Benelli lift - questions

Hey all!

I am scheduled for my surgery on 11/06 (having a BA with benelli lift and fat grafting to correct tuberous breasts).

My questions for you are - if you've had a benelli (or other type of lift), how long ago did you have it done? How are you finding your scars? How was the recovery? Do you have any pics i could see?

Obviously my doc is suggesting this as he believes this is 100% right thing for me... And the pics he has shown me look great - but i want some REAL stories... as well as the 'nice great result' pics he's shown me.

Hope that all makes sense :)

Hi Flapjack,

I had my lift done on Friday last week so now 3 days post op.

I have put some pics on my profile of how they look at the moment if you want to send me a friend request :)

The first few days recovery have probably been better than i imagined although still completely drained me.

Good luck with your op, it will be fine :)

Hey just accepted your FR. Incisions are feeling amazing, way better than I expected. To be honest I'm feeling more achey than anything else and my incisions particularly under my breast are feeling itchy which I didn't think would happen so soon.

There has been no fresh blood or ooze since the surgery on Friday and so far everything seems to be going as expected fingers crossed. I feel very very happy and as you will see from my before pictures there is already a world of difference!

I'm so happy to hear that Danni!!! Results look great so far babe. Do you feel like the 'extra' amount of incisions are impacting how you feel? Or is it all ok if you stay on top of your meds? Thanks for getting back to me xx

Are you just having the benelli lift? I do think this will make a massive difference not only to your scarring but how they feel after. You'll be absolutely fine Hun.. I've ended up with pretty much an anchor lift because of how significant the sagging was. My PS was very honest with me about the scarring but said he would do as minimal incisions as possible to get the results I wanted. I haven't really had any issues with pain or itchiness around my areolas - the main discomfort has been the incision under my breasts. It has been a bit stingy and now the main thing is the itching which is obviously a good sign because it means they are healing :) the pain meds have been fantastic - I'm taking regular Ibuprofen & Panadeine plus I was prescribed Diazepam to sleep because I have terrible issues sleeping anyway but most people probably don't have that. They also gave me a 5 day course of antibiotics to cover me for any infection and I've got some Baclofen cream which I've been putting over the steristrips where the incision sites are. That apparently helps the sutures to absorb quicker and softens the steristrips so they fall off easier.

Apart from feeling tired, the recovery has been much better than I thought it would be.

I am absolutely over the moon already despite the fact I've got bloody dressings around my boobs. I've hidden my boobs from my partner for years and I already feel more confident and happier to show him in their current state.

It's definitely going to change my life and I'm sure you've probably felt the same too!

It is absolutely 100% worth it and I'm not even a week post op yet.

Ask me any questions you want Hun, I'll keep putting pics up when they're changing and my dressings come off. I have my first follow up tomorrow with my PS so should be interesting! :) xx

Not long now flapjack!!!

I can't even feel my nipples just so you know...its just the breast mounds that ache for me so far as my nerves wake up. Feels like pins and needles and bruising, nothing you can't handle! Oh and your boobs get shiny and tight and might peel a bit, plus they get a bit itchy.

Im excited for you girl.
