Lauz
Im just after advice on follow up app with your surgeon; I live 3hrs away from my surgeon, and have 3 little kids, and my clutch just went in my car, and its 8 days till Christmas! :-( I can't afford to get back up to see my dr not do I have the means any ways, but they are insisting I should come in and get checked. I understand why I need to, but I saw a gp at day5 and she said I looked fine post op, swelling isn't too bad, minimal pain just under boobs n kinda on the side of my ribs. Am I risking future damage if I miss this appointment? :-/
Mama_Milks
Can't you explain the situation and send in those pics?I'm interstate and had a gp appt at one week to have my dressings removed and incisions cleaned. As long as I sent in pics (8 in total) incisions plus front/side/diagonals they were happy.I also had a Skype appt at 6 weeks. It's worked well Good luck! overthinkingit
I am 4hrs from my surgeon, and he has patients fly from the other side of the country for surgery he does not expect any of us to drive back for out follow up appointment. We send photos and he calls at the preset appointment time. Lauz
Lauz
I said that to the reception but she was quite blunt, saying that he actually needed to see me in person. Add another $250 odd for the appointment as well! :-/
love and glitter xo
Is your post op appointment not free? pink butterfly
pink butterfly
My post op appointments at 1 week, 4 weeks and 3 months were all included in the BA total cost. Were your appointments considered an extra? I personally would have a follow up appointment or two because the surgeon knows what they are looking at. Bec_Mummsy
My initial consultation was $200 & my post op appointments at 1 week, 8 weeks, 6 months & 12 months are all covered! Surely considering your situation they would let you send photos & assess you that way.... Lauz

Even the initial consultation that I paid before booking was taken off my BA price before I paid for it Katewell

Can see why they so desperately want you back ???i think it's robbery to charge for post op care it should be included in the fee you pay the surgeon. Plenty of clinics are happy with GP checks or Skype consults for remote clients, so long as you are getting some form of medical follow up which you are Shayne, Katewell, BA&Rhino and 2 others
