New to botox - need advice

Recommended Posts

Hi girls,

I have been wanting to have botox for the past 18 months and have decided that the time has come and I can't put it off any longer.

My worries are under my eyes, when I smile I get the lines in the bag area of my eyes. I had a quick chat at my surgeon's office with one of the botox specialists, as I wasn't sure whether I need filler. She suggested to start with botox.

I know it's hard to say without seeing my face, but what is your experience? Also what brand of botox should I look into? Does it matter that much?

I have booked a consult but would like to go in there with more knowledge.

TIA.

Hi Missy, I have the same problem with wrinkles under the bag area of my eyes. My dr suggested filler which is what I've had. It hasn't really made a huge difference so next time I will be trying a bit of Botox. I think this area is a tricky one. I've had Botox in other areas and it's worked very well. Good luck!

Thanks @Sam Sugar. She said the reason why I'm getting those wrinkles in the "bags" area is because my cheeks move super high creating the wrinkles. So she said by putting botox (something along the lines of 3 jabs) on either sides of my eye area (crows feet area?) it will stop the cheeks from moving so high when I'm smiling or laughing. Still smile normal but it won't create that crease? This was just a quick chat, so I will see what they will say in the consult which is in 2 weeks.

Missy also look into Dysport, Botox usually cost more and Dysport is a good subsititute.

Also you should speak with atleast 3 doctors to get their opinions and then make your decision.

Hope that helps.
