Dangerously practicing surgeons

I'm really furious right now that girls stories REAL are being deleted. This particular cowboy needs to be warned about.

One girl right now went for a revision surgery Monday with another surgeon only to wake up with no implant and infection so bad she needs antibiotics for weeks to heal before reimplantation.

Another nearly died because of his failure to cauterize an artery and her bleeding into her own drain bad.

He has more cases against him

Why are these stories being deleted his whole practice needs auditing

Does the Plastic Surgery Forum have an implicit duty of care to keep negative reviews available and provide prospective patients with a true and unbiased account of patient experiences to consider when selecting surgeons?

We've all heard patients of the surgeon in question saying 'I've never heard a bad thing about him!!' I feel like PSF, by deleting the negative experiences from his botched patients, is influencing patients to proceed with using him. It's so dissapointing. These women have been botched, then their surgeon has ignored them, threatened them, and proceeded to smear their private medical info across a public forum using a fake profile - and now PSF are helping him attract new customers by deleting these patients posts?

Doesn't help when the dodgy so called CS creates fake profiles broadcasting poor girls private medical history!

Admin should be more worried about the fake profiles rather than the truthful comments.

Unfortunately I'm the girl with 1 BOOB now due to a botch job in an unaccredited day surgery facility in Melbourne

Hey everyone,

We have not deleted any threads/posts about this doctor or any other. We only delete comments that are suspicious and defamatory i.e. one post referring to a surgeon as a bu*chered, even then we usually just edit that particular word out of the thread.

Aside from that, we never delete threads unless the surgeon can show that the comments are fake, this rarely happens. 9 times out of 10 the threads that are reported to us are from members reporting other members whom they believe are the surgeon or working for the surgeon.

I asked for my medical history to be taken off only because I found it completey intrusive, also it was so incorrect and really attempted to maliciously minimize the extent of what happened to me- the others posts I presume the CS or his clinc manager removed- probably scared that the information leaked could get traced back to them. This whole ordeal has been so draining- both emotionally and physically (pretty sure you can agree Danielle) and I'm just hoping that either he gets better at what he does and takes more care- or girls get smarter and just do not go to him. If I could turn back time I would have saved the money and gone with a PS who would have given me the appropriate care when I needed it.

Arghh this is really scary stuff. To think I booked a consultation with him because I couldn't find any negative reviews!! :S Any poor girl could be the next victim, and she would be forgiven for making a somewhat "informed" decision because the true stories are hidden from the public eye :(

Actually the above is not entirely true, we did, at the request of a forum member delete posts by a suspicious poster who was referring to her private medical history. We have also had to do this in the past, for another patient of the same surgeon.

And do you then deal with the poster of such information, such as terminate their forum account, given the concerns their behavior raises. Disclosure of private information for any health practitioner is extremely serious!
