Hi, i have read that glasses are not recommended to be worn after nasal surgery for at least 6-8 weeks. Just wanted to find out if it is okay to wear sunglasses for a short period of time a few weeks after a rhinoplasty for things like driving a car.

When ever I wore my glasses I lightly placed it on my nose.  In saying that I left my nose taped for 7 weeks straight.

Please follow your surgeon's advise to avoid getting yourself into problems. Your nose is very delicate as it heals, and you don't want to mold it any other way. However, I do understand your concern since eye care is also important especially when driving. I would suggest that you ask your doctor about this.
