BA or BA with lift?

Hi all,

Just wanting some advice- has anyone been recommended a lift but just gone with BA?

I'm looking at getting BA done next year at Bangkok hospital Phuket with dr piyapas and he has recommended a lift too which I really don't want!

I am 22 about a B cup used to be a D so there is a little sagging (nothing dramatic) well nothing that has ever bothered me anyway! He said my case is borderline but I might need a lift. Has anyone been in this situation? What did you do?

Thanks!

I was told the same thing by him when I sent my pics through. However my PS I am seeing here has said at most all I would need is a small nipple lift and even that's only a maybe. Depending on the size of the implants you get that might be enough to lift the sag up.

Maybe go for a consult here before you go and see what they suggest?

Hi Rose2704,

I was quoted to do a BA and Lift by Dr Jib.

I posted my pictures on realself.com and had many other plastic surgeons respond, with various responses.

Some said I could get away with it, some said no, some said maybe.

In the end I decided I wanted the lift, I have seen lots of pictures of girls that have saggy breasts and have just had implants and to me they just look like bigger saggy breasts.

I am 4 weeks post op and very happy with my results, my breasts are VERY perky :)

Id be happy to show you pictures if you need.

Barely there- he seems to say that to a lot and he is not very willing to listen to your concerns only what he thinks. I ask for my info be sent to. Dr witoon and he agreed with my concerns and said I could have just the BA or an internal lift- anyone heard about this or what it is?

Shanonse- I would love to see if that's ok? I'll add you :) I'll have to check out that website can anyone put photos on there?

Hi Rose2704,

I had a BA with Dr Piyapas at Bangkok Hospital Phuket about 2 weeks ago. He strongly recommended a lift and BA after seeing my pics and after seeing me in person the day before the operation. I saw two plastic surgeons in Melbourne in person as well and they both said I could get away without the lift, as long as I got large enough implants. At the moment my breasts look good, but I know it is still very early days. When I bend over my nipples look a bit too low, but I guess this is to be expected. Deep down I knew (and was told) if I didn't get the lift they wouldn't be perfect and as perky. If they drop too much in several months I will just have a lift at a later stage I guess. Hopefully they won't change too much! I will have to wait and see. I didn't think I had many other options available to me other than a full lift with the lollypop scars. In hindsight I wish I had asked more questions to see if I could have maybe just done an anchor lift or an internal lift. I think I was just so against having the lift and so scared of severe scarring I just avoided even discussing it at all.

Hey girls, I'm exactly in the same boat I'm 22, no children. I never thought my breasts were that bad and when I went to Dr. Mchugh in Sydney - he said that I would definitely need a lift with my left nipple. This escalated the price from $8800 to $13600. It was quite disheartening as I'm only a student and it's going to take ages to save up for that kind of money. Anyway, I'm having a second consultation with Dr. Harwood next week and I'm hoping that I can avoid a lift.

As you can see I was the same.. I had 4 consultations one said a lift, one said maybe a lift and the other 2 said no lift. I really did not want a lift for the cost and the scaring I am now booked in for just BA if you don't want one or don't think you need it DON'T HAVE IT find a surgeon that will do what you want as its your body and you have to live with it.

That's an excellent point! Hopefully the turn out will be just as good for me! Update us on your surgery!

I had implants put in almost three weeks ago, I wasn't happy with the results as they were quite saggy still (they just looked like my old boobs but bigger) so yesterday I had a breast lift to correct them and they already look AMAZING. My surgeon said i wasn't even borderline on needing a lift when I had my initial consultation, but it turns out I did haha. Luckily my surgeon was amazingly accommodating and did it free of charge =)

I've been recommended (but not necessary)by two surgeons to have a lift but waiting on other recommendations from Thailand surgeons.

Have sent you a FR too :)

Wow he did it free of charge, is that because he should of realised you needed a lift beforehand? Im seeing Dr Mark Ashton in feb and have very similar pre op stats to you with post pregnancy and breastfeeding deflation etc. What sort of lift did you get?

I had a lollipop lift with a nipple reduction becausey nipples had stretched so badly. Mark said it was a combination of the muscle damaged caused by pregnancy (the muscle didn't hold the implant where it was originally put) and my skin being quite stretchy. I'd recommend asking him about whether you need a lift to begin with, and be really really really clear about your post operation expectations!

Thank you. I will definitely be asking and being clear. I'm having a consult with Craig Rubinstein also so It will be good to have two opinions of fantastic surgeons

I'm going to have a lift with my BA as I am not happy with my saggy boobs and my surgeon recommended it (I am borderline whether needing it or not). Don't really care too much about the scars as they will fade (hopefully/eventually) into nothing if you take care of them right.

NewGirl I sent you a FR :)
