pretty much had all my feeling back in my breast. By engorged do you mean they avtualky look swollen or they just feel that way? I would call your surgeon to be sure especially if they're swollen and there's pain
herveybaymummy
No they feel that way. Like full of milk. Morning boob. They look totally normal. Have been in contact with my surgeon and they have been really good. They are contacting me again tomorrow to see how it's going. Have taken panadine forte and it has taken the edge off thank goodness. Might just have to take them until it goes. Weird since I have been off all pain meds since waking up on day 3! ab1990

herveybaymummy
I feel sick when it gets bad like that. It's horrible :'-( Did you find anything in particular that helped you ab1990?
ab1990
Heat pack. And sitting on the lounge not moving. The only painkillers I had was Panadol. Mine was pretty much on the end of my incision (on the outside), I held my arm close to my body and avoided moving it too much. herveybaymummy

herveybaymummy
My ps called me in person this morning. He has been so good through it all. He was really kind explaining the healing process and took all the time to put me at ease and asked me if I had any other questions. I am so happy they have super good with aftercare. I can always contact someone 24/7 and they always follow up anything you ask. Also, feeling heaps better today :-) MrsAlwaysRight
