Blossom
I had my 2 week check up today and all is looking great! I was verbally given post op instructions immediately following my BA, but forgot to ask today at my appointment what of those has changed and what I can resume doing now :/ Has anyone got a list of things that you can resume and things you're still not supposed to be doing (can I hang out the washing yet???)? I won't see my surgeon again until the end of February. Thanks girls x Katewell
Mama_Milks
Everyone gets told different things- can you call/email them to ask your questions?
Ittybittyk
Essentially just gentle walking for exercise and don't do anything that hurts. I could reach up a little, but I wouldn't have been hanging out washing (except for on a small clothes horse). Other than that I just got told to hold off until6 weeks for everything else (proper exercise, swimming, lifting my daughter up etc). Blossom
I have had a great recovery and could easily hang washing out, but whether or not it's recommended is another thing ? Just want to make sure that I don't compromise anything!
Ittybittyk
I did call up a couple of times to ask questions though - but only spoke to the practice manager rather than the surgeon and I'm not sure quite how much of her answers are "guessing". overthinkingit
I am sure it will very from surgeon to surgeon, I am a Dr M girl and he is quiet a lot stricter then many others this is what my instructions sayYou are encouraged to be mobile and continue normal activities. Avoid big stretches in any direction or heavey lifting for the first week. You may life your arms to your head but not higher as doing so will place tension on the incision sites underneath your breasts.
