Hi Guys,

I've finally taken the step to book consultations with the surgeons I have really taken a liking to. I have booked consultations with Dr Broadhurst and Dr Layt for next month. I think I am fairly prepared for the consultations. I have goal photos, know the size I would like to go, implant type, placement, my concerns, and I have many questions to ask. I need a better undertsanding of profiles and projection (if anyone can help?).

So ladies, share your consultation experiences with me. Who did you see, what did you take, how did you prepare, what happened and how many surgeons you saw etc. I would love to hear about your experiences, especially if you saw Dr Layt or Dr Broadhurst.

I saw Dr. Harwood - cosmetic surgeon and booked in with him. Prior to him I saw two plastic surgeons - Dr. Phil Richardson and another one which I cannot remember the name of. At Dr. Harwood's consult, I took a girlfriend with me - she was so great and a big help to me! I took photos I found on the net of what I wanted to look like and wrote down all of my questions. Dr. Harwood was very upfront about things that could go wrong and about how my boobs would look like realistically after surgery. I have a natural gap and we discussed that. He listened to all of my questions and was very respectful.

I didn't go in with an idea about projection/implant type or placement. I knew that I would prefer a crease insertion but was willing to be guided by my surgeons experience. My surgeon used Vectra imaging and that was used along with my description of what I wanted to come to what projection/size/positioning would be best for me.

I saw a PS and went in with no real preconceived ideas, other than wanting a very natural look, and let him guide me according to my anatomy. He really took it from there and told me my options and what he would do etc. I thinks it's important to find a surgeon you trust, but of course who will also listen to your input. It never even crossed my mind to go in with ideas of projection etc.
