Hi Emma, my hubby carried Au dollars to pay for my boobs, he carried over $8,000 on him but there is no way that l would do that! The rest we loaded on a card. Not sure what cards you have over there but l found a good credit card that you can load your own money on that way you don't attract the fees or interest because it is your own money. Maybe pop into a bank and see if you can get a travel money card or something?

Hi .

I took over cash in my handbag and had no problem.

My plastic surgeon accepted Aussie currency and I had a safe in my hotel room.

Thanks angel81,

I think i might just do the same but my partner will have it strapped to him in the money belt... Just dont want to get a crap rate through a travel card and then end up paying more with fees etc

Open a Citibank plus account, transfer all your holiday / BA money, Barr a small amount of cash to exchange at the airport for taxi/first meal etc, withdraw cash in Thai baht when you hit Bangkok at the Citibank ATM in Centralworld or the big branch at Sukhumvit 21!

No fees, fantastic exchange rate, do not have to worry about carrying so much cash until you get there.

Keep that Citibank account for the next time you take a holiday!
