considering247
Hi Girls, For those of you that had your BA done at Bangkok Hospital Phuket, did anyone purchase their post op Bra from the hospital and if so, how much was it? I'm wondering whether it would be better to buy it there so I know what size to get cause I'm worried if i buy one here it wont be the right size! Also, if i get some wire free sports bras to take over with me what size should I get those in? The same band size as I am now and maybe a DD?? So confusing! I'm a b cup at the moment and looking at getting 350 or 375 cc's.... Any help please!
Lozz68
Hey, i cant help you with Post surgery bras overseas - but in regards to sports bras post op i have bought a couple of crop tops in one size up from my normal band size (to accommodate swelling) im not sure how well they will work as i am still pre-op but i am pretty happy with what i have. I know i can always go and buy another one after a few days if they dont fit properly
allaboutboobs
Lozz, i'm still not sure which post op bra to get. i have seen a couple in target and myer. when you say crop top what are you meaning? lol
Platinum
I don't know about post surgery bras o/s but I have bought some of the target T30 sports bras. They just have a band width size and so fit various cup sizes. I have bought some in my current band size but will go and get 1 or 2 more in the next one up for swelling to begin with. I also got some of their ahh bra type ones but I think I won't use them until later on as they don't feel very supportive for new implants anyway. I am staying away from buying any other post op bras as I really don't know what size I will end up being. I will stay with the one I am fitted with at the hospital for a few days then I might go out and get a berlie post op bra etc
Lozz68
My PS is going to supply me with a proper post op bra with a zip up the front so that will probably be the main one i will use for the first little while ... But the crops and sports bras i have are from target and cotton on body. they are similar to these - http://shop.target.com.au/t30-sports-crop-in-black http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/product/yoga-crop-mid-grey-marle/
oakley
I am in love with the Berlei Post Surgery bra, but I just bought this on Tuesday and now need to get a new size because it's leaving marks and just plain uncomfortable. The bra supplied by my doctor was fine for the first 4 or 5 days but then I just wanted something better. http://www.zodee.com.au/p28991-berlei-post-surgery-wirefree-crop-bra As for knowing what size, that's the big question. You really won't know. So I would go for a comfortable sports bra in your normal size and then worry about a better bra once you get home
Platinum
If anyone is thinking of getting that berlie post op bra I found it here for $44.99 instead of $59.99 http://www.undiewarehouse.com.au/underwear/post-surgery-bras/berlei-post-surgery-wire-free-crop.html
oakley
Oooh that's great, I paid $60 for mine in the shop too! Good find
considering247
if i get a couple of different sized sports bras to take over with me do you think the surgeon will just let me use those straight after surgery until i get home? I just worry that a sports bra wont be low enough around the width at the bottom if you get what I mean? As in, I dont want it rubbing on the incision area... oakley
I worried about that too but I haven't had anything rub on mine yet and I've probably worn 4 or 5 different crops/sports bras/surgery bras already in the last week. The incision is a lot higher than you'd imagine and I haven't had any pain or problems with it at all. Then again, I am just one girl and others might have different opinions
chacha
Hi there , I bought 2 different sizes of sports crops from target, size 10 and 12, actually 2 of each. I tried these over my super dooper padded bras and they fitted fine. I also bought some bra extenders in case the swelling was bad around my mid riff, but I'm fitting nicely into the size 12. Also bought the 10d in the berlei post op bra which comfy and fits well and easy to put on, but I like the target sports crops better ( look up YouTube of mrsforeman) , not sure these ones are still available but they are similar to the triumph traction sports crop, but without the cross over the back whick could be tricky during the first week. They didn't really offer me anything at the hospital, and dr piyapas said to wear a supprtive sports bra no wire, so I'd recommend taking a few different options, and see what works, you'll find they change daily anyhow! Good luck ChaCha
Lozz68
Hey ChaCha - i have looked for the target crop that MrsForeman has mentioned but havent been able to find it so yeah not sure it is available anymore
Minimel
Hey girls I've got a few different crops but my issue with them is that you have to put them on over your head...isn't that going to be difficult in the first few days???
chacha
Yes I bought some very reduced, about $15 each. But the material in the triumph triaction crop is identical. HTH ChaCha
SmallJoy
Ladies! I've got a post op bra from Myer online. It's a post surgery bra. Clip at the front, it comes in S,M,L and A/B or C/D but stretches a lot past a D. I got S C/D. It seems compressing and supportive but breathable so perfect for when there's swelling and such. Better yet, it's $30! And free delivery . http://shop.myer.com.au/shop/en/myeronline/au-amoena-frances-front-opening-post-surgery-bra-in-white-or-nude-2128-d-20707 I forgot to mention, it's front opening! chacha
My crops do up with the usual hook and eye at the back, so it's adjustable. The berlei post op opens front and back. Katska
I'm not sure what to do either. I contacted my surgeon and he said they have bras at the hospital as its hard to tell what size I am but I'm thinking of getting maybe one of these - proper post op bra and it's got a hook eyelet front.. There is another too with a zip up front.. Although they're not the nicest looking things lol http://www.statina.com.au/alice-hook-eye-post-op-bra.html
Rose2704
Katska they are actually some of the nicer post op bras I've seen! I might seem a bit clueless but can anyone tell me what the 'implant stabliser' band do exactly?
Katska
Actually I retract my previous statement... Some of the ones I've just found are hideous!!! I'll just get some mediums haha.. I like the zip one too on there.. I could be wrong but I think it's to sort of hold the implants down and in place while they adjust maybe?? So they don't look like they're up to your chin lol
