Zoey23 59
Hey ladies! Ok, so I am 5 DPO and experiencing very little/nonpain except in one place. My left boob, towards my sternum, about midway just feels like someone pushing a bruise. Small area, perhaps a fingertip size. No redness or heat. It’s annoying, not dreadful. But what in the world? Thank you all for being my sounding board!!

If you get zinger like pains, they are from nerve regeneration. It's good there is no redness or heat as that would indicate an infection. If it's not better/less painful in a day or so call your surgeon's office I HaveBoobs and Zoey23

It’s just something I’ve never been through, so I’m questioning it all. I could birth a baby un-medicated and not be at all concerned, but this is new. ? sabP
I HaveBoobs 951
Hi @Zoey23 i think it's what @sabP said a bit of localized brusing , i had a similar type of pain in the first week or two right in rhe middle of my sternum and at one of my po consults my ps said that my left chest muscle was harder to release as it was much tighter than the right side so it could be that the muscle in that area is a little tight and will relax with time, mine went away eventually but if it dosn't ease up in a day or two please contact your surgeon Zoey23 and sabP
pink butterfly 1,509
All those "fun" aches and pains after surgery! As you said, as long as you are not in excruciating pain, having a fever or vomiting etc, it probably is just your torso resettling after being pushed and prodded for your BA. I got the nerve regeneration pain (aka zingers!) up to 4 months post op. Things settled after that. But then it happened around the 9 month mark post op for a while. Definitely mention to your surgeon today about the pain. Hope your healing continues to go well. x Zoey23
