Lozz68
I know that some PS wont do the surgery within 3 - 6 months of breastfeeding. How long since you stopped?
Platinum
I have heard a lot of surgeons don't like to operate for over 12 months after breastfeeding has stopped. I think that is in Aus though, o/s surgeons might be different. I would check with your Doctor, you wouldn't want to go there for nothing. Have you already paid for any of your surgery? New girl
Good question? I stopped feeding in about march and had my surgery just over a week ago. I was still producing milk in may when I had my consultation although it didn't come up in conversation at my consult. I did however start the pill (only for a month as it screws with my body) I'm pretty sure this dried up my milk although I'm sure if I squeezed my nipple I still would have got a drop out. JenJen
Is it a significant amount? If not, I don't think it will be a problem. I stopped feeding three years ago (twins) and still have a little that just won't dry up..
mumO5
Hi there delice I booked my BA back in April for nov 2012 I told my ps that I was currently breastfeeding and was planning to stop in may due to having been stopped for 6 months before as I had been told by a ps here in Sydney 3 to 6 months before BA could be done .... So I stopped breast feeding in early June and told my ps in Phuket that I had stopped and now he wants me to sign a waiver when I'm there as he recommends 12 months post breastfeeding... I had already paid airfare and accommodation so I wasn't cancelling that's why I have to sign a waiver now .... Goodluck MumO5
