Capsulectomy

Recommended Posts

When you have a full capsulectomy the entire capsule is taken out.  It makes sense then, that if you go up a little in implant size it's not going to make you look bigger than before because the capsule's been removed.

So what happens when a new capsule grows back?  Does that mean you end up a little bigger once the capsule grows?  I can't say I've ever noticed it on me after quite a few BA's!

Interested to know if anyone has noticed that they got bigger after a period of time when the capsule formed.

Yes, that's my understanding too.

But I'm wondering if when the new capsule grows back whether that makes you bigger again?  You'd think after 4+ BA's I would know but I've never really taken any notice.

Hi Ladies

I have recently had this surgery completed by Dr. Guy Watts.  The capsulectomy was only completed on my left hand side and was replaced with the same size/type implant as removed.

CJBear so you had a capsulectomy on the left side only and it was replaced with the same size implant you have on the right?

So is your left the same size as your right or is it a little smaller because the capsule has been removed?

Doesn't a new capsule form ,so eventually it wouldn't matter ? I had a capsulectomy and it didn't decrease my breast size ,the capsule depending on the contracture is still very thin would be talking mm ! Hmmm never thought about it before ,,,interesting

I'm interested in what happens here. My right breast , which was a tad fuller, has become firmer . what does the surgeon do to fix
