I'm hoping to get a 620cc Brazilian - either HP or UHP - depending on my chest width. I'm starting to get so excited and i haven't even seen either of them yet! I only saw Dr Szalay felt good after speaking to him on the phone a couple of times and flew down from cairns for a consult with him. He has a great reputation but can come off as a little quirky/aloof. I found him to be a no fluff kinda guy, says it like it is. It seems after following this forum he has a tendancy to go larger that other surgeons which at first i spent 3 weeks stressing over being too large but now can't wait for those D-DD's to arrive, let me know how you go with your consult when you have one and good luck. I see you're going for teardrop Brazilians. Did you discuss rounds as well? Also are you going MP or HP or UHP? and are you going under or above muscle? lol - i wouldn't worry too much about going "too big". Lozz68 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Share Posted September 9, 2012 It definitely appears that most girls wish they had of gone bigger rather than smaller - but there are cases when the opposite is true. going really big can have a greater risk of complications, make shopping for bras harder and also may get in the way if you are an active person. This will all depend on what you are hoping for out of a BA and talking it all over with a PS usually helps! I think i will probably be one of the people who gets boobie greed as i am looking for a large fake look, but my PS will not allow me to go any bigger! Sizers will usually give an idea of what size you are looking for. If you like the 410 sizers than i dont think you will be going too big as you are quite tall and will carry the size well!! I'm really counting on struggling to find bra's ito shopping ... that would be a very desirable outcome actually. but yeh - i realise that will mean a struggle when buying bras, but i would regard that as a success story. I think the Brazilians pretty much prevent most of the complications which could occur, except maybe the breast crease issue if pusing the limits? For me - the double fold is the complication i may face if i go bigger, as well as stretch marks. I think there is also a higher risk of symmastia (uni boob) if the pocket is over dissected. the skin is stretched much thinner with larger implants, which in addition to stretchmarks can cause tearing of the incisions etc. nipples are much more likely to become numb, sagging, too much side boob (your boobs will always be in your armpits and get in the way) this is only just off the top of my head from my research. you will really need to look into this yourself and talk to your PS. a really good starting point to finding out what is an appropriate sized implant is having your BWD - do you know yours? your surgeon will use a special tool to measure this but it is also possible to get an estimate from home. the base of the implant really should be within about 1cm of your natural BWD in order to reduce complications. The Brazilian 620UHP has a base width of 13.5 just for reference. My BWD is 12 and my PS is putting in an implant with a base of 12.3, which is the biggest he wants to go. My BWD is 12 and my PS is putting in an implant with a base of 12.3, which is the biggest he wants to go. i'm not too worried about stretch marks as mine were much bigger before and so the skin is already pre-stretched. lol @ sideboob i believe that's something which our naturally gifted sisters have to contend with in any case. not sure i'll mind that too much. uniboob is a funny one too (unless it happens to you of course) - but that will only occur if the diameter of the implants is too wide - so may lift the skin off of the breast bone - so cannot separate the boobs then. Can you perhaps give me some info on this BWD meansurement? i'd like to measure mine. also, where do you get the info about what the diameter (and height) of the Brazilian implants? The rounds in the catalog are called maximum, while the regular anatomicals are the natural. Have a look at this link for measuring BWD by yourself: http://www.cosmeticsurgeryforums.com/breast_width_dimension.htm It is the base width of your breasts, which means you have to measure the width of your breast not including any existing breast tissue which is what makes it complicated. To do mine i drew lines straight down from each side with a ruler and then measured the distance between the lines. This gave me a measurement quite close to what the PS said. In regards to sideboob, i didnt just mean the same as natural breasts would have - if the pocket is over dissected then the implants can move too far into the armpit which can be painful and irritating. there has been a girl on here recently i think who had her pockets over dissected in this way and has had to have multiple surgeries to correct it. with the uniboob yes that is basically correct, the width of the implant is the problem. I've only just gotten time now to start looking at the Silimed catalgue... So now i'm wondering what you think of the various shape implants? i see you're going for round Brazilians... which is what i figured i'd go for as well. but the natural/tear drop profile does look amazing as well! did you consider those? Anatomicals (teardrop/natural) can also give a round look but it depends on the existing tissue, many people think that these generally give a more natural slope - these are best for those with deflated/sagging breasts as it brings the nipple up to an appropriate spot, whereas rounds in this situation could leave the nipples too low and pointing downwards. These are things that a PS will be able to go through with you but it is generally decided based on what you have an what you hope to achieve! BellaM Posted September 16, 2012 Author Report Share Posted September 16, 2012 sorry for late reply aquabloo, due to my saggy boobs he pretty much said teardrop was my only option and would bring my nipple back to where it was meant to be. I am going dual plane so under the muscle at the top but the bottom of the implant above muscle to fill and lift the pocket. Dr Szalay is a little different and can come across as a little abrupt but just says it like it is. Make sure you take your time do not feel pressured into a quick decision and take your time looking in the mirror with the sizers. some of the girls have suggested wearing a light coloured singlet as it pronounces breast size which i would recommend as he seems to only have black ones. have a list of all your questions/options and get him to take a pic of you with the suggested sizer in for you to keep to look back on. good luck and let me know how you go.
