I've been lurking forums for a long long time now, intrigued, sponging in everything I read. But it seems with more knowledge comes more questions so i decided to join and really get to know you all and ask you everything that I might need to know. (I think my boyfriend and best friend will also be glad that I've got someone else to bug with my boobie obsession!)

I'm 20 years old, 5,11 and 60kgs. whilst being blessed with long slim limbs and a large curvy bone structure, something was forgotten! I've finally made the decision to secure what I'm missing and be proud of me, all of me!

I'm booked in for surgery on the 26th September with Dr Tavakoli. I had a consult with Dr Hunt as well but found him to be almost 'slack' as a Plastic Surgeon. They had hardly any sizes to try on, didn't seem to know much except for the real technical side of things and he was really conservative. I had my consult with Dr T straight afterwards and the experience and knowledge was evident immediately, I told him what I wanted and he didn't um or ahh about size. 460cc compared to the 400cc I thought i'd need, they looked amazing but the size did scare me. I want something fake/natural not HUGE! However ive been in and tried size on again, and it's perfect. So now just to wait and prepare as much as I can.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing my journey and stories to come!

x

Hi SmallJoy, I am glad I found this forum too to talk about surgery. Only my hubby and best friend know and I can't go on and on about it with them, so it is great to be on here to talk about it with others going through the same situation. Is it the 460's you are going with? I tried them on and they looked massive! No way I could go that big, I am an 12A/AA and wanting about a D/DD. The 460's looked like an F cup on me, but I am shorter than you are.

Good luck!

Lozz68: We have very similar stats! What size have you decided to go with? I've heard a lot of great things about Dr Harwood and wish I was closer as he sounds a lot cheaper than my doctor as well!

Platinum: I think for me it was more about a look and now a letter size. I originally thought large D/DD but I'm already a C and look an A because I'm so tall and broad they just look tiny compared to my body. My post op size will likely be around the E/F but I highly doubt I'll look as though I've got E/F boobs due to my height and broadness. Not saying I'm big!. I just have to trust my PS after he's seen a billion photos of what I like.

Oh ok, I didn't ask what was my maximum size but my surgeon did state that if I go 500 or larger that's when they'll start to look 'fake' and I'll be pushing myself size wise. I'm still scared about the size but fingers crossed my PS knows what he's talking about. He was adamant I would be dissappointed if I went any smaller so hopefully they're not too big! I'm definitely getting 460, it's just up to him to decide between UHP and HP on the day

I don't know it! Is there a way to measure it myself? One doctor said 14 and one said 12, I think it's closer to 12 because I'm not huge and I've never seen anyone with anything larger than 12.5. The doctor I'm going to said 12 and the base of the implants I'm getting in around that so I guess that makes sense

Yes the base of the implants should usually be within about 1cm of your BWD. You can measure it yourself however it is not very accurate as you have to try and measure the base of your breast - not including the breast tissue you already have.

You can sort of do it by drawing lines down from the sides of your boobs and then use a measuring tape to measure between the lines where your band for a bra would usually sit. It is much more accurate to use the caliper things that the doctors have! dont even know if that made sense..

I have a BWD of about 12 and my implants are 12.3cm width. I also cannot go any bigger because of my crease to nipple distance - if i go bigger i risk double fold :(

I have seen a couple of people with BWD of 14 but it is uncommon in girls with a narrow chest.

My BWD is 14, I was a swimmer so have broad shoulders and chest. The 2 implant sizes I am choosing between currently are 12.5 and 12.75 so more than 1cm difference but I am an A/AA with so very little breast tissue that my PS says I can't go too big or wide as I will def feel the implants. He told me I will feel them at the sides anyway because of my lack of tissue. You can measure yourself, just google it, but it won't be as acurate as someone else specifically a PS/CS doing it
