voluptuous_aj
I had my BA done today, was just wondering if I should've been prescribed some antibiotics for post op recovery? I've been given pain meds ect.. Just wondering if this is the norm? Thanks xx

HarpersBizzar
I got antibiotics to take for 5 days but I have a different surgeon. Maybe check with other Dr T girls? ?

December_boobs
Funny that he hasn't prescribed any...maybe get into contact with him if you can. It's safer to take them, especially in the first week when your incisions are doing most of their healing.
voluptuous_aj
Oh no now I'm nervous. What sort of ab's are you girls taking?no I didn't talk to him but I was in recovery for hours before they let me leave. My hubby filled the script so I didn't realise till I got home. should I wait till morning to call or should I call/text his phone?
December_boobs
I'd wait until morning, one dose missed of antibiotics doesn't matter too much.I'm taking Ibilex (Cephalexin) 500mg. I have 1 every 6 hours & from memory there's 20 tablets all up which is enough to last 5 days. voluptuous_aj
LaurenT
Some surgeons don't prescribe antibiotics because you are pumped full of them during surgery. Most surgeons do seem to prescribe antibiotics for afterwards though. Did you not get given your scripts a few days before surgery? voluptuous_aj and Blossom

Don't freak out Dr Broadhurst doesn't prescribe antibiotics after BA. The same thing happened to me and I contacted the nurse and was told that he gives you intravenous antibiotics than packs them around the implants also. I was sending her boob shots and everything asking is this normal lol.1 day won't hurt you though. voluptuous_aj
voluptuous_aj
Thanks so much girls, I just texted and he wrote back straight away explaining I had them Iv and he pumped them around the implants. Phew... Still can't quite wrap my head around that but feel better having asked him.. Thanks so much to you lovely people on this site, such a saviour as I tend to panic and get anxious quite easily. So thank you ❤️ Shayne, HarpersBizzar and elle_cee
