Hi, I'm 43, had three children, two of which are twins......my breast have always been on the smaller size even when breast feeding.....just a bit fuller then.....I recently was told by The Breast Institute Brisbane, that I didn't qualify for their BA surgery and need a BL too.....I was given two names of surgeons in Brisbane to see....as you can imagine I was totally gutter. I'd been wanting this procedure done for years and had finally gotten round to doing something for myself, I was hoping a breast implant would be enough to achieve what I wanted....( larger fuller boobies

I can't access your pics on the gallery. I got my BA done last year at 39 years old. I breastfed my 3 kids too. I was pretty much flat chested with being a 10AA after breastfeeding. I went through a cosmetic surgeon - Dr. Harwood in Brisbane - and he said while I had a little bit of sag he said I was fine for a straight BA. But years ago, I did have a consult with Dr. Phil Richardson. He is a plastic surgeon and does BA and BL. Perhaps go for some more consults with other surgeons to get a better idea of where you stand. Don't give up. You'll find the right doctor. xx

Thanks pink butterfly, appreciate your info and reassurance. I'll look into Dr Harwood too now, we're you please with him and the results he gave you?

Yes after FR I can see them now. :) All I can say is that I am not from a medical background at all so I don't really know what to look for in answer to your question of a BL. You are better to get info from a qualified person rather than someone like me who has no medical experience. I was very pleased with Dr. Harwood. He is a cosmetic surgeon so I don't think he does BL. But his consults are free and he would steer you in the right direction if you did need a BL. I am very happy with the results. Anything is better than being flat chested! :D

Hi Goldie,

this would be a great question to ask one of our plastic surgeons, you can follow this link and one of them should be able to answer your question https://www.plasticsurgeryforum.com.au/directory/questions

if you you have a look, someone else has already asked that question also, you might benefit from reading the response.

You can also look through the surgeons albums via procedure to compare your before pictures with some of the breast lift before pictures to see where you fit in. https://www.plasticsurgeryforum.com.au/directory/procedure/details/breast-lift-with-or-without-implants---mastopexy

Good luck and I hope this helps

It's really hard waiting but you'll need to go and have a consult face to face, I think with photos it's just too hard to tell it really depends on your measurements and skin quality amongst other things only a surgeon can tell.

The only thing I would suggest is looking at heaps of before & after pics & really have a good idea of the look you're going for, fake look, natural or in between...The thing that I got from research was that breasts look pretty much the same only bigger after implants. RealSelf has heaps of pics of girls with various degrees of "sagging" with implants only.

Good luck with it all it's really hard at the start when you're not sure what you need...let us know how you go :)
