Pollo
Hi all. Booked into getting my lips filled with restylane. Costing $350. I want it because i am going to europe for a month, so im not too concerned if it only lasts 3 to 4 months (what ive been told) Has anyone used it in lips? If so, how did you go? newbie88
I have used restylane and juvaderm. Personally, the restylane you get for $350 wont do a lot. I will put money on you wanting more in 6 weeks! if its your first time you will initially think its enough but after the swelling etc goes down you are left wanting more. Juvaderm voluma all the way!

Juvaderm voluma all the way! Do you think if i go ahead with restylane i should use the whole 1 mil? Or use half? Also, i am getting it on friday at 1pm. Do you think by sunday night ill be acceptable to go out clubbing? Haha or will i be bruised noticeably?
newbie88
definitely get the 1 ml! get yourself some Arnica bruise cream and keep applying...bruising will happen...avoid alcohol the day you get it done...if you have a good injector hopefully the bruises wont be too bad...you should be able to cover with concealer etc.. sunday you should be ok.. Juvaderm voluma all the way! So true! I paid $340 for half a mil in my lips. It looked fine for the first 4-5 weeks. 9 weeks on the sides have collapsed and my lips have pretty much returned to normal. Would rather pay a little more for longer results. Pretty ticked off because I was told it lasts "up to 9 months"- total BS! Am toying between getting more but am not sure which to ask for- wouldn't touch rest again- it's a moneypit. Minx
BIG tip get the arnica little white tablets and take 3x 3 times a day for 2 days before getting your lips done! I usually bruise pretty badly and have always used the arnica cream to get rid of the bruising as fast as possible... I still had some of the Arnica tablets left over after my surgery in January and thought I'd give them a go for my lips a few weeks ago... Bloody fantastic, NOT one bruise this time round... highly recommend!!! I've always used to have Juvaderm but tried 1ml Perlane back in January and loved it, so toped up with 1/2ml Perlane in my lips again a few weeks ago... all good so far
