Madfox
Im planning on having my surgery in one months time. I'm only feeling nervous about whether or not breast feeding will be affected as Im planning on having children over the next couple of years....Should I be concerned?? I want feed back from actual peoples experiences rather than google search. Edited June 22, 2015 by Madfox
BrizzyGal0994
I cant tell you from experience but i will be following this post as my surgeon has given me two options for my incisions, around the nipple which would fix my rather large puffy nipples however they would have to cut through the nerve that provides all sensitivity to my nipple, or under the fold and not change the shape of my nipples. Ive always wanted to breastfeed and i want kids in the next couple of years also, but my biggest insecurity is my large nipples (i have mild tuberous breasts). So undecided! Rustnut
I had my first implants inserted 16 years ago aged 20 under the muscle with incision in crease.A few years later we started a family and I breastfed 4 babies in 4 1/2 years. They did a perfect job and still looked great afterwards Vivian, BrizzyGal0994, ab1990 and 3 others
Vivian
I have a friend who breast fed babies after having implants for about 5 years and they still looked great too! You'd hate to not get it done and then later find out you couldn't breastfeed anyway or breast feeding just wasn't for you... gracie.d
I breastfed all my children with no problems with implants in.If ur thinking of starting a family in the next couple of years then if it was me i would wait till after. Not for breast feeding issues. Just ur boobs can really change. The skin gets thinner from being stretched out when they are engorged. There are alot of ladies out there with no implants that cant breast feed. Think it just one of those things some mums and babies can get to grips with it but others not. Implants wouldnt play a part in it. Madfox and BrizzyGal0994
BrizzyGal0994
Gracie.d when you say stretched skin as they become engorged during milk production, does that mean that you have alot of excess skin or sagging/dropping afterwards? gracie.d
No Brizzygal the little breast i had literally disappeared. So i could feel the implants alot more amd you could pull the skin up at the top and it was thin. A close friend of mine breastfed twins aswel and she has lots of excess skin.Everyone's boobs change differently during pregnancy etc. Some people put on heaps of weight, some barely any. Some ladies get bad fluid retention. Thats why if it was me id hold off. Especially as it is alot of money to have them done. When u have babies its nice to have something done after to make you feel nice. Like a push present or cut present. ? BrizzyGal0994
Yeah definitely! Thanks for letting me know. I'll be 21 in October but im wanting to start a family as uoung as financially possible, so hopefully the next few years. I will chat to my surgeon at my next consult and see what he thinks, but as a female its nice to have another woman who has gone through pregnancy to provide some advice! gracie.d
